Cheri - if getting to Paradise Point is no problem... can you imagine that we'll really CARE how we get back?? :rotfl2: J/K

I just don't like the idea of docking 'way over yonder'. It's further to Red Hook. It's further to Paradise Point. It's further to Havensight Mall. Nothing is within walking distance.

It's not where Beano wishes to be. :sad2:

Lynne - You HAD to say it, didn't you. Had to throw the "Palo's" remark in there. Fine. See if I save you any extra Sweet Pizza. :teeth:

Good Monday Morning everyone.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

What is everyone doing in St Maarten??? I have gotten St Thomas figured out but not sure if we want a guided tour, rent a car, do a DCL excursion. We had rented a car, then we changed our minds and now we aren't sure. What are you all doing???

Also, does anyone know when Magic is going into Drydock. I thought I had read it somewhere but can't remember.

Have a great day.

Kim

Morning!

Thanks for the get well wishes..I feel better but Rick is REALLY still sick..he has had it for over a week and is missing teaching a class today because he just can't stand let alone teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support! LOL..he may need it himself :love2:

I have become really addicted to my passporter...but Beano gave me a great note...100% chocolate sauce at Palo!

I take it the Online registration is new..Fran :teacher: didn't have an answer for me...do I have to REregister Kate on Saturday? Also..since Mom is a returning guest and Disney has listed her as such, do I get to use the returning guest check-in?

WHERE ARE THE FR DISCOUNTS TIM!!! :rolleyes1

WOO HOO!!! A month an a half!! :boat:

Beano--I'm with you. I don't like the idea of the new dock area and liked where the Magic used to dock (or tender.)

No FL res rates for any sailings in October as of yet :(

We were planning on swimming with the Dolphins while we were at St. Martin (over at Anguilla) but unfortunately Disney contracts with the Dolphin Discovery to not allow "outside" bookings and only those booked through DCL, so we will not be doing that one. DCL only takes 5 and older for the event and charges $180 per person. The Dolphin Discovery is $115 per person and under 5 can participate at no charge with a parent. :( Oh well, guess we have to rethink our St. Martin plans.

St. Thomas we are doing the Captain Nautica's snorkling adventure (at least until I change my mind again) :P

Only 6 1/2 weeks to go!!!

I hope you are feeling better. Both of my kids have this too (cough, sore throat, just feeling miserable) and I'm fighting it hard.

As for the kids clubs, no you do not have to re-register them if you do it online. You do need to go by the club to get a pager, but if you register them online you are all set.

Yes, I'm still lurking here! :smooth:

Sue Ellen - what is the latest that you can book with the newer security regulations? Kathy starts her PT next week and we're being optimistic but still don't want to take any chances. :sunny:

Barb, we are so not leaving. We have to try the desserts that everyone raves about. :cake:

But you know how fast I eat. Our dinner reservation is for what time? 6:00? I'll be done by 6:15. What am I supposed to do for another hour and a half. LOL!

boy has everyone been busy and chatting. just go back from my parents place in the country it was nice but it was to cold for me, in the 40's at night and in the morning :cold: :cold: :cold: . i was thinking in 7 weeks ill be in 90 degree weather.. I got my passport in the mail today when i got home, now all i need is my docs.

question about the medical release form does everyone have to fill one out or just if you have and existing condition?

Come on over to Mass. We just spent a gorgeous weekend with temps in the 70s and 50s at night. Today and tomorrow will be in the 90s!!! :( This is how people get sick during the fall. I hate this.

Hey Tim!! Looks like we are gonna have to email McAlpin about this nonsense of the Magic docking at the new dock in St. Thomas, far and away from Charlotte Amalie. Gotta pay a taxi, each way? Can't walk to the Paradise Point tram? And the Magic is the ONLY ship docking there?

That won't do. Tom, are you reading this??? This is definitely below the Disney standard.

