Just called DCL and asked if they were having anything special for Halloween on board - they said yes!

They usually have a family trick & treating area, costume contests like 'most disney', 'spookiest', 'most original', etc.

The cast member says to bring on the costumes! Of course, my son wants to be something that wouldn't fit into a suitcase so I'll have to rethink. My daughter has her pirate outfit from last year that she'll wear on pirate night, but now we'll look for something else for her too!

Well, at least I have some time now for surfing for costumes. I had arothoscopic knee surgery last week and I'm off for another week and a half. I tried going back to work on Tuesday, but I couldn't get my work area set up correctly for comfort, etc. So I'm working as I can from home.

I'm trying to get the knee better for the cruise.

He had a raging fever all night... I slept in a chair next to his bed. He was up and down, got sick to his stomach when I tried to give him water... and it was a LONG night.

Fever is broken now and he says his head doesn't hurt. I'm hopeful that it was bug and the bug is gone!

I'm officially off work and ON VACATION!!!!!

I don't have to go back until Sept. 4th.

I'm off to do laundry and pack... so if I don't get a chance to pop back on ... then I'll see y'all when I get back from KY!!!

Just read this on another thread , never know about it
but we are going to be up early anyhow
You must clear customs on Wednesday morning, St. Thomas. You will receive a timetable as to when you need to present yourself at the WDT. Those with shore excurstions go first followed by others per each deck. It truly is painless and takes just a few minutes. St. Thomas day is such a short day being that the ship leaves about 4:30 that I'm always happy to be up early to enjoy the beauty of St. Thomas or St. John

Thank you to all the prayers and well wishes for our daugther..we are looking forward to meeting some of you nice people...my name is Mike DW is Donna, DD16 Jennifer Ds 13 Mike also...we also have DMIL Alice and DFIL Dan...coming along with us...we have 2 connected cabins on deck 6..cat.6..with vernanahs....first cruise for all of us...hoping for good weather, good health, and no sunburn or seasickness...has anyone even tried Safesea...and is it needed<dd wants to know>... we learned a lot from these boards and hope to post more as we get closer to sail date...bye for now

I am worried that with all the pre-cruise bonding & knowing that we are going to have such a great time together.....that I will shed a few tears as well & I am a big old sap anyway. Won't we be a sight when we have a great big & we are all .

I am sure i will cry, ....alot of times, as i cry when i read posts and trip reports, so i will be sure to have atissue at all times!!!!

Paula, you said we'd be one of 7 ships in port at St Thomas? Do you have the link to the site where you found it? I think it would be neat to know what other ships will be in port that day. Looking at us on the Magic. Seeing the error of their ways .

Last night, and I realized that we were just 9 weeks from our last days at work before the cruise. 9 weeks from today, some Moonies will already be at WDW. It seems so close now. I don't have plans for a shrine, but want to do some things for our stateroom door. Got some LGMH already prepared. And there's DreamCruiser's door sign. Running out of time to brainstorm.

I feel like early dinner tonight, so I'm off to the kitchen
