Hi! Three more to join the group. My DH Terry and DD Lauren (23) and myself Debbie.
It's been over 10 years since we cruised the Wonder. I found my old drink mug that in the old days you purchased just like the resorts if you wanted soft drinks. Nice to not carry that thing around but we just replaced it with the beer mug!!! Haha

I'll be sending out a note about the Mixology wait list both here and on Facebook. I read somewhere that a group was able to schedule two Mixologies because the first filled up so quickly. It's possible we could get enough people for a second.

I plan on getting the beer mug for DH. I like beer too but on vacation I'm going to go the girlie drinks with the umbrellas and fruit!

Oh would love for them to meet Lexi. She didn't want to go to the teen club on our last cruise because she didn't know anyone! Do you think your girls could get her interested?

This will be our first cruise in 7 years. I have many new questions now.

*Last time we did a Halloween cruise there was a group that organized trick-or-treating. Has anyone started that yet?

*We will be with 11, 12, and 13 year olds. Can someone confirm that those kids are able to check in and out of their club without a parent? Or let me know the rules for that age group.

*I saw that there is a facebook group started, can someone please tell me how to join that?

Hi Robyn,

There is the Oceaneer's Lab, for up to 12 years old, but I believe if they are 10 and over, and parents give permission, they can check them selves in and out.

There is also the Edge, for 11-14 year olds, and they just check them selves in a and out. One of the best things to do is to go to the open house at the Edge on the first night of the cruise! Also at our group's meet and greet on the first day is a great way for the kids to meet others the same age! Welcome to the cruise!

I'm Julie and my DH, Blake and I just booked this cruise! It will be our first cruise ever, for both of us, and how appropriate to make it a Disney one, and a Halloween one too! We don't have any little ones yet (somewhere in the near future, hopefully!), but we did just get a brand new maltipoo puppy on Tuesday, so we do have a "fur" baby! We just celebrated our five year anniversary with a California road trip that ended in DLR, of course.

We are sooooooooo excited to experience the DCL and cruising in general. We are "those Disney people" to all our friends. So we love going on trips and meeting other "Disney people!"

We were supposed to go on a 4-night Dream last November, but had to cancel the day before we should have flown to WDW. So sad. But, I believe that there is a reason for all things that happen in life so I am just happy that we now have the chance to go again AND, oh my goodness you all seem like such a fun group! I'm headed over to Facebook right now to join the group!

Okay, I'm off to read the rest of this thread so I can feel like, I "know" some of you by the time October 26th rolls around! (Which will be in the blink of an eye! )

Welcome to the group, Julie! You will find quite a few of "those Disney people" in our group. You'll see a lot of wonderful pictures on our Facebook page that attest to that.

So sorry about your Dream trip getting cancelled. On the positive side, you now have 7 nights on a Disney ship! We're a friendly group so no doubt you will know quite a few of us by October!

Please read!!! Two things....first, I realized in our spreadsheet we were missing a Meet tab. Not everyone is doing FE, ToT, or Mixology but we all want to meet! SO GLAD you are here!! Do you want to be wait listed on the Mixology. It sounded fun. I'm hoping you will give me ideas on the FE and how to make the FE itself.. Going to be a great cruise. Was the Wonder a lot like the Magic??? Any differences that you saw?

Hi Mekamax! We did the 7 day eastern over 10 years ago on the Wonder. I really think the only difference is theming in the clubs and restaurants. I saw they have upgraded the bedding ( comforters and pillows? ) but not sure if the Alaska sailings have made any changes to the ship.
Hoping to join the Facebook page so I can catch up on everything. I need to ask to be put on the mixology wait list... Although we bring so much liquor I could host one in our stateroom! Haha
This cruise will be here before we know it!!!

OK - we will take you up on the hosting of one in your cabin! Couldn't help it! We bring on too so I know what you mean. I had heard how much fun they were when NCL started it back in like 2005 and wanted to do it but just didn't ever get around to it - as a group supposedly it can be a lot of fun with the right people. So thought it might be a good extra for this cruise since we haven't done it yet in all these years and the group seems fun. Love all these cute characters I can add to the message on Disboards!!!! On the Wonder when you went did they have the lounge on top of the Cove Cafe for Adults? That is supposedly different from the Magic but not sure when they added it??

I think most of the group is GTY. We have very few room numbers on the list. I have a feeling you're not alone in checking for assignment.

We also have a wait list for a Mixology class and I hope to turn it into a second Mixology class. Plus we have the Fish Extender which Kristen (kjack89048) is managing.
