Happy Saturday everyone.

T&P. Wow that sounds horrible. Hope you are better soon.

Julie congrats on the weight loss. I also hoped to lose 50 and I think I am at 15....not going to get much more off before we leave....but Oh well I am going anyways.... :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is safe in the path of Rita.

Silly question. Do you sell Coffee Crisp in the States??? We want to bring something for T&Ting that the kids in the States might not get and DH thought you didn't get Coffee Crisp choc bars.??? :confused3

Have a great Sat everyone!!!

Cheri - We don't charge for drinks at our party, so what kind of offer is that?? :rotfl2:

I'll have them thinking "Can we do that? And is that even legal"? ;)

'Beano'

Beano- shhhhhhh!

on the "can we do that?" note, on the July cruise, we were going to try and go down the Mickey pool at midnight. Trouble was that someone kept locking the door. :confused3 Our only choice would have been to climb UP before going down - not the best idea for a bunch of (adults who had had more than a few). I'm sure that wouldn't have been allowed.

Julie - congrats on your weight loss. A few years ago I left behind 45 pounds. This year half found it's way back. (Stubborn, little buggers.) Turns out you have to keep exercizing and eating right. Bummer!

Well we made it home today.... Our neighbors who stayed in Katy said we didn't get enough rain to even water the lawn. We are lucky that the storm went that far east. We drove in from Austin today in 5 1/2 hours. Any place there was a stop light/intersection/merge was slow. That was 4 hours faster than when my wife went to Austin.

Cheri--- talking to my wife about how you could move nowhere forever... it seems that the delays were caused by people exiting the freeway looking for gas. It backed up onto the freeway and then caused total gridlock. Just imagine if there was a gas station directly on the freeway and every car had to stop and tank up. A car could only move each whenever the a car finished tanking up. They fixed the gridlock by opening up both sides of the freeway.

Looks like we can now relax and get ready for the cruise.... Although since everything is fine I am off to Italy again on Tuesday....

They evacuated a load of their stuffed animals too.
OMG, Kurt - that's too cute! Priorities, you know. ;) I'm glad your family made it out okay and you're all eating well. Nothing like a mom-cooked meal - except in my family. :rotfl2:

Cheri - BUMMER!!!! I wish we knew - Kaila and Courtney were running around the park from 9 - 2 because they decided at the last minute they didn't want to go on the tour. (Good thing, too because the "50th" tour was filled with info we already knew. At least the backdoor rides were cool: Splash Mountain, PoTC, Buzz Lightyear, Storybook Cruise, Thunder Mountain RR) They would've loved to have hung out with your crew.

Sue Ellen - Congrats on the poundage-loss. Way to go!

trishy-
we're going again on the 8th. It's a reunion of the July 9th DIS'ers.

We hosted the party that cruise. While the pretending-to-be-grown-ups were out on the verandah having a few, the kids were inside scarfing all of the food. Somehow, me thinks 'tis not to be a problem this time around.

hey, someone clarify the candy situation for me for t-or-t'ing: are we supposed to remember to bring bags? (remembering isn't my best thing) and are we just packing bags of candy? No one is doing the Martha Stewart thing and making 43 cute little candy bags with raffia bows and homemade cookies inside, are they? :scared:

Sounds like fun. You must have been a tight group. We probably won't go to DL again until after the cruise. On the night of the 8th, we'll be at the Green Day concert. Then the H.I.M. concert on the 15th. After that, we have to move out of our house by the 19th. It's going to be one he!! of a busy month!
sweat.gif
But nothing gets in the way of vacation, right? :cool1: When we get back, we'll be "trailer trash" until our house is done (hopefully December).

We are doing cute bags, but because it's more special trick or treating on the cruise. No homemade stuff, though. I don't want to sicken anybody. All store bought & fun game stuff. Figure they can all use their DCL pillow cases to trick or treat with. Hey, it's vacation - it's "NO PROBLEM, MON!"
as 'philandering Phil' our tour guide in Jamaica always says.

