Looks like the rooms that were flooded recently were rooms 8510 & 8512 and ohter rooms around those....I am sure they are all set by now, but just a heads up if you are staying in any of those rooms...

Heres an update..His arm is REALLY still hurting today, Hubby thinks he Really DID break it? We called the DRS emergency line and they told us to go Buy a SLING for it and keep him on the Motrin....DEF NO SCHOOL for him tomorrow and that I MUST call the DRS when they open at 8am tomorrow to see what they want to do and to have the Radiologist call us Pronto to see what they say..DO they KNOW we are going on a cruise in 4 days LOL.....SO his little arm is SLINGED and looks like we will be heading back to the DRS tomorrow, HOPING its JUST a BAD Bruise/ bad fall......DR today i spoke to today said even if its not broken, that Because he HIT it soo hard, it would probably take DAYS for it to feel better......

I agree Beano, vacation starts when I walk out the door from work.

For us, it is when we get far enough down the freeway so we are in "uncommon" territory! There are malls and stores, etc. about 20 miles south of us that we go to all the time; so being in that area isn't vacation. Once we get down around Bakersfield, we know we're goin' somewhere!

I know, we're weird.

Bets - thank you so much for bringing RJ the Moose Munch... I was afraid she'd go hungry on the cruise.

well..i know Beano...I know that with all that beer budget going quick, food budget would get shorted...and chocolate...men always cut that off the budget first!

We don't arrive in Bakersfield, we drive past it!

B-Field is about halfway between home and L.A., so passing it means we're closer to our destination than we are to home. We usually stop and eat at Grapevine, then it's just another 2 hours or so to LAX. And that is exactly what we'll be doing on Tuesday. Then we stay at the Sheraton LAX Tues. night, park our car there for 12 days, and jet our way to Flor-ee-duh!

Beano is looking forward to vacation. Just so ya know.

Yup, I know that area pretty well, Beano old pal. Take the 99 thru Bakersfield to the 5, stop at Grapevine (done that MANY times), and head on over the hill into the City of Angels.

I just couldn't resist a little redneck barb!!
