October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

I'm stuck what to get some friends of ours for christmas..any ideas?

I have done the usual photograph frame, albums of their son, nice smellies, wine, etc

Any ideas? I also know they are tight on money so I'm wondering if practical might be more useful, but if so, what?:confused3 and would you think Gee, thanks:rolleyes: " if you were given something practical?

I have some lovely things for their little boy but I'm totally stuck on what to get them.

And before anyone suggests it - I dont think they're the sort of couple to appreciate me adopting a goat on their behalf for a village in some poor country as a great gift either:lmao: - I think they'd rather eat it:rolleyes1

I'm billy no mates tonight:sad1:

Neil is "working" all weekend miles away... - yeah right - by now he'll be in the pub with a load of his workmates or on the way to the curry house, followed by a lovely hotel for the night:rolleyes:

I was at a kids party for 3 1/2 hours this morning, followed by housework and errands and junk from the freezer for dinner:rolleyes: - lifes a b*tch.:lmao: :lmao:

Guess what I'm listening to?

The castaway cay cd from distag! - I love it!:dance3:

My favourite tracks are "serenity bay" - I could listen to that all day long - its soooo relaxing :beach: and "day at sea daydream" - just too catchy - i have to have a chair boogie when that track comes on:dance3:

Thank you Mike and Robin:hug:

Is anyone out there:confused3 ..........I really am billy no mates tonight....I guess you all have lives on a saturday night....oh well, I'll just boogie on my own then.:dance3:

Next cd is Nancys:thumbsup2 - its five o clock somewhere - a "sing as loud as you can" song...is anyone else like that? - some songsjust have to be sung as loud (and as out of tune) as possible:lmao:

and of course "Maragritaville - my favourite track of the moment - heard it in Key West and cant stop playing it now

Just checked my buddy list - no-ones lights on....theres not even anyone lurking:confused3

Ok,....a party for one it is then:cool1:

I have red wine and chocolate - I'm happy:banana:

I wonder what my neighbours think:lmao:

I have "Margaritaville" on repeat at the moment and I'm wailing (singing) at the top of my voice:lmao: .....nice!

I'm now listening to Lori's Disney favourites - track 10 always makes me cry :sad1: - "circle of life" - I love it.

Ellis and I are looking at our big cruise album - I wanna go back now:sad:

and I love track 13 - you'll be in my heart - love that one too

Paiges cd next:thumbsup2 - I'm having a KK party:dance3:

Paige - Neil is convinced he recognises one of the singers on there from a cd we bought when we were in New Orleans - Mitchell someone and the somethings:rolleyes1 - ok...thats not the actual bands name, but I cant remember what he said, but its something like that:lmao: - he plays it in his jeep all the time. We've never seen a nother album since of theirs? - any ideas who I mean:confused3 - I know its a real long shot:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Its track 3 on your cd - can you please tell me the name on the band?

Bad news....I don't have a copy of the CD for myself. :upsidedow I didn't save the list either. If you know the title of the song, I will definitely be able to find the artist. I have the original CDs from which I made that "mixed CD"......so sorry Karen.:flower3:

Would it be too tacky to do a romance basket, with wine, lotions, nice candles, and maybe a gift certificate to a restaurant they like, and then add a little certificate of your own to babysit the little one for one night?

Mornin Mike. Scott is at work so once again I get to see what's happenin here.

How about this: You guys babysit for them and give them a gift certificate for a meal at a restaurant. They can enjoy a nice dinner while you watch their kids.

OR: Rather than the restaurant thing, buy one of those microwave popcorn buckets, stuff it with soda bottles, candy and either a good dvd (like National Lampoons "Christmas Vacation") or a couple of movie passes.

Hope this helps Karen.
