Half my secret is no longer a secret!!!!!!!!

WELP MY DS (15) now knows about the cruise.......................

We were in Wlamart this evening and i sent him off to get soem things thinking he would be gone for soem time and i went to purcahse material to start our costumes and i was tellign the lady that was cutting thematerial we were going on a Disney Cruise and iw as making Halloween costumes for the Cruise etc.

and i turn around and there is my son with a BIG GRIN on his face.

he said he knewalready and that he woudl not ell his sister.
In fact i said i will just tell Allie and he said no dont keep it a secret!

So we will see how this turns out!

having a really lovely time here
weather is OK cloudly today
DH is out cycling everyday doing between 80 - 100 miles per day , It is lovely been in a group as i'm getting to meet lots of people
it is a really differnet holiday , after been used to WDW where we do not sit
found it hard just doing nothing the 1st day but quite easily got in to the hang of it
heading home tomorrow the week has just gone so quicky

Our DD's birthdays are just days apart. My DD Genny will be turning 12 on October 25. So it makes me wonder if I can count the cruise as part of her birthday present? I'm so glad to see many girls about the same age.

I started reading this thread a little while back, and finally decided to say hello. My family and I will be joining you all on the Oct. double dip. This will be our 2nd disney cruise, but our 1st Halloween cruise. The kids are very excited. (Well, my husband and I are a little excited too!) We can't wait to see what disney has planned for Halloween.

Wow, I thought I had posted that we were going to be on this cruise months ago! I guess I just subscribed to the thread without posting .
ANYWAY.....It will be me (32), my wife Jennifer (31), our DD (8), DD (6), DS (5), DS (2), DS(?) (he's currently in the oven ), our babysitter (18), and her mother (she'd kill me if I guessed at her age ). We're real good friend with both our babysitter and her mom - they're more like family really.
This will be our 3rd cruise (we've did an Eastern Carrib last year and a Western Carrib before that). Our kids all know we're going - couldn't keep that secret for very long. It's kinda fun that everyone knows - we're debating on our costumes. I voted for the Incredibles, but my wife nixed that one (something about not wanting to see me in red spandex ).
So, how does the fish extender exchange work? Sounds like something my kids could really get into.

Oh, we will be celebrating the arrival of our new son (due date is May 28th), his first cruise, and the 25th is the 17th anniversary of asking my wife to be my girlfriend (we were high school sweethearts).

WOW! Welcome Newbies! So many! I've already screwed up on names and now I have to remember new ones! YIKES! Just kidding....

Okay, I have a really important question for all of you out there - especially with kids! This is super important but really has nothing to do with the cruise...sorry. BUT it is important!

Do you have a Wii? My dad got one for us as birthday and Christmas presents, etc. for the next two years (if he's even still around then...long story some of you know....). Anyway, I have a question about DDR. There is a "gimmick" (I think that's what it is!) that keeps coming up that I have NO idea what it is!!! It's a kind of diamond shaped red thing. Yes, I know. Really technical! But the darn thing keeps "BOO'ing me and I don't like it! The instruction book didn't really tell me anything so I'm BEGGING FOR HELP!!!

PLEASE HELP ME! Yes, I need psychiatric help.......medication may be required cause I'm driving myself crazy!!!

Jokes on you, Amy! I figured it out! It's the hand controller movement! You have to use the controller and nunchuck with the dance pad unless you have turned off the hand controller in options!!!!

See, us blondes CAN figure things out!!!! Well, okay, it took me three days BUT I DID IT!!!

Off to dance my bootie off! Well, at least a few ounces....BUT I;ll take what I can get!!! WHOOHOO!!

Hello everyone! A big welcome to the new families checking in! We have such a wonderful group here!


Just got in from 4 wonderful nights at Pop Century, playing in the parks, getting sunburned at Typhoon Lagoon, and getting a bounceback rate for a Labor Day weekend stay.

I may have to work tomorrow and Saturday as our NICU has had a baby explosion in census. I have my second LPN graduation Sunday ( might be my last as the school is being sold!) before starting a new position orientation for a local hospice place Monday morning.

Just typing that out makes me want to leave NOW on that cruise!

Welcome to our cruise thread!

Sonny D - how exciting to have a baby on the way! I hope all goes well for the end of pregnancy and birth!

The fish extender exchange goes like this: you make / buy a fish extender and hang it on the fish mail box outside your stateroom. Participants in the fish extender exchange then drop off small gifts into the fish extender during the cruise. The gifts can be anything - if you look on the cruise forum you will see plenty of posts about fish extenders - how to make them / where to buy them / what to put in them as gifts etc etc. The exchange will be very informal with prople just dropping off their gifts as and when they feel like it.

Please let me know if you wish to participate - I will need the names and ages of the participants (just adult if you are an adult will do) and the cabin numbers if you have them. I am compiling a list of participants which I will email to the participants just before we depart. if anyone has any cabin changes or upgrades they will need to let me know on the day we embark - at the DIS meet or via the phone - so that I can keep the list current.
