We stayed offsite in 1996. DW wanted to do a vacation full of sun and fun. She suggested this place called WDW. I'd been, but just for a day, passing through the area. So, 1997, we go back for the Honeymoon, stay at BC. And the rest, as they say, is history...on campus (as we call it) is the way to go.

Hello everyone! For all you "Hoosiers" on the cruise - we live just west of Indy. For you "Boilermakers", we make it back to Lafayette for Women's Basketball games and some Men's B-ball and Football. I still say that Lafayette would be my town of choice in Indiana if it wasn't for that darn job location!

This will be our 5th DCL cruise, but the real biggie for the family. We will have 11 total. Me, DH, Mom, Dad, Sis, BIL, DH's Sis & BIL, DN7, DN7 & DN4. Whew!
I finally managed to nab a pair of adjoining Cat. 5 rooms, plus an adjecent and a cat. 11 across the hall. We will be in 7538, 7540, 7542 & 7541. This is our first time on the Starboard side of the ship, so we will really be screwed up. With two days at CC, I wanted the good view of the beach! Hopefully they still back in!

I'm excited already!

YAY!! WOODY!!

i'm thrilled to see you are cruising with us again!! now if we could get some of the other 11.11.2006 double dippers to get on board . . .

Hey previous double dippers!!!
How did you like it? CC is first and last day, right? I would think the first stop will be awesome. There always seems to be a little melancholy at CC because you know the next day is back to reality! Do they do anything special on the double dip? If I have my numbers right, we will be at CC on Halloween.

Hi everyone:wave2:
Four more cruisers signing in!! We are Helen, Andy & 2 DD's Rachel 17 & Bethany 14 (at time of cruise). We are from Somerset in the south of England, & this will be our first ever cruise. We are all having a real hard time trying to contain our excitment as it seems such a long way off yet, especially as we won't be taking a holiday at all this year :sad1: (in order to save up for this one!!!) Do you all arrange to meet up at some time onboard?
If so, count us in......we don't want to miss out on any of the fun pirate: !!!

HelenSB and family, welcome to the cruise!!

I know what you mean about not being able to contain the excitement for a year and a half. When Sean first books our trips (usually very far in advance) I don't allow myself to think about it until we get a little closer to the time of the vacation.

How are things over in the UK?

We are still cleaning up from a winter storm involving snow, sleet, freezing rain. The cleanup here in Pennsylvania has been less than stellar. The meteorologists warned us several days in advance, but yet the officials/roadcrews were "challenged" by the fact that this storm contained different forms of precipitation.

 Hey, I have an idea. How about plowing & treating the roads DURING the storm, rather than waiting till 8 hours after it ends????
Not here. PA is more reactive than proactive. :sad2: Oh well, off my soap box.

Everyone have a good weekend. We will spend ours chiseling ice.

Christine

Hi Christine,
You'll be pleased to hear that the 'officials' in the UK are even worse. If we have more than 4 inches of snow the whole country grinds to a halt !!! Schools/airports/rail services are all closed & we are advised not to venture out unless absolutely necessary. Just last week we were warned of a 'possible' snowstorm, so they immediately cancelled the local bus service. The next morning we awoke to glorious sunshine but, guess what, the bus service was still cancelled :confused3 . We cannot cope with anything more than rain here, but then we do get rather a lot of it !!
Anyway, here's looking forward to plenty of sunshine in Oct 08 :cool1: :cool1:

So this is where you guys are hiding. I had started a new thread and it was brought to my attention that you guys were over here. Thanks Shrpgrl. Joining the cruise will be my wife Heather, DS Cameron will be 8 at the time of the cruise, DD Heidi she'll be 6 by then, and then theres me I'm Mike. This is our 4th cruise with DCL and our 2nd double dip.
Here is our Trip Report for the 06 cruise.

We're from a small town just south of Joliet, Il called Elwood. Stop right there I see we have alot of Hoosiers in the house. I'll say this once and only once NO BEAR JOKES.
We've been calling this cruise.

CRUIS-A-PALOOZA II...HALLOWEEN on the HIGH SEAS !!!

615 days
14772 hours
886337 minutes
53180237 seconds
the days will fly bye
We're looking forward to getting to meet everyone.

Shrpgrl - We did a cruise to Alaska. It was beautiful. You're going to love it. We did a Whale watching/Glacier tour in Juneau so cool, and our other 2 stops were Sagway and Ketchican. You were wondering how to dress. In layers, if the sun is out its nice but if it windy or couldy it can get cool. Then theres the rain they get alot up there.

Wow bigben, Alaska sounds like fun. I am looking forward to that as well as going to WDW in May. After our Alaska cruise I will have to wait a whole year for the next trip. Not sure if I will make it. We are used to going to WDW at least 3 times a year. Hope I don't have any serious withdrawal issues. Glad you joined us.

I did not see a roll call list for this cruise. It would be great if someone who posted on page 1 (so people could find it) would edit his or her post to add one.

OK Woody, What's a roll and how do I call it? :confused3

Count us in! We booked on the wild January 31!

There will be two of us -suzanne (me) and DH.

And while it is so nice to have so many Indiana neighbors on this cruise I must say

GO BUCKS!!!!

Slinda- How'd that bcs game go for ya:rolleyes1 .............Just kidding.;)

OK Woody, What's a roll and how do I call it?
A roll call is a list of cruisers, starting with the first post. It makes it easier to keep track of fellow cruisers, and to find ones with something in common (such as children in the same age group). For example, the new people on this page so far could be listed as:

HelenSB (Somerset, UK) - Helen, Andy, DD Rachel 17, DD Bethany 14. (1st cruise)
bigben (Elwood, IL) - Mike, DW Heather, DS Cameron 8, DD Heidi 6. (4th cruise)
slindamood (Columbus, OH) - Suzanne, DH.

You could also add category, stateroom number, and special occasion, if provided.
