we're flying into orlando the morning (arriving around 9:30 am) after the wedding from charlotte on oct. 23. i'm hoping our flight isn't delayed or cancelled. nervous.

We leave tommorrow morning for Orlando and I am so nervous that it will rain for out whole vacation But at least welll all be together Yeah, 5 of us holed up in a hotel sounds like fun Well hopefully we'll see you all Sunday.

Eileen and everyone else leaving tomorrow- have a safe and "sane" trip . Have faith - we WILL all see each other on Sunday afternoon.

I propose that if the weather is to nasty to be outside on the deck 7 verandah, we try meeting at the same time (3:00pm) at the Prominade lounge - from what I've read, that spot is/should be family friendly.

It seems Admiral Boom is having some technical difficulties, so He e-mailed me and asked that I post the following:

3boysmomma: Yes - You have to fill out the Nassau form. No exceptions. Best to call DCL on the issue with
your kids in your parents' cabin. I don't believe you will have a problem but better safe than sorry.

Fantasmiclush: Welcome! Are you playing tag?

Keef22: Your concerns are valid ones, however I don't believe we have anything to really worry about. This
is precisely why, though, you should fly in early (where possible)! In the past DCL has done a "cruise to
nowhere" where every day is a day at sea. I can't remember if they offered any compensation on this,
however looking at Monday's schedule for Nassau and Tuesday's schedule for the Abacao Islands (castaway cay)
it looks to be sunny and partly cloudy! I would honestly say the worst thing that would happen is that we
would leave later than planned. Sofar they still think the storm is going to run south of port (by about
3.5 hour drive) through Ft. Laud/Miami area so I'm guessing we'll just have rain. However, to cut over to
Nassau, I dunno. So, we may be delayed, the captain may opt to do day 1 as a day at sea, then nassau, then
cc, then back to PC. Time will tell. I am 99.9% sure that they will NOT scrub the trip though. As my
travel agent says, the best place to be in a hurricane is a cruise ship - you just sail away from it.

Henlady: Yep. Promenade sounds good, however it will be a little busier. No worries though!!

Thanks Kris for forwarding the post from the Admiral. I was beginning to think he was oot again. Really like your calm, planned out thinking right now Admiral and hope you are correct. My only concern is the outer bands of the hurricane and winds keeping them from docking at PC Sunday morn. I really do not want another 3 day cruise. Just not engh time.

We will all know more in a day or two. Happy and safe travels to all going down early.

Hi Everyone! I must say I feel as though I've had the wind knocked out of my sails because of Wilma. I'm trying to keep my head up and my fingers crossed. We leave early am tomorrow for Disney World. Hope to see everyone and have a good laugh over our Wilma "scare"! Cathy

Well, AMTRAK just called and informed us that all trains to Florida on Friday/Saturday have been cancelled. So instead of sitting back and relaxing in our roomette on the AutoTrain, we are now driving 18 hours. I AM NOT HAPPY. Anyway hopefully see you all on Sunday.

Sorry to hear you have to make that drive now. That will surely make you all more tired when you arrive. Are you leaving Friday? Be sure to take the toll free number with you to call DCL and find out if there are changes to the port and or time. I found this note taken in part out of the Hurr Wilma now Cat 5 thread:

Our friends will be on the Sunday Wonder, and DCL even told them TODAY that depending where the hurricane heads, their departure could be diverted to the port in Tampa.

See you Sunday.........providing we get our flight in on Saturday.

Well we are packed and ready to go, I think,LOL. Our flight leaves first thing in the moring, so this will be my last post till we meet. Sorry about your train ride, hate to say but that sucks. DW is scared to death, I told her she was with me and God so it was well under control and not to worry.

Thought of the day: Only worry about something you can control (hint: nothing), let God handle everything else.

I'm still here, too. We're still leaving early Saturday morning to start our drive down. I haven't started packing yet, but keep thinking about packing . Now that the Cards are out of the playoffs, I won't have a ball game to watch tonight. So plenty of time to pack!

See everyone there! My DD3 is so excited. She now says she's going on the "Cinderella" Boat, not the Mickey Boat.

DH came home from business trip last night and I gave him the status report. Did not worry him while gone. His comment, besides 'not again', "I don't want to deal with deciding what to use those DVC points on they give us back again" (This of course only if we are delayed a day. NOT going to happen!) Keeping a positive attitude. If we at least get a day at CC this time, it will be a better trip than last year.

Sam'sMom: If I did not at least have most of the clothes and accessories out ready to pack, I would be a basketcase by now. More power to ya.
Sorry about your Cards. Though we are only 45min from Chicago, I am not following the series. Cubs fan here and many White Sox fans are nasty, esp towards Cubs fans.

My DD5.5 thinks this is more about the princesses too. Besides, Mickey is a boy and she does not like most boys. Minnie is fine.

I got the suitcases out a while back, just haven't put anything in them. Tonight for sure. We travel by car/van a lot all summer long and I pack for the three of us for a weekend in about 25 minutes. This is going to take longer, but I'm guessing less than 24 hours, I hope!

Hopefully we can get our "princesses" together. Although DD3 is only 3, she loves to play with the older girls. Her closest cousin is 5 and a half, and they get along great!

Hi everyone! Just got back to work from picking up the travelers checks. I am adjusting to my "new" travel status. I still am not happy with it, but oh well, we're still going. Yes things do keep looking better for getting out on Sunday - hopefully Disney feels the same way. I was telling the lady at AAA about our dilema while signing the Trav. cks, and she was not understanding at all. Stated "they probably won't sail so you better keep checking."(hurumph) I am not fond of negative people. Disney called my home this morning to make sure they had my cel phone number so they could get in touch with us in case of changes. I had already called yesterday and had it put on my records. Oh well. Have everything ready to pack, just gotta throw it in the suitcases and throw them into the car. We're off at 8:00 am tomorrow morning, hoping to still be able to stay over in Cocoa Beach on Saturday night. I have Shirleys (The perfect Gift) phone number, so I'll check in with her to see how things are going in Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area. You all have a safe trip and we WILL see you on the ship on Sunday - 3:00.

call us crazy, but we are in SW florida and usually we are called to evacuate for anything Category 2 storm or more, so we decided to leave for the Boardwalk on Fri-Sat and then the Wonder on Sunday. I got the "secret porthole" room 5520!!! It will be me, divorced mom with 3 of my kids boy 9, boy 5, girl almost 3 in November.

Hope to have a great time on the cruise and at the park. The kids are excited!

Welcome Christine and kids. Well, this sure is one one to stay out of harms way. And the secret porthole at the last minute too.
Some of the posters here are already down for land part of vacation before the cruise. The rest of us leave Sat morn. If you get a chance we are all meeting at 3P on the secret verandah Deck 7.

The SPR used to be our room until we gave it up! We're now in the secret verandah room 7620!!

DW and I arrived at the Port this morning and things are overcast here.

Here's a picture of the Disney Magic that we drove by about 20 minutes ago.

See everyone tomorrow @ deck 7 secret verandah @ 3pm or Promenade Lounge if it rains.

We're going to grills for dinner tonight at around 4pm to see the Magic off and we'll be at the port first thing in the morning. We'll both we wearing red baseball caps. I also forgot to print the damned room list off so I wrote everyone's rooms on the back of the DISTag sign. It's crooked, but hey,it works.
