read somewhere on here about a tag exchange , once you are tagged you tag someone else
not too sure how it worked
but I do think we have to spilt it into a more mangeable size
walking around all the decks takes a long time and lots of walking

I don't know how you all have done it in the past - but on our last cruise we just went around once. It was nice, because everyday you got a little surprise. So, to me 25 isn't bad at all.

SUZIEMVA - we are a little waterlogged down here. We were able to see the sun a little bit yesterday - but looks like it is back to rain this afternoon. We haven't had a problem with sink holes - but the pot holes are multiplying like rabbits. As for the tornadoes - we are under tornado watches so often, people don't take them seriously - including my kids. The last one that blew through our neighborhood was right after Isabel. We have been very lucky.

On our last cruise we tried to play "tag" and it got all messed up. By the 3rd day we were told to just deliver when you felt like it. It would be neat if different people delivered items on different days . I had forgotten about trick or treating......What was our plan fro that??????

Pam is doing the T&T all we have to do is take some treats with us
she done it last year and it was great fun
it was a treasure hunt and the kids went in small groups with an adult to find the clues where other adults were waiting with another clue and then all groups met up to find the tresures

we done it on a sea day Not Halloween and the kids didn't get dressed up we just had name tags for them , so other kids on board would,nt feel left out
we put a closing date on it as well
it was good fun
I'm sure nearer the time she will let us know when to sign up
she hasn't been on the boards for a while , think things are busy with her
Hello Pam if you are reading this

Here's a picture from the local paper of the sinkhole I was telling y'all about!

Looks like they arrested someone for the fires, Amy. How are y'all doing down there?

Off to mow the yard....gonna suprise DH before he gets home from his meeting in Baltimore. I think it's finally dried enough!! We've got a bit of a jungle out there (over calf high!!) with all the rain we've had!!

That sink hole is HUGE:scared1:
Have fun mowing. I actually love to cut the grass hubby thinks I am strange. We have 3 acres and it takes a while. Not having any rain for almost 40 days the weeds, I mean grass , doesn't need to be cut.

Trick and Treating sounds like a lot of fun!

I booked our Limo from WDW to Port yesterday! We are arriving in style in a Cad. Escalade Limo!

Everyone here is really starting to look forward to the trip.

Think I've posted these photos before

As i continue to read your boards........EVEN THOUGH I LEAVE IN 2 WEEKS!!!!

Pam did do a great job, if she ever coems back around.

I ended up taking 4 large suitcases last year and 4 medium and 2 carryons, what with all the halloween costumes, TOT, FE, etc............

This time I am almost packed up and i only have 2 large suit cases i may fill one more large, and i have 1 medium and 1 carry on!

SO YES it does take alot more room fro all that stuff!

AND we decided not to take boots this year for PIRATE night, as we too are flying clear across the country....when you are flying it tends to maek you rethink the packing!

I think you guys have a great idea of splitting the rooms of some how with floors or days or whatever!

Suzie, those sinkholes are HUGE!!!! Man, I can't even imagine driving up and seeing that! How close is that to your house? You can come out and use our shower if that water pipe breaks! :)

We're not in the FE or the TOT, mostly because we just wanna relax and we don't have kids (except The Pirate, but the only TOT he wants has to do with scotch and cigars). But I think splitting into 2 groups makes sense. Remember, this is a vacation, it's supposed to be relaxing. DCL will also have TOT and lots of other activities planned; don't feel like you have to create your own. If planning and packing is too stressful, then listen to that and cut back some until you're back in your comfort zone.

So The Pirate has expanded the ManCave. Now he has a huge couch with duel recliners parked in front of a humungous HDTV. and he's campaigning for a beer tap in the wall. He doesn't even have to move. After 2 days, I finally moved the couch so his seat is under the laundry chute. Now when I want him to go do something, I drop underwear on his head. Never underestimate the nerve of a Wench scorned.

Today was our first day of sunshine since last fall! We went to a Scottish pub and actually sat outside. It was so great! Spring is finally here! And.... it's 163 days, 2 hours, 16 minutes, and 40 seconds until the CRUISE!

As the general consensus seems to be to split the FE exchange into 2 groups to make it more manageable and less stressful, I will try and split the group according to decks, although it will be nearer the time when everyone has their room numbers.

Deebs - to sign up just let me know your names, ages of any children and your cabin number if you have it! Thanks :goodvibes

Sue, the sinkhole is about 2 miles from our house. Thankfully, the pipe has held but I'll come anytime to your house! No excuse needed!!!!! When did you say the B&B opened????? LOL!

I'm still trying to convince DH about the FEE. I told him they most likely will split the list....jury is still out:confused3 He keeps telling me that he doesn't want me stressed.....awww....he does truly care about me and my vacations......

Ed so wants to see this ManCave! He said football season would be a good time to come check it out!!! Man, a beer tap in the wall.....what's wrong with the beer hat????? :lmao:

You have a laundry chute?! Well, I guess I do too. I just drop stuff over the railing to the stairs below!!! Usually gets whoever is on the stairs!! hee-hee!!! But to move the couch there....The Wench rules!!!!

Tori informed me that she likes these smilies....(looking over my shoulder while I was typing)...her favs were :hippie: :dance3: :cheer2: and the all favorite  ! So there you have it, cruisers, a 5-almost-6 year olds opinion.....whether you wanted it or not!!! :rotfl2:

I know I've asked before but I guess I don't really understand the plan for the FE.

I know what a Fish Extender is but does everyone bring some items for every family listed? Or does family get matched up with a few familes or just one family?

I think I need to try to make a chat so I can get in the loop!

does everyone know how to get into chat? it starts 2nite at 6!
PM me if you need help with chat.

You will more than likely be with a group of 12-15 other families (half the total number of participating families) and you can then bring a gift for each of their fish extenders - whether you choose to bring just for the kids or everyone in the family or just one gift per family is entirely up to you. it is supposed to be informal and fun so you just do as much or as little as appeals to you.:goodvibes

IT is REALLY easy to purcashe great items for this cruise.
As it is Halloween and what better time to give out candy!!!!!

Some of the great things we got last year..............

Were,
Suckers
Stickers
tatoos of pirates!!!!!!
candy
moon pies
litte debbie cakes
small bottle of alchohol
rubber ducky

you can look at party stores and get party faovrs in packages of like 6-8

For my cruise i am geting ready to go on.........HAVE TO SAY, i didnt have alot of time to prepare, so i went to BJs warehouse.........kind of like a costco, and bought a HUGE bag of assorted candy, and a large book of stickers (cut into small sections), and had soem left over tatoos from last years cruise, and i put them all in a party gift bag, tied with a lime green bow..............

WHAA LAAA, I have 20 really cool FE bags for the cost of $13!!!!
