%, or anyone, please let us know when the reason for the delayed departure is announced. I'm crossing my fingers it was just rain. Rain doesn't make black smoke though.

It's been a very stressful day and now I'm thinking our vacation could go from fun-fest to green face-fest.

Rachel - we have been on 6 cruises, all in October, and every one was fabulous. March is fine too, but don't write this one off before you've taken it!

Cheri - stop with the green-face stuff right now! You'll be fine, I'll be fine - everyone will be fine. It can't rain next saturday, because Beano loves sailaway parties and rain screws them up... so no rain! :sunny:

But if you look closely at the picture that Da Beanster posted, you can see what looks like white smoke coming out of the stack. Someone probably just thought that they saw black smoke.

No...I saw big puffs of black smoke...alot...but it might have been them starting the engines...like when you start a diesel car...

Plus it was wet. Maybe thats what caused the black smoke.

I am seriously concerned about sea sickness though. Every post I've read from the returnees talks about the "motion of the ship"..."I finally got used to the "motion of the ship". That just doesn't sound right to me. I don't want to feel like I'm on one long amusement park ride. :sick:

Barb, there is a natural lull of the boat..like a train....most people don't get sick from it...it is different than standing on solid ground, but nice

I bought Dramimine and Bonine today,...just in case..don't want to spend money on the ship for it