HA! I posted that message and guess what pops up in the iTunes playlist....Bob Marley "Is This Love" - definitely a sign that vacation is nearing. :goodvibes

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and keep in the loop. Wow, can't believe it's almost October!! Really looking forward to the cruise and meeting everyone. Ordered our t-shirts. Hope they arrive soon ... being in Canada and all. But the most important thing ... will they fit?? :goodvibes

Anyone else heading over to the World after the cruise?

Kim ... May be heading over to the new Disney Outlet Store tomorrow. Will keep you posted.

Take care.

Tom

Green Day sounds like a blast. Not familiar with HIM though.

I'm impressed that you're making bags. How are you going to keep them from getting all smooshered on the flight over? Even if I put stuff in carry-ons, it would still be crumpled (and I have to have room for the important carry on stuff - like wine for the party :rotfl2: Priorities, we must have priorities :rotfl: )

Have a great Monday every one. Time for Blue Collar

Cheri - have a great Monday?? Don't rush me, man! Tomorrow's only Sunday - gimme one more day to rest, will ya? :)

We leave for vacation one month from tomorrow! :cool1:
We drive to L.A. on the 25th, fly out of LAX on the 26th, then 3 days at WDW before this boat ride thing y'all keep talking about. ;)

'Beano'

geez, you are right. I've got 2 squealing 7 year-old girls here for an over-nighter. My nerves are shot. (everything is "eek!","squeal", "squak", "shreak!" Boys are so quiet, for the most part)

Have a restful Sunday, Beano - and to all.

It is amazing what the aftermath of Rita has brought here in Houston. There are huge lines at any open gas station. The grocery stores are just starting to open but they don't have much to sell. The lines to get into them are as long as the gas lines. My wife got back from one store that wasn't too bad but she got the last gallon of milk. One guy had 4 gallons in his cart. There was no bread, produce, etc. I can't imagine how bad it would be if the hurricane actually hit here. It is amazing what we take for granted. Thankfully we love to cook. We are going to have eggs benedict for brunch with homemade english muffins. Champagne anyone? :teeth:

:sunny: Hi All...

We're off to see a play today. "My Fair Lady"....and yes, the kids are just SO thrilled..........NOT!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The grandparents bought tickets, but we had NO idea how long it would be.....we're hoping that we can be home at a descent hour, as the kids still have some homework to finish.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend..... :goodvibes

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Personally, I'd rather get home at a decent hour, not a descent one! But RonnieJo may be right! :goodvibes

If God wanted me to spend the day at a play, he wouldn't have invented the NFL. Oh well. :confused3

Julie, you know the fitness center will be twice as big as before when we cruise!! I can't wait to see it. Not USE it of course... just see it. :rotfl:

Is it ok to drink a beer while on the treadmill? ;)

'Beano'

After consulting the official rule book, yes, yes, it is.....as long as it is a lite beer: Coors Lite, Bud Lite.... :goodvibes

Ahh, then it must be ok to drink a rum and diet coke on the elliptical.

Man, I am almost caught up!!!! A page here...10 pages there....

How about this one? I am a little scared to be slammed by the Repub's...but here goes..

"How I plan on curing the economy" By George Bush

Okay, here's safer:

"Adjusting to mainstream society" by Michael Jackson
"The History of Psychiatry" by Tom Cruise

Beano - What about this!

"The Art of Marriage" By Jennifer Lopez

with forward by Elizabeth Taylor......

sorry for all the posts, but have to do something to distract me from this game..... :confused3 :duck:

Tenor - I guess what goes around comes around? :)

What the Redskins did to the Cowboys, apparently they did to the 49ers.

Ah, the hapless forty-whiners. Not sorry I missed it, now. A Dallas/S.F. game just doesn't have the appeal it did 10 years ago, eh? :sad2:
