There are no silly questions. Only silly answers. :lmao:

Some describe the dining rotation that way, using numbers.

So the 2nd restaurant you will be in is also repeated twice in a row later in the cruise. At least in our case.

It took me a while to understand having the rotation represented by #'s.

Hi eveyone,

I am 95% sure we are going to go on this cruise. I was tasked with planning a trip for next year and I want to go on the fantasy so bad. :)

Now the hard part of this whole thing is kind of the timeing. Because we are active duty it is really hard to plan something so far out. You never know what you will be doing that far out. So far we see nothing happening on the calendar so we should be good.

So are "we"? We includes myself, who will have turned 30 the month before our cruise. My loving DH Jeremy who will be 36 when we cruise and our daughter Clara who will be 3 when we cruise. Oh we are also a dual military couple :).

I am debating about booking our room now because I really want to do a concierge room. I am just afraid of the non-refundable deposit and being so far out. Although I did read that as long as you are not in the penatly period you can move your deposit to another cruise date.

Hey guys. Welcome to the new cruisers! We just got back from a week long busy trip in Orlando. I'll update post one with the newbies and incorporate Bear's suggestions within the next few days.

...Ron, can you give me any tips on booking a hotel for our Oasis Trip? I've tried Priceline, my bidding keeps getting turned down, and the prices without bidding seem kind of steep compared to what we are used to paying in Cape Canaveral. Perhaps it's the time of year? Trying to book for the last day of January. Do you recall how you got the Hyatt Place?

We got the Hyatt Place through priceline. At the time it was the only 3 star in Las Olas area so as long as the bid was accepted you were pretty much guaranteed to get that. I'm not sure if that still works because I think there is another place that is 3 star called Riverside. Fort Lauderdale is really steep compared to Canaveral esp. in the winter time and early spring. We stayed at a different Hyatt Place before our Allure cruise in 2011. That one was through hotwire and it was a 3 star in the airport area. Unfortunately the tricks of figuring out the hotwire hotels are a thing of the past. You used to be able to figure out what hotel was which by their ammenties offered, but hotwire has switched them up so much that they don't really match up to what's on the betterbidding website anymore. If you want to stay at the Hyatt place in Las Olas your best bet is to try all the different Expedias, travelocitys, and such and just look for the best price. Or if you are open just use hotwire and only select a 3 star or better... Sorry if I'm not much help.

We're in! It'll be DH and myself, along with my MIL & FIL, my mom and her DH. Trying to get more family to come along including DH's grandmother and some cousins. We'll be celebrating DH's 30th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary (which isn't until December but we're combining everything). This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, our first on the Fantasy. Would have preferred Eastern Caribbean, but this is the week that worked best for everyone's schedules. We're super excited to spend a whole week with DCL, Disney cruises are the best! :thumbsup2

Welcome!

I just booked our trip today :cheer2: and can't believe I have to wait so long before we cruise.

Here is our info. Please count us in for FE group(if it exists) and add us to the roll call:

Cathi(me), DH Bob, DD Olivia (17 at sailing) and DD Grace(14 at sailing)
We are from Wisconin and this will be our 2nd cruise. Our first was on the Dream in 2011. We started with a 3 day to see how we would like it. Since we haven't stopped talking about our "tropical depression" of not being back on board, we decided to book a longer one this time. Can't wait!

Glad you could join us! 3 days is way too short... You're going to love the longer 7 days! As far as the FE, please PM nenner1. She'll get you all signed up.

Hello! I added you to the roll call right there next to the rest of your family.

Hi eveyone,

I am 95% sure we are going to go on this cruise. I was tasked with planning a trip for next year and I want to go on the fantasy so bad. :)

I hope you can join us! I've added you to the roll call so keep us posted if you guys can't make it. Or better yet if you can!

Anxiously awaiting official confirmation on our room number, but we are definitely joining the October 25th sailing...and couldn't be more excited! Our family consists of Brianne (redwings30) age 31 at sailing time, my husband Ray 36, son Iain age 15, and son Braden age 4. We will be unofficially celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. We live in Michigan, where it is often quite chilly on Halloween, so we are looking forward to celebrating it in the sunshine! We just got back in May from our first family trip to WDW and just fell in love with the Disney magic! This will be my 3rd cruise, but the rest of the family's first. My husband has always been a bit apprehensive of cruising, so I hope he enjoys it! I'm 99% sure we will be in room 5552, but will confirm when we get an email back from the travel agent. Looking forward to spending our first family cruise with all of you!

Hi everyone,
We just switched to this cruise today and will now be joining you on this Halloween cruise. It is me Vicki, DH Marty, DD Adriane 16, DS Zach 12, DD Stephanie 10, DS Isaac 7, DS Vincent 4, DS Elias 2. We were on the Halloween 2010 cruise with several of the Dis boarders on this thread and had such a great time. Hi Jen  We are looking forward to another great time on this cruise. :thumbsup2 We were originally scheduled to go on another Alaskan cruise, but Marty would of had to use up too much vacation time for work.

We are also interested in playing FE too. Our room numbers are 2513 and 2515. I am going to read through this thread and get all caught up.

Looking forward to chatting with all of you before we cruise.
Vicki

Welcome to the Cruise Meet.

Do you realize your balcony is the 2nd largest aboard?
This cabin is a handicap and has a large veranda and such.
Have you seen the photos here of said veranda? http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g345/alamere1496/5052verandah_zps52fd06e7.jpg
Bring tricycles and bicycles for use on the 500 sqft veranda. lol

If not, let us know if you are interested in photos. lol

Anyway , welcome all newcomers, and we will have a blast aboard.

Wow!! We realized by looking at the deck plans that it seemed large, but that picture really speaks a thousand words. Looks like we may have to host a private dis group party out there! Lol. My husband has never cruised and was leery about feeling "contained", so we opted for a larger room...but now he may get spoiled!! Thanks for sharing that photo!

Hey gang! I got the FE list updated today- we are up to 15 Participants (58 individuals):thumbsup2 Very excited to see the list filing out so quickly.

If you want to be added to the FE just PM me (click on my username) or add a post on FB. :goodvibes

Vicki so excited to cruise with you again, I know Savannah will be excited to see Adriane! And congrats on your new addition since the last time!:goodvibes

I've been doing some simple brainstorming on the ToT. We probably won't start serious panning on this event until maybe the first of the year....but I am definitely interested in any and all ideas anyone has for it!

If you are interested in reading about how we did out it in 2010 check out my post about it in my TR HERE. It took about an hour to complete so it doesn't take a huge chunk out of your day!:thumbsup2

Just something to think about!

I will definitely volunteer to (wo)man a station! Sounds like a great time - and what a huge workload! Hopefully you will be able to reuse a lot of the material with minor tweaking?! If we end up driving, and not flying, I can bring a lot of candy, too. I'm sure we will iron out the details down the road, but I just want you to know I'm in for helping! :)

Hey Jen,
Thanks for adding us to the FE list. :thumbsup2 We are also looking forward to cruising with all of you again too. Adriane really enjoyed hanging out with Savannah on our last cruise with you. She will be excited to see Savannah again as well. We definitely will be interested in the ToT again too. That was a lot of fun last time. Either Marty or I can help out with handing out candy like we did last time, while the other one takes the kids ToT. We can also either donate some money for candy or bring a bag along to pass out ---just let us know as it gets nearer. This cruise will be a lot of fun and we are looking forward to it!:goodvibes
Vicki
P.S. Adriane is planning on starting a kid's thread for this cruise soon too. I will post a link on here if she makes one in the next couple of days. :)
