And happy anniversary to everyone celebrating this month - I think that would be three couples... Jo and Danny, Cass & Rob, and Dyerneeds...sorry not sure about names there yet!

Brenda, happy B-Day.

Our Anniversary was at the beginning of the month (2nd). Looks like people like to get married in the all.

Glad you got what you wanted. I've mentioned before that when the 90 day mark comes around for us, I'll be sleeping at 2:00 am. Believe it or not, we didn't care for Palo so we won't need ressies for that. What will you guys be doing in Grand Cayman?

Geeez Jeff, I can't imagine you and your family cancelling the Oct 20th cruise. Any word on if it's a definite "go"? You've become such a great member of the Konked Kruisers....we need you! :yay: Are you using a travel agent for your cruise? We nailed another $150.00 credit (on top of the $200.00 from rebooking on board last year) from AAA. Our TA is amazing. Let me know if you are interested in transferring your cruise to her. I'll email her to find out when they are offering more specials. :dance3:

Nancy,

We are only doing Brunch at Palo. DW and I are going to pass on dinner this time. It seems to be the same thing as every other time. Brunch is the same always, but we really like it. On the other 7 nighters we've been on, we went to Palo for dinner on the night of the Master Chef menu (don't care for that one). This will be on the Grand Cayman night on the Western. We will probably try the sit down dining at Topsiders that night.

As for the excursion on GC, we went for the Stingray City tour. We decided to go with DCL's excursion because it goes at 7:30. We want to have as much time on the beach in the afternoon for DS and this tour ends at 11:00. Not sure how quickly we would get off on the tenders if we weren't doing an excursion and therefore would probably book a 10:30 excursion if we went with a local tour operator. That would get us back in the early afternoon, eating in to DS beach time. After we are there once and get a lay of the land, we will probably use a local tour operator next time. Again, it would depend on how early we could get on a tour.

As for next October's cruise, I still talk to DW as if we're going (saying things such as "when we go next October....."). I think we'll have to wait until after the January Western to see if DW wants to go on another Western exactly 9 months after we get off one. I think it will be weird not going with all of you after messaging with you guys for over 18 months at that time.

We did transfer out to AAA for January. We went through the office in Waukesha. Tracy is the agent we talked to when we called. We got the $150 room credit in addition to the $200 rebooking on DCL. So we started out with $350 before anything we put in. Not bad.

I will be transferring next October once I know we are going. They have that cancellation penaly if we don't go, so I want to be 100% sure before moving it.

Jeff

thanks for the anniv wishes. its mike and robin. 31 years on the 18th. we should be on the whos going page by now as robin sent a picture so you guys can see how i married way out of my league!! i always tell her that.

I'm not too late! Happy Birthday Brenda... you deserve a birthday cake, so what if you have to eat cake all week!

Nancy, you have it right about the budget car process, except like Brenda said, you and Chuck will need to check in together. But you can go on up and look at the ship model while waiting on him :)
On last years rental... is it possible that they charged you insurance and prepaid gas and all those other ridiculous fees at the rental car place?
By the time you add all that in, it would probably be that much. Sorry you had such an overcharge.

Happy Anniversary to Cass and Rob!

I hope I haven't missed anyones big day.

Happy Anniversary to Jeff and DH( c'mon...Jeff, you gotta tell us her name)

Nancy,

Are you sure you didn't come to my wedding? The DJ announced us as Jeff and Steve. (Seriously. And he was really good friends with my DW at the time.) Now you wish me a happy anniversary to me and my DH? :rotfl2:

Maybe we should just call her Steve. I can see it now, everyone coming up to her and calling her that on the boat.

I'm going to need to change my location to San Francisco I think. Either that or I will have to move to So. MD where Tina lives with her multiple husbands. :rotfl:

Oh sure, go back and edit the post to make me look foolish now.

Just for that you're now going to have to wait a little longer for her name. :snooty:

Maybe I'll go down with "Steve" and come back with "???". Ooops, almost let that one out. You'll just have to wait until I get back to see who accompanied me to FL.

Now if they only had a smiley like the "furious" one that goes from smiling to exploding, but in this case transforms from a "boy Mickey" to a "girl Mickey".

thanks for the anniv wishes. heres my plan for robin wednesday. since i work 3rd shift and she works days, im home all day so i thought id make her dinner. we bought a collection of disney cruise menus on ebay a while back so i could set those out. also bought one of those server vests from animators palate so i could wear that to serve her. as a table centerpiece i could use our wdcc captain mickey that we got on the cruise.
that way i can recreate the cruise experience. of course the only thing i could make her would be chicken strips or a burger but hey, those are some of the greatest foods ever!!
we would love to renew vows on the cruise. any one have an idea what it costs?
timon... we thought of rob on our trip to wdw last month. the studios had a 2 ft mickey resin statue with mickey dressed as a jedi with light sabre and all. it was pretty cool. i think it was $175

Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes!

There was much baseball sadness in St. Louis today, so much so that the heavens opened up and wept all day and now the game has been postponed until tomorrow night.

They wouldn't dare lose on my birthday...would they? :teeth:

I'm outta here - trying to brave the waterlogged traffic to get home tonight will be a test of my patience (and I don't really have any to begin with ;) ).

See ya later.

B. :goodvibes

Hi Karen,

Berlin is huge isn't it? I was there twice but long ago. I have a piece of the Berlin Wall in my dresser drawer along with the kids teeth, first pony-tails, and first baby blankets. What a useless drawer, huh? I don't know what I want all that stuff for anymore. :confused3

I will absolutely want to see pictures, but wait until next week when 1/2 of our DISers will be at WDW. We'll need something to occupy our time. popcorn::

:wave2: Nancy

Just think folks...next year at this time we'll be talking about our first DISmeet, what to pack, and what excursions we are doing. Just so we don't talk about missing "Hurricane -------"! :furious:

I'm sure Chuck and I will be fasting to make room for the Cove Cafe and the 10 pounds of bacon that Chuck will consume at Topsiders. :rotfl:

Viva le Mochaccino!!!

I wish I was drinking one right now. :teeth:

Hi Nancy

I have a drawer just like that! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I wonder if every home has one :confused3 :rotfl:

Full of stuff that you cant possibly throw away but cant use, need, display etc. My Mom kept my baby teeth in a tiny copper ornamental teapot :confused3 . Must be a "Mom" thing. I'm still waiting for Ellis' first to fall out - wonder where I'll keep it :rotfl2: - in that drawer I guess!

I'll get some photos onto Photobucket during the next week and transfer them to here. - I'm not the quickest at computer stuff so dont hold your breath!

This time next year I'll be half way through my week at WDW and squeeking with excitement about the cruise. I will be dieting from christmas onwards (badly - I have no willpower!) in the hope of losing a few pounds before the "big event of 2007".

I cant even think of hurricanes - we were in wdw once when they shut the parks etc, but it diverted overnight and hardly any damage was done. Just pray it doesnt happen and hope they dont change us to an Eastern.

bye for now folks
