Just kidding. I luv my Anna - but not as much as my peeps here - who seem to largely have abandoned me .... oh the hurt ... yeah, I haven't been out much. Too much kid time and NO grown up time will rot the brain.

Thanks for the CD's Beano!!! I played one of them for the kids and they loved it (well, except for the "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" - "oh Mom do we have to hear that again.")

Cassie loves the Walkin' on Sunshine and the Pink song. She's singing it around the house. The 7 year-old version is ... special ... "I'm walking on sunshine, (mumble, mumble, mumble) feel good! Alright now!" Quite entertaining.

no joke! our house gets two channels NiCkELodedoDoEn and, of course, Disney - oh, and I made them "discover" Animal Planet.

Anybody ever watch Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? (Help me here Beano... we're probably the only two old enough to remember, this and Love American Style and Laverne and Shirley and the Brady Bunch when IT RAN IN PRIME TIME wait, why am I advertising how old you are? )

I LOVED Laverne and Shirley, and long before that, wished I was Greg Brady.

And 'Love American Style' was awesome!! "Truer than the red white and blue...."!

And nothing said 'family-home saturday night' better than Marlin Perkins shooting tranq darts into rhinos!


Ahhh, memories.

Whew! After a few days with the "whiny set" I needed a "remember when" check. Jimmy Neutron,Fairy Oldparents, Kim Possible and whatever other drivel is on (OK, I like Kim) can't hold a candle to a night of "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" followed by, "Come on now, there's a song that we're singing. Come on get happy!". THAT was quality entertainment
(do you get the feeling that there are crickets chirping like in the Bugs Bunny cartoons, Beano?)

Two of my ALL TIME Fav-or-ite shows!!! I'd still watch Gilligan and Jeannie. And I watched her in black and white.

My kids still laugh when I tell them that we only had 2 (or was it 3?) thru 13 and I had to walk (clear across the room in a blinding snowstorm) to change the channel and there were no movie channels - course we do not have movie channels now (yes, my children will need years of therapy because everybody has movies but them) but I digress \ Oh how I wanted to marry Keith Partridge -or Greg Brady. I wasn't picky

don't worry Lynne...they won't even tell me WHAT house they are staying in..I was thinking of switching to the Poly since I am now rich and all (at least after I start the new job I will be) but I think they are gonna move ifen I get the Poly!
