**October 27 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

All we are crazy for trying to make ressies 180 days in advance/getting up earlier than normal/planning on wearing out our cell phones/calling long distance/getting ready to be put on hold for a meal.

Just got "Our site is down for maintanence. Please try again later."

Well, atleast it's a new message!!!
 

New error message now:

"Our site is currently down for maintenance. Please try back later."
 
Well something has changed for me because now when I try to open the page to make ressies for Ohana I get this:

Sorry, the booking system is currently unavailable. Please try again later or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.
 
Now I get this:

"Our site is currently down for maintenance. Please try back later."
 
Well to be fair, they're going to be doing 91 times the work they usually do today. I'm guessing that their online ressie system was nothing but a bubbling puddle of melted plastic and metal by 5:45. My gripe is that they should have expanded it a week at a time instead of just chucking 90 extra days at it at once...

It would have made a lot more sense to open the reservations gradually as opposed to all at once. I was positive this was going to happen. I had no plans to try to make any reservations for our March trip until the weekend at the earliest.

Heck, I usually book ADR's at 40 days out anyway so it's not a biggie for me. :lmao: We're way past the CRT stage and there's no place we absolutely HAVE to eat. It's a lot easier when you're able to be more flexible in what you want.

The sad part is that I highly doubt that the system is going to be working on Disney's end when everyone tries to call at 7:00, too.
 
Just a thought folks but if we've crashed the online dining system, more than likely calling will do us no good either. Their system is probably DOA as well. :eek:

Now I am getting that the following: "Our site is currently down for maintenance. Please try back later." Really? Maintenance. This information would have been useful YESTERDAY (when I was setting my alarm for 4:30 instead of 6:15).
 
There really isn't anything to expedite it to instant, but the fastest way through is to press number 1 when they are asking if you want Spanish. Then you say "Reservations" "No" and "No" (Assuming you don't want V&A - otherwise it's "Yes" and "No")

I wanted to add, that you need to let the automated voice start her question, but as soon as she starts, you can interrupt with your answers.
