Cass and Rob - Have a safe trip and even though the flight might be stressful enjoy every minute of it. There is nothing like taking you child on their first big trip. Can not wait to meet you all on the ship.

I am getting very sad now. I think we are the last ones to get our docs.

So here is the story about our docs. They were delivered and signed for at 10:41 on Friday to AAA. However, they went to a warehouse in phoenix. Then that warehouse is supposed to inter office mail them to each branch. So our would go to Scottsdale. However inter office mail only goes out first thing in the morning, so they missed it on Friday, and of course they don't work weekends. So if it went out this morning it should take 2 to 3 business days to get to the branch.


What??????????????????

I can drive to Phoenix faster then that. And what kind of inter office mail takes 2 to 3 days.

No we did not hear from our TA today. Scott did call to see if she was in the office and she was. But now her title is not "cruise specialist" She is now in charge of International travel.


I called another AAA office to find out if it is their procedure to hold docs. That is when she told me the story. However she did say she would call my TA and tell her I am anxius to get them.

Wonder if it is one of those layovers where you don't even have to get off the plane.

Maybe. My TA couldn't get that info from Delta though. Although, after 9/11 they hold that info pretty close to the vest.

Another Dance here Docs arrived by DHL today.


It may be the only time you see me dance...Unless I have had lots of liquid courage Im not a dancer!!!!

Man, you guys can't cut a break. Good news is that they are on their way and you'll have it long before you leave. Crazy that you have to go through all of that though.

Don't be sad, not your fault. Just tell your TA that you literally have people around the world anxiously waiting with you to get those docs, and you are not responsible for their actions if she doesn't get them to you soon!

Ok, here's a question for those of you have done the cruise before...

I'm planning to be picked up at the hotel at 9am, get to the terminal close to 10 (where I'll probably see at least half of you all!) so we can get on the ship sooner. If they start boarding around noon, I'm a bit worried about how DS will do for 2 hours. What else happens at the port - anything? Do they have characters wandering around? Places to sit? Thanks!

We'll be there early too - just look out for us - green bracelets and I'll have Karen Mouse written on my back - Ellis and Thomas can explore together

Karen - don't tell me the result..as we are watching this tomorrow.

Oh Heather it was great - I was screaming "go hippies go" at the tv so loud I didnt even hear Neil come in the front door - he frightened the life out of me.

Is that last seasons? or is there a new season starting? My wife will be happy if that is the case.

Its an old series I think with he Hippies and "frat boys".

Had a nightmare afternoon yesterday

Had an appointment to see Ellis' teacher

She is such a negative person. Even before the meeting she was telling off another kid in a tone totally not suitable for a 6 year old. I also overheard other moms talking about her and someone else has complained to the head about her.

I went in openminded but geez it was hard to be patient. She is not a nice person..no cheeriness, no happy personality, no patience. Totally wrong for that age group. She spoke to Ellis and he half froze and almost couldnt answer. If he's like that when I'm near god knows what she's like when theres no-one watching

We set another date for parents evening and a review.

I wrote her a letter this morning - still trying to be positive, telling her I'd had a talk to Ellis and he would try to speed up his writing and put his hand up more, but also advising her that he's not being ignorant or rude when he doesnt - its just his way - he's quiet, he's not pushy - he'll never want to be first in line for anything, he always hangs back and susses stuff out before he joins in. I really dont think she knows how to handle young and quiet children. She's used to mouthy year 6 kids and she's treating the new class badly.

Oh well, only 11 more months to put up with her

Put it this way - she didnt even notice or comment on him losing first front big tooth - he was so proud and went in with a big smile yesterday so she could see and she didnt say a word - miserable s*d - I could do a better job than her.

After that it was staight home, cook a quick dinner, straight into Beaver uniform and rush to get him there on time - just made it...only to realize I'd left his medication bag on the countertop - I stayed the whole time and didnt get any errands done. He had a good time though - the territorial army came and did a visit - they were all camoflagued and when it went dark they went and hid in the bushes etc outside and played hide and seek with the kids. They painted the kids faces with camo paint - Ellis couldnt have it done but he still joined in just fine, so at least that went well.

Sorry to waffle on and moan.
