Random thought #2 -

According to the Farmer's Almanac, there will be a full moon on October 26th. Do you think it will look any different in the Caribbean sky?

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I had my day at Key West figured out but I cant find my notes......Feedback on the following plan would be appreciated:

- go to Blonde Giraffe to get a treat to eat while walking
- Walk to the Lighthouse - how long of a walk is this, anyone know?
- Maybe go to Hemingway House - is this any good for kids??
- walk to the Southern Most Point
- maybe go to Astro City Playground
- Back to Mallory Square for sunset

Trip advisor says ....

A great way to end your day in Key West. You can't miss it, just head in the direction everyone else is walking about an hour before sunset. You never know what you'll see! The performers are amazing and a lot of fun. Kids will be amazed!

Chuck and I have 7 bags!!

One C-Pap (Freebie cuz it's medical)
One BIG purse (Freebie cuz it's my purse)
2 Carryons- (One with clothes cuz I'm paranoid and one with Meds, Cameras, and 1/2 the Tag Gifts)
1 HUGE Mamajama suitcase with clothes and shoes (topping the scale at 49#)
1 Garment Bag suitcase with formal wear and Pirate clothes
1 other suitcase with JUNK!! (More DIStag gifts, toiletries, Snorkel equip for 3 of us) weighing in at 40#'s.

We will be checking the 2nd carryon with clothes when we get to the terminal so if you see my family at dinner with shorts and KK T-shirts, you'll know that last carryon got lost. Luckily, we have late dining so we should have our luggage by then anyway.

Now hopefully the Junk suitcase will be quite empty on the way home considering your tag gifts are nice and small. Since the kids will be with us, we won't need to buy many souveniers.


Hmmmm, me thinks we may have to re-organize AGAIN!! That's way too many bags for 2 people.

Ha! With all this talk of packing....
I'll have 2 big suitcases just to myself plus 1 carryon
Sean will have 1 big suitcase with 1 carryon
Bob will have 2 big suitcases plus 1 carryon...

so we'll have 5 big suitcases between us without our carryons!
Bob and I both overpack!

But I really use it all! All those clothing changes in 1 day!
Different dress every night... clothes to party in after dinner....
4 bathing suits....

We've been to the Hemingway House, it was cool seeing all the cats around there, but otherwise fairly boring.

Sorry Cinnamike. I think Kristin and Jesse (Team Fun Pants) probably have only one or two posts here and they did that only to humor me. Not much of a chance that they will check in. However, I do think calling Jesse "Team Fancy Pants" would be hilarious!

at last look, robin has 3 large suitcases and a garment bag.
also a duffle for carry on. and video/camera bag.
this is the first time we have flown before a cruise so packing was a little different.

I guess we're not that bad then. Just add Chuck's C-pap and we are dead even with M&R.

I got my cruise docs today

Best thing......

I was looking through the booklet and came across a page that said
Thank for for booking with AAA use this diamond card for .....
misc.. discounts....
and
cat 10 to 12 rooms get onboard credit of $75.
cat 9 and up get onboard credit of $150.

Now when I booked onboard in 2005, I got a room credit of $200.

So I called my TA back today after looking over those docs and said
Carol, I don't remember AAA offering anything extra do you?
She looked at her info and said no, but that she'd call the main office.

Called me back 10 minutes later and confirmed! Yes we get those credits too!

Now we have $425 in credits! Yeah!

Oh, and Janice I had her reconfirm that we're seated together for dinner.
That was confirmed.

And Bob called from Germany today.

He's having a really great time with his daughter
And getting along fine with his ex-wife and her new husband.
All cool. Even met his 15 yr old daughter's 17 yr old boyfriend and
approves said he's very nice, polite, etc.

Got to drive 105 or was it 115 on the autobahn

Got to go drive by the house he built there years ago and visit people he knew around that home.

He's only got tomorrow left to spend with his daughter Shawna, then he flys out of there Wednesday morning.

Just printed out 11 pages of notes I took from our chats....brief notes on everyone I've met online
and tips you've mentioned.

Then printed out 8 pages of notes I got from other sources like the passporter e book...

I am so nuts

First off, tell her to take her own damn shoes.

Second, what the H does she need 13 shoes for? Even if it were one a night (which you don't need), plus a tennis shooes, plus sandals, plus flip flops, you're only at 10. No more than 6 are needed for a woman.

cinnamike has decided he is taking off work friday.
i was to go in at 7 pm and get off at 3 am. sleep for 3 hrs, then get up and head to airport. then probably sleep walk thru friday.
i got to looking at the calendar and noticed that our actual 32 anniversary is thursday and i wouldnt get to see the sweet tart all day.
i havnt missed a day of work since last cruise 2 years ago and im saying heck with it, im taking robin out to dinner and we are going to see our ds his wife and addison before we leave.
so i only have 3 more work days,.just like sweet tart.

Good for you! I plan on being extemely well rested for travel day. It's going to be stressful enough

i am not sure

this is my first time in that area

not sure how any of it works

they didnt in the labs or the club though

but if you have to sign in and out you could just leave for a little bit and get something and comeback

the stack is very close to the drink station
