Not planning on leaving town unless I have to. It is such a pain because there are only a few roads and they are under construction. It is a nightmare day in the car to evacuate this place. Then good luck finding a place to stay. I am right on the intracoastal waterway literally by 30 feet or so. I am in a mandatory evac zone if its coming. Could be an exciting weekend. That is for sure. I hope that it weakens to a 1 by the time it gets here. That would help. I do not want to be sitting through a cat 5. That much I know.

I just noticed your location. We used to live in Lake Oswego, and later out in Aloha. Right around the corner from you!!

My parents now live in Tigard.

I moved to FL for whole nother reason but being close to WDW isn't too bad either.

I am also right on the Intracoastal Waterway at Oakland Park Blvd. I am about 300 feet from the beach. I have shutters and as Betsy says, I will be "hunkered down". I am on the 3rd floor facing the beach so I am not really sure what else I will do unless they say it is manditory to leave the barrier island. If they do, I will go to Betsy's. I did that last year twice and the weather was worse in Palm Bch. County than here and we ended up coming back here after the storms because they had no electric and we did down here.

I'm STILL trying to catch up on the posts...I'm on page 405

Been a busy few days. Our passports FINALLY came, I went shopping for all the last minute stuff, my Tinkerbell costume came today, and we got our dining rotation that we wanted (PLA)

I'm a little worried about that hurricane...hope all of you in FL stay safe

Curious, how do you know you got PLA? U gots connections like RonnieJo's hubby? We've always requested and never been told until boarding, and I called the conci, concee, conceir..... that line. Guess that counts nuthin' (unless your the Beano)

Our group has two rooms booked... a cat. 2 and the cat. 4 right next to it (we tried for the Walt suite, but they said we had 2 too many people ...Beano be lucky that we didn't get it!). Anyway, my brother called Monday night and got us on the PLA rotation...no problem. Gotta love that conciergrey-thingy
