We are sailing on the 20th too - me, my husband, and my four and a half year old son. We live in the Richmond, Virginia area. We are also taking my in-laws from Minnesota. This is our first Disney cruise and we are very excited. I realize it's late in the game to get to know you guys here, but I've been browsing the posts and it seems like a great group. Is anyone else taking 4 - 5 year old children?

Welcome to our thread Henry's Mom! I think there are now 5 families from Virginia cruising on Oct 20th. Jump right in and chat with us. Most of us are harmless.

Thanks Cheryl - I feel the same way. We're going to be very sad come October 20th but we have many other DISfriends who are going to help us drown our sorrows that night at Party for the Senseless in Epcot.

Actually I'm hoping to meet up with you fine Wisconsin folk next summer when Jay and I bravely make our way North for a family visit.

Hi There! We are in Richmond as well. Well actually Glen Allen area.

We will be on the 20th cruise also with our 3 sons 9, 7, 4, our family friend 11and my in laws.

I tried responding to your private message several times and kept getting error messages. Do you plan to Owen spend time in the kids club area? I think Henry will love that, and it would be great if he could meet a local friend. We live in Midlothian. Since I can't respond to private messages, you can write to me at cj27e@aol.com, if you want to. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza on Friday night. Are you using Disney transportation to get to the port on Saturday morning? I'm not sure how all that works, since we haven't received our trip documents yet. I have to call travel agent in the morning.

Alex had to wear jeans to school today since I packed all her shorts last night. I felt bad for her since it was 93 today!!!! Oh well, nothing is coming out of those suitcases!!!!!

LOL - my daughter is the same way - I packed all her shorts and most of her tshirts - she can wear dresses or pants - thats it!

We are using Disney Transfers Sat morning. The folks at DCL told us we will receive a letter with instructions for Saturday AM upon check-in. We are flying out on Delta at 12:30 Friday.- You all?

That's who it sounded like to me too... our photographer actually put that together for us so we can kind of see what the pictures look like before she gets to start going through and editing and cleaning up the photos

Yes it seems like there are lots of young kids on the cruise which we think is great, we were a little worried that because of the time of year, there might not be as many kids on board. Glad we registered for the Oceaneers club early! I wonder if there is a waiting list now?

I wonder if you have to have small children to get the reference to so and so's mommy or daddy. I stiil find myself introduced and referred to as Owen's Daddy. Cracks me up.
