On the western cruise we will switch from Eastern time to Central when we're headed to Cozumel. Central time is one hour behind Eastern.

I think we switch back to Eastern before getting to Castaway Cay, since that's part of the Bahamas.

You'll have a reminder in your stateroom on the evening that you need to reset your clocks / watches / phones etc...

Thanks Brenda:thumbsup2 - the worst that can happen is I turn up to dine 1 hour too early, (I'll just sneek in and eat all the cheesecake;) before anyone else gets there):rolleyes1

So who is getting excited about next years cruise releases? Apparantly its being announced today - we wont be on it but good luck to all who want a good deal:cool1:

As nice as it sounds to do a 14-night cruise on the Magic, especially through the Panama Canal, that's too rich for my blood.

I wish they'd look into alternative Caribbean ports of call - I think heading down to Belize or Curaco would be awesome.

Or why not cruise to Bermuda? People could get some extra days at sea and the dock somewhere for a couple of days to really explore the island.

Oh well....I've got my sights on Hawaii next year (maybe...;) )

I've heard really good things about Antigua - would love to get there some day, too.

I'd like to get to Barbados, too... you'll have to let us know what it's like after your bash next year!

You guys wanna hear something funny?

As part of my Christmas gift, Jason gave me a pedometer so that I could start keeping track of the number of steps I take each day and how many calories I'm burning.

I've been slipping it into my pants pocket before I leave for work, but I'm not used to carrying anything in my pockets so by the time I get home I usually forget it's there and throw my pants into the laundry baskets and move on with life - until I remember that I forgot to take it out and reset it for the next day.

Well, last Friday I started my laundry early and while Jason and I were eating dinner I suddenly said, "Oh crap!"

He looked understandably confused as I left the table without another word and disappeared into the laundry room, only to return a moment later with a thoroughly drenched pedometer.

Before it completely gave up the ghost (it was digital) it showed that I burned more than 1,000 calories in the washing machine! :lmao:

Jason has ordered me a new one (luckily they aren't very expensive) but has warned me to stop randomly destroying equipment that has been designed to help us both get into better shape.

I'm such a dummy sometimes! :rotfl2:

Hey - great idea!:thumbsup2 - clocking up steps without actually doing them:cool1: , I'm wondering now what electrical gadgets I have in the house that would make my pedometer tick over with no actual effort involved:lmao: - food mixer maybe:confused3 - pity I cant attach it to my mouth - that goes at a hundred miles an hour:rotfl2:

AFEG - $$ at 1.97! - sounding good - have you paid off your cruise yet? Might be a good time to pay off a chunk. I still havent done it yet - being a greedy girlie before xmas I waited and waited and then it went down:sad2: ...its back on the up now..still waiting:rolleyes1 I want $2 to the £ - told you I was greedy!:rotfl:

Another "dah" moment for Nancy... :confused3
Nancy, repeat after me, "I am going on a WESTERN itinerary, not an Eastern."

Sorry for the misinformation about the time settings.

Yes Karen paid the lot :scared1: it's only when she gave me the total amount that i felt a little on the faint side....:rotfl2: Paid the flights too (had to pay in full because we were flight only,i didn't realise this:sad2: )so now we only need a hotel for five nights from the Monday to the saturday (idea's welcome) and the passes for the "other" park, seaworld and bush garden and then were done,as we've still got 3 days left on are Disney passes from the last time....

The $1.97 is not what you'd get Karen, whatever you see in the papers or on bloomberg knock off about 7 cents and you won't be far out on what you'd really get for your £...

"Before it completely gave up the ghost (it was digital) it showed that I burned more than 1,000 calories in the washing machine!"...:lmao:

I think my only hope of losing 50 pounds i need to lose before we cruise is amputation so it's either the right leg or the left.....

Brenda loved Antigua and a very nice place to tour round...:)

Wow Chris you are on the ball:thumbsup2

We have only paid a deposit for the cruise and virgin so far:rolleyes1

I keep meaning to start my itinary so I can figure out which park passes I want etc but I keep putting it off. I might have a look at the illuminations or wishes cruise too - its had great reviews. We'll definately be doing the MNSSHP so thats something else I have on my "to do" list.

I'm either on here, on the Dibb (Do you Dibb too?) or at the gym:confused3

I have our Aug hol to think about too - geez - theres not enough hours in a day is there:rotfl:

Remember how I told you all that DS is getting married in May of 08? Well now it looks like DD will follow close behind. Although we don't have to pay for DS's wedding (we will chip in a good chunk of change though) I believe we will have to pay for DD's wedding. Traditionally the parents of the bride still pay, right? Hopefully, one of you can tell me that has all changed and now the brides parents don't have to pay anymore.

At least no date has been set for her nor is there an engagement yet. I do know that he put a down payment on the ring last weekend.

So I guess you all know who WON'T be booking another cruise while onboard this year. Powerball lottery is quite high for tonight, maybe I'll buy myself a few numbers and hope for the best.

Exact time in Wisconsin is 1:05. Cozumel is 12:05. JUST PRACTICING!;)

Our parents each gave us a big chunk and we saved the rest. Mind you we did it a bit differently anyway - a month in Florida - just the 2 of us:love: and then a wedding/xmas party when we got back.

Good luck on the lottery:rotfl:

We did both of these on the 11 day last September. Antigua was lovely, but Barbados very commercial.

Love to do Antigua again.

Heather

Congrats Nancy and Nancy's offspring! :thumbsup2

My parents did not foot the entire bill - they gave me a check right after Jason and I got engaged and said, "if you want to spend more than that the rest is up to you guys."

Fair enough - we were both working. I think when all was said and done Jason and I picked up about 70% of the total cost. His parents were nice enough to pay for our rehearsal dinner - that was a pleasant surprise - and my mom paid for my wedding dress.

Ahh, weddings...

Thanks for heads up on Antigua - I think I'll be doing some research soon! ;)

Nancy...aren't you in the Central time zone in Wisconsin? :confused3

I ask because Cozumel is also in the Central time zone...so it should be the same time in both places. Are you trying to confuse me???

Ok, I'm so done with this subject!! :lmao: I'm looking pretty dumb right about now. Guess I should just keep my mouth shut (or my fingers quiet). :scared1:

We know not to ask Nancy for the time on this cruise, don't we? ;)

Just chalk it up to the cold weather, Nancy! And look at it like this...at least you didn't put your exercise bike in the washing machine. :lmao:

Another gentle bump from the UK.:)

Its handy having everyone on this thread from different places, we can bump 24 hrs !!!!!........ whoops now that sounds kind of naughty....:lmao: :lmao:
