Kommando K here--we just returned from the 11/2 Fantasy Cruise and booked for 10/25 Western. Sailing is my hubbie of 35 years and me. Our cruise was crazy fun! Sounds like you've got a lot planned already!

Are Halloween sailings more popular than others?
Perhaps with the new OBB rules more will be joining at a faster rate.

We just got off our amazing Oasis cruise. I noticed a few new folks joined our thread. I'll update the roll call here real soon.

As far as the FE goes... I think a lot of people have been making more out of it than is necessary over the past few years... Gifts don't have to be personalized and they really don't need to be a big deal. Don't be intimidated by some of the threads on the boards where people show off their creative skills and how much time and effort folks have put into their gifts. Those are nice, but getting something simple is nice too. Everyone is welcome!

I totally agree with Ron. We just got off the Halloween Cruise for this year and I felt bad and intimidated because I thought that my gifts weren't good enough. Now that I have the time to do the personalized gifts, We but like Ron said everyone just because I have the time and money to do it by no means you all don't have it. We are cause it gives me and my husband and little give things to do together.

Thank you!! That was really nice of you to say. I have looked into that and the door decorating (Samantha is a huge fan of decorating) I have just not pulled the trigger and committed to either. When i come back from Fiji, I will put more time and research into it and let the organizers know.

I haven't signed up for San Juan either, but I keep thinking of all the cruises, I think this one would be the easiest to participate in FE and Door Contest.

A lot of Dis regulars have been shopping other lines with DCL raising prices and changing up the OBB bennies. I feel many regulars reached their limit and will be moving on to other lines. Of course, variety is the spice of life.

There is definitely a lot of variety (spice of life) out there. Disney is an awesome cruise, however many people can't afford there prices and now with the price increases and obb benefits changing, I can see many looking at other options too. As you can see I have sailed on many different ships. Each cruise will always have a special memory. When I first started cruising, Costa and MSC had offers that kids would sail free and just pay port charges. So a family of 4 can sail really cheap. The other lines all offer something special too. I would say of all the ones that I have sailed the two I disliked the most was Carnival and Norwegian. My fave outside of Disney would be Holland and Celebrity, I have Holland coming up in March, can't wait....Just love cruising Sometimes I just wish I could be left out there at sea just sailing around from island to island...

Hello everyone! We are getting married on this cruise. I am going to go back and read all the previous 54 pages this weekend.

Cindi- absolutely! PM me if you have a Google username and I can add you as an admin on the list page in Drive (I think- I haven't had success with that yet, but I can keep trying! LOL!) I'm happily accepting any help I can get! For just Halloween? If I can recall correctly there was an adult party in one of the lounges. I think I might remember an adult costume contest but my memories on that are a bit fuzzy..I know there was a family or group costume contest. There wasn't too much actually geared towards Halloween just for adults. Of course things may have changed since 2010! One of the things I would love to do for this group is either arrange a private Mixology or if we can't swing that (we need someone in concierge willing to arrange it) then maybe we can just pick one to all try to sign up for. We had a private Mixology session on our last cruise just for our Dis group and it was totally awesome! One of the best experiences of the entire cruise! They even made us a signature drink named after our Dis group! We'll have to figure out the logistics on possibly doing that this time. I have updated the FE list, welcome aboard to all our new cruisers and the new folks doing FE! I noticed we have several nut allergies in our group I went in and highlighted the allergy information to red and also I made the cabin numbers of folks that have allergies red for easier recognition. So if you notice the change that's why! We have been crazy busy here lately. As Ron has mentioned we are cruising on Oasis of the Seas in just 19 short days...and we still have a million things to do. We are very excited to visit Jamaica for the first time and will bring back a full report for those of you who have not been there yet! And as Halloween approaches, I can't help but think of how AMAZING next Halloween will be!

A mixology session would be so much fun! What a great idea as well as the scavenger hunt for the kids.

Wow, it's great to see the cruise growing, with 33 cabins on the roll call and 15 cabins participating in the FE and we still have a year to go, i can tell this is going to be an amazing cruises!!!! I can't wait, I'm getting so excited

Thanks so much. We have been planning our WDW trip starting next Monday now I can't wait till the cruise even more. My 6yo is so disappointed on not heading to the cruise from the parks. Hope he has a good job when he grows up. You he me so much.... I really can't wait!
