I got my license at 16 almost 17. Didnt really want to drive the stick shift but wanting to drive won that arguement.

I called DCL yesterday to ask about Grand Cayman, because our shore excursion is booked for 9:30, but it says we don't arrive until 11. After getting the generic answer of "9:30 is the meeting time, not the actual excursion time," I got the woman to see my point that 1.5 hours of waiting is probably unreasonable (and our excursion is supposed to end at 11:40, which would make it an incredibly short excursion). She checked her information, and it said that we arrive at 9:30, but that all-ashore is 11am, which was odd to her. She had a specialist call me back later, who gave me an answer that didn't make sense, but said she'd call me back before the cruise once she knows the actual time (either of our arrival or of our shore excursion being rescheduled). Well, she called me back today (wow!), and said that we are, indeed, arriving at 9:30am, and that the 11am thing is an error. She did not indicate if 9:30 is when everyone can get off, or if just those with early excursions can get off (I got the impression it is more likely the latter). She did indicate that they were unaware of the discrepancy, so perhaps we will see an update made?

Anyway, I thought I would share in case anyone else was wondering about the timing discrepancy, since they were booking excursions so early.

I wanted to let you know I was dealing with the same thing - except I hate the phone so there have been emails back and forth but still nothing makes sense to me - our grand cayman excursion time (island / butterfly tour) is scheduled at 10 am and the only answer i got was that was when we were to meet the group

Yes, yesterday was Madison's birthday as well. We took her out for dinner last night and having a party with friends and family this weekend. W we will party all weekend too.

That's okay that you didn't remember. We can definately celebrate on the ship too!

Today is my DH's 30th b-day. He is worse then a little kid! All night he was telling everyone it was his birthday eve!!! He is driving me nuts with this. I've never seen someone so happy to be 30!!!!

well we have added an extra night to our holidays sort of
instead of traveling during the night to the Airport which is a 4-5 hour drive we are going up the night before
someone was telling DH about it last night ( now I've been saying this for years ) so he just mention it at breakfast and as quick as he could blink I was on the phone booking it

That means only 5 days to go

Tomorrow, we celebrate our 11th anniversary (on the 11th). Chris got us ressies at a restaurant we like for Saturday evening. I'm 2nd shift tonight, and am on the 2nd load of laundry today. Max wanted to trot for a bit of his walk today, so we all got some extra cardio. Next up for me: pick a suit. Must go check 2007 photos, as I don't want to bring the same one. Need travel size items this weekend, and more prep work. Oh, and the lawn just grew again. Goal is to have all items laid out before next weekend, when will pack everything.

Since birthdays are a big thing in our house, it leads me to the QOTD:

What is the best birthday party you had and when was it?

I remember my mom learning how to make a doll cake (cake that looks like a poofy skirt portion of a dress for a doll that is shoved in the middle of it) when I was 4. It was also the year of my Weebles....remember those...Weebles wobble but they don't fall down... It was also the year that my mom's friend made me....gasp!...a two piece yellow bathing suit....it was more like a pair of shorts and a halter top but I LOVED IT!!! I had such a great time. That was my favorite party.

I had WAy too many great parties as a kid, mom always made sure of that, love you mom! But i guess one of my most recent favorites was my 30th, todd had actually managed to throw me a surprise party, had over 75 people, in my house! got the laptop i wanted too! yay! he even managed to order a #30 shaped cake all on his own! He's such a good boy, love you tata!

The Halloween Logo original size, the "cheat sheet" for the cruise, and the Trick or Treat sheet for the parents and volunteers along with other info (this is where you can see where you volunteered and need to be.) I couldn't get the FE Cabin map on there so if you want it, let me know. I can email or just print up the final and deliver on the ship. Your choice, just let me know.

So, I was touched that with all that my sister had going on, she took the time to plan a brunch for me!