'Beano'

Beano? How will this effect the cruise. We planned on doing St. Thomas on our own. Should I now plan on an excursion? I think we were going to do the Paradise Point thing, some shopping and maybe hit a beach. Does the new dock blow that out of the water?

I feel like I have done no planning at all. I booked no excursions for St. Martin/St. Thomas/Castaway Cay, etc., because I really love to just wing it. Am I making a mistake?

Hi everyone :wave2:

My DD Lindsey is hoping to see Lilo and Stitch on board the Ship. Does anyone know if they are some of the characters? These are the really important things to my sweet 6 year old :goodvibes

Also what a bummer about the change of docking at St Thomas. We have a day sail scheduled out of Red Hook and were already concerned about the time constraints. It looks like it is twice as far :confused3 Hey Beano and Tim maybe you can work some magic!! :wizard:

Hi Barb,
We have cruised before (this is our first with Disney) and have never really made reservations ahead of time. There is so much to do once you get on board I am sure that you will find all that you need or feel like doing. We havent really booked much ouselves. You will feel like your on vacation no matter what you do :cool1:

Lilo and Stitch were on the Repo cruise with Dave and Jennifer (from the Passporter) so I would think they are on all cruises. Kate is going to be Lilo for Halloween ( I got her wig and she doesn't like it!) and I am hoping to get a picture with her and Lilo

I was planning on just getting off the ship in St Thomas and going to the mall, but with the new dock I don't think I will..I have a massage at 3:30 and CAN"T miss that!

Thanks Betsy!
Lindsey will be very happy to hear the news

I hope you can get that picture with Kate and Lilo that would be soooo cute!!

I wouldn't want to miss the spa reses either :confused3

I didn't see Lilo on my Western cruise last October, mostly just the classic characters.

Anyone have an idea of what they might show for movie night? Last year we saw Ladder 49. I'm thinking maybe they can show Chicken Little because it comes out while we are on the cruise. What do you think?

Any chance of seeing Chicken Little?

Skyrockets in Flight!
Afternoon Bump!
ok..it was funnier in my head!

*BUMP*

Good afternoon all.....

OK, just to tired to work this afternoon so I thought I would take a break and catch up.

We are doing the Sunny Liston tour, in St Thomas read amazing things on him on the cruise critic website. However, that means no tram or bushwachers??? But apparently on Mountain Top they have Banana Daquiri's....that will have to do. Since this is our first trip we want to see as much of the island as possible.

I just wish we could find something similar on St Marten. There is a Joyce Prince who does tours but she is booked for our date....oh well. I guess we will find something to do. If all else fails we will do the under 2 flags tour for the morning and hit a beach somewhere in the afternoon. Plenty of time to get back to the ship on St Marten day.

Oh well back to work, have a good one!!!!

For whomever was talking about the Hawaiian Aloha ship..whatever the name..I was looking at Cruisejunkie.com and they had this report of a lawsuit:

A complaint accuses Norwegian Cruise Line's Hawaii staff of reusing fruit garnishes, suggesting passengers cut up bath towels to make hand towels and using unlined garbage cans for ice. Blue World Travel Corp., a San-Francisco-based travel agency, is seeking damages from Norwegian for a charter cruise last summer aboard the Pride of Aloha that resulted in a class-action lawsuit against the travel agency. Issues include: A few passengers were asked to fill in for crew and take ID photos at the embarkation check-in; Some passengers were told they were eating too much food and at one event were rationed to one slice of pizza; Beds were reportedly made up with dirty linen, with some guests encountering items from previous guests; Passengers who reported dirty, foul-smelling bathrooms were told to pour water down the toilets to make them flush; Some passengers reported a shortage of food on the cruise, and some said the company served moldy and bruised fruit and reused fruit garnishes; Passengers said there were not enough life jackets and that there were other safety violations such as water on the dining room floor, malfunctioning fire doors and broken glass left around

WOW!!! Thank god for DCL!~
