My treat bags ( I think I will have enough for 24) are going to have stickers, pencils or pens, little note pads, pirate temporary tatoos & a cool pirate bracelet. If ya'll aren't bringing candy then I won't bother to pack any either as it will just take up more room in my suitcase, but I had planned on tootsie pops & smarties cause they won't melt.

I hope pirate night & Halloween won't be the same...........as I have already ordered pirate costumes & have my friend making my Mary Poppins costume for Halloween. Thoughts please...surely they will be different nights.

Twicks........:lmao: at that banana boat story.

I feel like this when you guys talk sewing......:duck: as it's way over my non-sewing head. :lmao: I wish I could sew & I bet my friend who is making my Mary P costume wishes I could too. :rotfl:

Long time no see Chris......glad to see you back.

Hoping Kim & Noah are having a wonderful trip in KY!!!!! :goodvibes:

According to this link that PJ sent me, (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-dining.htm#DressCode)

Pirate night appears to be on the same night as Halloween - maybe they will change the pirate night?? Is any able to provide additional information.

I was trying to decide if I tell her about the cruise now or later...

I am room mom so I felt like I was "keeping it from her"...lol

So yesterday I had to send her an email about his allergist appointments and his allergy shots (I will take him once a mnth during recess and lunch, so he will not miss any teaching time).... so I decide to throw in that we are missing Parent/Teacher conferences (two days off school) and the 3 days after them. She replies that she Loves Disney! and thinks it will be a great experience for him!!!! And that we can meet after school one day the week before and she will give me all of his work!!! Yay!!! I am so glad that we have a cool teacher.

Can I share a photo of my little man getting on the school bus heading off to 1st grade:

Thanks for looking!

Isn't Halloween Wednesday? That says for Eastern Pirate night is Tues? or am I reading it wrong? They are back to back nights which does mean we need to rest up right =-)...

I still need easy Halloween ideas for DH, DD(4) and myself.... DS is all set... and we are all set for Pirates...dd wants to wear her pirate stuff both nights but I am afraid it might be dirty and sweaty... after all she is 4 =-). But it gives me something to do.

Good Morning Moonies :yay: ... I finally got a connection (5 tries... which is why I haven't posted from here yet) and wanted to say Hi! I miss you guys... and I can't wait to catch up when I come home on Labor Day. To all the new sailors that are joining us... if anyone wants to update the roster go for it... I'm sure it would take a miracle for me to stay connected long enough to pull it off! If not, I'll do so when I return! I hope everyone is well!! See ya next week! :goodvibes

CAN WE GO YET????????????????????

Hello kimm, you two have a great time down there...

ps...Watch out for them mountain boys....:rolleyes1
In keeping with my family traditions... I might find me a husband at the family reunion!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I was doing my manicure and pedicure last night and my Cousin/StepBrother told me that men don't like prissy women down here... in fact... the more teeth you have, the lower your chances of snagging a man. :scared1:

Vital,
i ws also thinking, GOSH maybe WAY too much , that if you did it in the classroom, soem of the kids may becoem jealous, or upset. You know, alot of kids are not as fortunate as our kids, to be able to do the WONDERFUl things we do for ours.
IMHO!
think I would agree with this

While standing in the elevator at work yesterday I thought to myself, “hmm, this would be a nice outfit to wear to dinner on the cruise.” Here’s the catch, I was wearing white pants.

Does the “no white after Labor Day” thing still go for tropical locations where everyday is like summer? Perhaps those of you who live near palm trees can tell me how it is by you.

Thanks for looking!

Great pic, reminds me of Ryan and Rosie's first day at school when they went in all brave and without looking at each other their little hands locked as they crossed the play ground,i remember it like it was yesterday because it was a VERY windy day and i got some grit in both eyes as i walked back to the car....:rolleyes1

tsoccer- What a handsome young man!!!

jordgrubben, from the land of palm trees......The white rule really doesn't apply except that since we don't "see" the seasons change I think we all avoid white after labor day so we can have some "sense" of the changing seasons. I always thought it appropriate to wear "tropical" or light colored attire while cruising. Here in Florida we wear shorts year round and all most ALL restuarants etc. are EXTREMELY casual. I say go for it, but others with more cruise knowledge can correct me if I am leading you astray:goodvibes

Kimmie, So glad you are enjoying yourself, I see you have a cousin/stepbrother......Funny I have an exboyfriend/stepbrother  don't ask LOL.......yep, we are from the south too:rotfl2: :lmao:

Dizz, YUCK no days off till MONDAY!!! Sounds like your shirt is going to look so cool, I think I may bead DD's shirt at the bottom, but not sure yet, I know a few tricks from high school when we use to fix up our cheerleading tees.

Chris, Nice to see you again this morning

T and T time, how about 2pm??

Good Morning Moonies! I slept instead of jogged this morning. I figured one day won't kill me. I'm going to take my son walking this afternoon so I'll still get in some exercise.

I'm really ready to go. I was looking at our pics from the last cruise and it's gotten me all fired up. I need some opinions please! If we fly, we have to be at the airport by 0900. Ethan goes to school at 0700 so he'd be there for 2 hours before time to leave here's what I need help on:

1. Should I let him sleep in and just wake him up with my Pirate Princess Mickey ears on and say surprise, we're going to WDW instead of school today!

2. Should I send him to school and get everything ready and go to his room with above ears on and say the same thing!

Do you think it'd be better to do it in front of his friends so they could get all excited with him? His teacher already told me what an awesome thing it is that I'm doing so I know she'd play along.

HELP ME DECIDED PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'all have a fantastic day and I'll catch up this afternoon!pirate:

We surprised our daughter with a trip to WDW a couple of years ago. She was in Grade 2 at the time and I told her that morning that she had a dentist appointment and that I would be picking her up early from school. When I got her into our vehicle she saw all the luggage and my husband was videotaping her and then we told her we were going to Disney. The look on her face was priceless! It was sooo hard not telling her before hand - - but really worth the surprise.

Chris.............;) :goodvibes :rolleyes1

Brianne&Sami'smom How Fun!! I am sure that is a memory she will cherish for ever:goodvibes

This is such a morning group. Our kids havent started school yet they start Sept 5. Great school bus pic:thumbsup2

Since I don't want anyone to be disappointed if they miss the deadline (which is this Friday), I thought I would re-post this on Disneygrl36's behalf. :thumbsup2

Thanks for doing that Colleen. :goodvibes : I was going to do it tonight. I will post the updated list of people ordering & amounts when I get home tonight & then anyone that wants to make changes can let me know.

thanks for the correction, Trish - I was looking at the Western Caribbean time line...oops :sad1:

Our kids started on Monday the 27th...So they will get just about 2 months in before we take them out for 11 days...we also got the educational excuse forms to fill out....we will put down seaworld and discovery cove as animal research...and cruise as exploring different cultures..St. Marteen and St. Thomas..hope they will believe that..LOL..hope everyone is as excited as we are....bye for now:)

Been so busy at work, the computer's been off since Sunday evening.

Dizzi- there were, what 8-10 pages of posts since then? We got 1 email. In the time it took me to catch up :surfweb: , the last 2 posts came to my inbox. Go figure :confused3

When marking your schedules, don't forget the meet 'n greet at 3pm, deck 9, Goofy pool. Any other get-togethers in mind?

Sean
