Ok, time for random posts....need something to read!

I'm also suffering from vacation-induced ADD!

How many suitcases is everyone taking?

I have it down to:

To check:
1 - 29" wheeled suitcase
1 - 24" wheeled suitcase (it's expandable, but right now it's NOT expanded! :thumbsup2 )
1 - wheeled garment bag

Carry on:
1 - 21" wheeled suitcase (which, if they try to make me check it, I will let the flight attendants know it will be all their fault if my kid is unhappy - all the snacks are in that case! :lmao: )
1 - very small wheeled suitcase - Thomas's CARS suitcase:)
1 - backpack
1 - portable DVD player

What do you think?

I sent Scott up to measure our suitcases :rotfl:

Checked Luggage
1- garment bag (still not packed)
2 - 29 inch wheeled (completely full, 49.8 pounds, and 49 pounds)
1 - 23 inch wheeled

Carry on
2- overnight bags (one for Kelsey one for Kyle, These contain snacks, things for them do do, swim suites, and homework.)
1 - small suitcase on wheels (Macs princess one)
1 - backpack
1 -camera bag 10 x 16

I think that is it for the 5 of us. According to my mom they have 2 checked suitcase (nowhere near the size of ours) and 2 carry on

Jen

Welcome to the club. I have been that way for months now. So how many times have you packed and unpacked the suitcase?

Actually, I've only packed and unpacked the garment bag (I hung everything back up after I made sure it all fit). But I have every suitcase I own in the spare room - trying to decide which ones to pack. Then I went and bought a new one instead (the 24 incher).

I've been trying to figure out how many suitcases to bring. I think that I can do it in 5 but may do 6 just to allow room to bring stuff back. Dang it! I've got too much stuff!

If you're packing it all in 3 checked bags, you're doing better than I!

Yep, 3 checked bags - and I still have a bit of room in the carry - ons....

Oh, I forgot to add...in the bottom of the 29 inch suitcase, I have a duffel bag (empty) to bring stuff back in, plus the 24 inch suitcase has not been expanded yet - so I have room to bring stuff back! When we went to WDW I had to buy 2 bags for souvenirs - I had packed out suitcases to the brim and did not think about leaving room for souvenirs!

Not bad for 5 people!

I'm so proud...my 29" suitcase is only 41 pounds! The garment bag is 32 pounds, and I haven't weighed the 24" yet, not done packing it :)

At least they beat the PACKERS! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hehe...had to get my own digs in...

Who are the Bears?

just kidding, at least you have had a winning team. I try not to buy into the whole "Cardinal's will be good this season" thing. But they show more promis now than in the past. Maybe the new stadium did help.

Oh, good...my FIL (who flew on a different airline, he can't even remember which one) said he and MIL tried to take only carry-ons to Mexico and they said they were too big. He's trying to convince me they'll never let me take it on, even though the total dims of my case are 46 inches and the allowance is 55 inches. ARRHHGGG!!!! Don't stress me out like this - I don't really need MORE to worry about!

We have done 21" wheeled carry-on with AirTran, Midwest, and NWA. I can't remember when we flew with American if we took 21's. I thought we did.

I remember NWA from LAX to MKE, when we were going through security with them they asked where we were flying. We told them and they said it wasn't going to fit. I told them, it was the same A320 we took here, and the overhead bins were big enough. We had no problems.

I think it will depend on the aircraft you have. AT had bigger bins put in on their 717. Midwest will have smaller bins.

:scared1: Chuck and I have 7 bags!! :scared1:

One C-Pap (Freebie cuz it's medical)
One BIG purse (Freebie cuz it's my purse)
2 Carryons- (One with clothes cuz I'm paranoid and one with Meds, Cameras, and 1/2 the Tag Gifts)
1 HUGE Mamajama suitcase with clothes and shoes (topping the scale at 49#)
1 Garment Bag suitcase with formal wear and Pirate clothes
1 other suitcase with JUNK!! (More DIStag gifts, toiletries, Snorkel equip for 3 of us) weighing in at 40#'s.

We will be checking the 2nd carryon with clothes when we get to the terminal so if you see my family at dinner with shorts and KK T-shirts, you'll know that last carryon got lost. Luckily, we have late dining so we should have our luggage by then anyway.

Now hopefully the Junk suitcase will be quite empty on the way home considering your tag gifts are nice and small. Since the kids will be with us, we won't need to buy many souveniers.

Hmmmm, me thinks we may have to re-organize AGAIN!! That's way too many bags for 2 people.

When I first read Mamajama, I read it as Marijuana for some reason. :scared1: :lmao:

Who are the 3 of you? :confused3

If you show up to dinner with shorts and t-shirts, we'll just call you Kevin. :lmao: That was the a-holes name wasn't it?

Wow Heather. That does sound a little lousy. I'm glad that you did get a few :) 's for the other cruises then.

Not to worry, we'll have plenty of :) :) :) on this cruise too.

It's Disney...so no worries.

Wow Nancy...thats a lota luggage.

We have two large suitcases (size?), one garment bag, still to be packed, one wheeled backpack with meds and docs, etc and one backpack with camera's etc. Plus my purse/handbag and that's it. I'm hoping that we will create room for our return journey for essential purchases.
