Hey everyone, y'know how when someone is pregnant, people have office pools & such to try and guess the date and time the baby is gonna be born??

Well, it might be fun to have a similar contest here. I'm willing to put up a sailaway drink as a prize for the person who gets the closest to guessing the number of posts we'll have on this thread by the time we sail.

Since this is kind of a devious bunch, I'll lay down a couple of basic rules:

1) We'll base it on the number of posts that exist as of noon the day we sail.
2) Anyone making obviously (per my judgment) "fluffy" posts within 48 hours of the deadline will be disqualified. There are, after all, people on this thread that are willing to do almost ANYTHING for a free drink. I won't mention any names, or else you might think I'm talking about Beano and Timmy.
3) The drink must be obtained from Hopeton at the adult pool bar. He makes great drinks, you can have anything he serves, but he doesn't serve Dom Perignon or other such "drinks" (this rule is a little financial protection/hedging from yours truly).
4) You can make only one guess (no revisions), to be submitted to this thread (or via PM to me if you want your guess to be proprietary) by midnight PDT this coming Sunday.

Alright, Beano forced me to get legal with y'all. I thought 4 explicitly-written rules was bad enough, considering only one sail-away drink is at stake. But OK, I'll play along. I have consulted my attorney, and have included for your information the below-specified supplemental rules. They are in fine print in order to assure you they were prepared by a real lawyer, and were not fraudulently concieved by me.


1) The "Disney Magic October 29, 2005 Guess The Posts By Sailaway Date" contest ("Contest"), is a voluntary, optional, non-compulsary, discretionary, and non-obligatory event intended exclusively for content contributors ("Posters") to the "October 29, 2005 Magic" CruiseMeets thread ("Thread"). Persons deemed to be silent indirect Thread participants (“Lurkers”) are not eligible.
2) The operator of Contest, SoccerFamily Imbibement Promotions LLC ("Soccerdad") is the sole and exclusive owner of Contest, and retains all rights and ownership thereto. Whereas, financial commitments have been made by Soccerdad as part of Contest, said commitments are limited exclusively to the underwriting or purchase of the offered prize (“Sail-Away Drink”). Any other real or implied commitments made by Soccerdad at any time, regardless of any actual or perceived impaired state (“Drunken Stupor”) are hereby made void, especially if said commitments are made during Drunken Stupor.
3) Posters may not, within 48 hours of the expiration of Contest, artificially influence the outcome of the Contest by purposely and deliberately creating Thread content entries soas to increase the likelihood of obtaining Sail-Away Drink. Soccerdad, at his sole and exclusive discretion, may determine that a Poster has violated this clause (“Cheated”) by providing written notice to Poster via private message (“Private Message”). Regarding said discretion, it is not subject to any appeal, questioning, criticism, or other form of contradictory argument (“Buck Stops With Soccerdad Cuz He’s Paying”).
4) A professional imbibement engineer (“Hopeton”) has been retained by Soccerdad as the sole and exclusive agent for administering the payout of Sail-Away Drink. Soccerdad may, at his sole and exclusive discretion, substitute an alternative payout agent in the event the Hopeton can not fulfill the duties and responsibilities referred to herein ("He Quit").
5) This Contest is null and void where prohibited. And, your mileage may vary.
