Barb, there is a natural lull of the boat..like a train....most people don't get sick from it...it is different than standing on solid ground, but nice

I bought Dramimine and Bonine today,...just in case..don't want to spend money on the ship for it

Ronnie - do you like dark chocolate.....oh..it is HEAVEN!!

Hopefully I have enough Bonine. I think I do. As long as I don't actually feel like I'm on a boat I will be fine...I think.

Rachel..what time does your flight come in Friday night. You're not on the 11:00 p.m. are you?

Omg , no, not with 2 littles ones LOL...we leave MANCHESTER NH at 1240 in the afternoon on a NON STOP Flight on southwest..Arrive MCO at 330pm friday.... THEN Rental ummmm :moped: to the RADISSON for the night

Barb, there are 2 kinds of cruise people : Those that get seasick; those that don't. None of us do; we never have.

It is my opinion that about half of those who do get seasick, do so because they convince themselves they're supposed to! Of course some people are truly prone to motion sickness - all I am saying is, don't psych yourself out. It ain't that bad!! If you get car sick, or air sick, or both... you might be more likely to be affected by the ship's motion. But if you're not, then you'll probably forget that the dang thing is even moving!

I am certainly being Mr. Positive tonight, aren't I? :rotfl:

P.S. Yeah, drinkin' helps. ;)

Oh good choice. LOL! I had looked at Manchester's flights a while back in case they ended up being cheaper than Green, and I knew that they only had that one NS in the evening. I forgot about the earlier one. That will get you in at a great time. Perfect for the kids. We don't get in until 9.

LOL! Maybe I ought to give it a try. It will at the least make me forget I'm trapped on a ship in the middle of nowhere with no way of getting off and feeling somewhat claustrophobic. I'm really not psychotic..truthfully. LOL! I'm just a tiny bit nervous about this little adventure I'm undertaking.

So where's everyone else tonight?

Tenor - We want to hear about the party! :cheer2:

Tim - we want to hear the TRUTH about Bets!

By the way, Tim - Did Renee's guess of "Moose Munch" remind you of any jokes I've told ya? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OMG< YUP< we had to take MR KYLE to the ER for a suspected broken arm...YUP 6 days before the cruise.......I took him to the park in our development for a change of scene and he fell off the monkey bars, hit the middle of his arm on the landing and then hit the ground..It wasn't pretty..He couldn't Move his left arm so we ran him to the DRS..they did X-RAYS and DID NOT find a break ...OMG HE was SOO freakin LUCKY as he HIT SOOOO HARD and he is/was in SOOO much pain..We just gave him Tylenol because the middle part of his arm is really hurting and he cant sleep ...Monday when the other radiologist gets in, they will call us to see How he's doing and to see what else they say ..HOLY COW he is soo Lucky!

Beano - I think that I hav heard that Moose Munch joke.

That is the pitfall of being a firefighters wife...you get all the firehouse humor jokes...in fact, I have a joke that I could send you Beano..it is an audio

Rachel: I hope Kyle is better!!! :wizard:

Bets: Is my Moose Munch still intact? :guilty: ;) :confused3 :rotfl2:

...and yes, I love dark chocolate

Send away, Betsy! LOL

The Moose joke I was referring too was about 2 guys going hunting... playing 20 questions... ring a bell? ;) Sorry, can't elaborate anymore here, pretty crude joke I'm afraid.

well..Rick now has my bag...if he don't give it up soon, I may have to break into the other bag...I am truly sorry and can't be held accountable for my actions

I took that pic myself, 2 years ago. :)

I was also very sure I would be seasick on my first cruise and took meds. with me just in case. This will be my 11th cruise and I have never taken anything for seasickness nor have I ever been sick. These ships are so big and because of the stablizers, there is very little motion. You will love it, you first timers!!! :cool1:
We are under a hurricane watch right now but they have only issued evacuation orders for the Keys and the low lying areas of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. I feel very safe here in my condo with the shutters over my patio. Just want this thing to get out of here so I can concentrate on THE MAGIC!

Chris - can I change my post guess...you all are too chatty
Sorry, %, but da rulz is quite clear on this point: one guess only.

As for me bein' so chatty today, I spent all afternoon in the ER. Some stuff was goin' on that wasn't quite right, so I went and had it checked out. They ran a gazillion tests and I'm pleased to say that everything is cool.

But, you can't really post to the DIS from the local ER, I found out. Sheesh!!!
