October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Just realize you have a few more friends now to help you hold that chin up. Stay strong, tell Scott I'm sending a bunch of positive thoughts along with a bit of pixie dust. Wish I could do more.

From this cruise we have realized how much we need to depend on friends. We don't have very many to start with.

We lost the ones we did have when we went through our court battle in 2004. So Scott and I have pretty much stayed to ourselves. But before this cruise we realized that all of you really do care and it means alot to us. Then to meet up with everyone made it all the more special.

Thank you to everyone for supporting us and as Becky puts it holding our chin up.

my goal right now is to plan DL as cheaply as possible and still have a good time.

We have planned on going for 5 days at the park just so we could take our time and relax. But now we were thinking of making it say 4 and then a day at the beach. Or if there is no price difference then doing 4 1/2 days at the park and 1/2 day at the beach.

It is just the three of us, I would like to get a room that has a fridge and micro (I think I might be able to do without the mirco. But I can save us money by having breakfast and lunch in the room and then only having to eat dinner out.

I think you are going during the slow time right? If so the hours will be shorter so what you maybe able to do is a breakfast, bring snacks into the park, then do a late lunch/early dinner.

How do I find out what the slow season is. We are going the first week in June. And how do I find out what the hours for the park are. I know that the It's A Small World ride will be closed which is kind of disappointing.

I'm off for the night.

Catch you all probably Sunday... Our dd is coming home for a surprise party for her brother. It'll be good to see her. She'll be leaving for home Sunday afternoon.

I don't know why I thought you were going in Feb.. I checked last years hours and they were open from 9am til 10pm

Have a great time with the kids Robin. Tell Mike, Sean and Becky said Hi.

Those hours would be nice. Then I am not rushed in the morning.

Breafast is hard for me to figure out. Scott really does not eat breakfast unless we go out for it.

So it is up to Mac and I.

She can do dry cereal out of a bag so she is pretty easy, that and poptarts not toasted. We just have to make sure we have juice, which is why we need the fridge.

As for me, I am a little more picky. I can do cereal, but I need milk (again the fridge), I could do poptarts, I can do oatmeal using the coffee maker to make the hot water.

Hey I guess breakfast was not so hard after all. Very simple at that.

Can someone explain the magical moments to me. Mac got one on the ship for going down the water slide. They delivered a certificate to our room.

Well, we'll be bringing Thomas, but, we didn't see him on this last cruise hardly at all, so, I'm hoping for a repeat experience!

Ditto!

I only have 3 more items to buy for x-mas. I hope to be done this weekend.

Holy cow! - I only have about 5 prezzies:eek:

Thought I would post this here too....for my fellow KKers! :woohoo:

Hi guys :wave2:

Ok, so I haven't started my summary yet BUT I just finished uploading Part 1 of my vacation video. Since I didn't take a whole lot of video, I filled in the blanks with some still photos.

Part 2 won't be done for at LEAST a week, maybe longer.

You will need Windows Media Player to watch it and it's a very large file (about 100MB) so don't be trying to watch it if you are on dial-up

Hope you like it! It's about 11 minutes long.

its great!!! how did i not see that all week?:confused3
methinks planky was leading another secret life.

It was borrowed from Cheryl - she ahould be able to tell you where it was from

I'm a Karen and Brenda groupie!:goodvibes

I've never had a groupie before:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I totally understand how you feel on this. We are working on the same things as you, and we will also be doing the same if you go on the cruise with getting an inside cabin, and it will be a budget cruise. But as hard as we all work we deserve a little break if we can do it.

We had an inside cat 11 this time and honestly it was absolutely fine. I did worry about the size and the lack of light, but it was lovely and bright withte lights on and we used to tune the tv to the "window" channel - the camera at the front of the ship and pretend:lmao:

I would definately have an inside again. I liked the layout too - the bed was at the far end so you didnt have to walk past it to get to the sofa etc. We had the low table removed and it gave us more room, plus we were hardly ever in there anyway.

Here's a suggestion...

Because Steve had the first post on this thread and brought us all together, I think it only fitting that he start our reunion cruise thread when we're ready.

What do ya say Steve? :goodvibes :)

Great Idea!
