HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Have a great day Carrie:hug:

o.k. Chris--you are freaking me out a little. We don't have that vintage in our store, but we sell the 1999 for $130. What do they sell it on-board for? Was your 200 in UK or US money? I wonder if there is a decent wine store near the port where you could pick some up...

It was $200,down from $270 as we get hammered by the UK Duty/Tax over here...Thanks for answering my question

7 Days from now we'll be in the air... :dance3:

I wonder how Liz and Daves wedding went yesterday:love:

I hope it went beautifully. Looking forward to seeing some photos Liz:goodvibes

Good morning Chris - you'll be taking off about now:yay: :yay:

I'll be in departures ready to clean the plane of nuts for Ellis:rolleyes:

Holy cow:yay: :yay: - its a week away:yay: :yay:

It still doesnt seem real:eek:

I think I've been planning so long I cant believe its nearly here:goodvibes

I have to go stand by a field for 2 hours this morning:rolleyes: ...the joys of watching Ellis do football training:rolleyes:

I may just take a flask, my passporter and sneek off to my car for an hour or so.:rolleyes1

We decided to do the Conch Train or Trolley excursion...Why? :happytv:

Checked Online to see what to do in Key West; Conch Train, if booked independent, was first come first served. :confused3

So we decided to go ahead with the 1:00 time to ensure a spot on the train to see what sites to return and do on our own...Only thing that is a must, is the Lighthouse...Di and I are Lighthouse nuts...Besides Disney Nuts, Motorcycle Nuts and Plain Nuts....:lmao:

Walt :cool1:

I would say Trolley because you can get off and on in several locations throughout the island.

With the Train, I think there is only a couple stops and I don't know if you can get off one train and back on another.

We did the Trolley and it was very easy. If you got off at one point, another would be to that point within 20 minutes.

We also just went to the Trolley booth near the flea market and Pirate museum. They just give you a pass and you get on the next trolley that has space. Again, no more than 20 minutes.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm...trying again...

Jay and I really like Perrier Jouet - it's the one that comes in the flower bottle. We've only had it a couple of times because it is a bit pricey but we thought it was quite good. No accounting for taste, huh? ;)

Have you tried Rosa Regale? It's an Italian sparkling red wine from Banfi - light and fruity with a hint of sweetness; it was much better than I expected it to be and it's only about $20 per bottle. :thumbsup2

Oh Brenda, you're singing my song now. This is a fav of mine, but quite pricey on the ship. Any idea where we could buy a bottle in Orlando/Kissimmee, outside of WDW?

A FO!

Question for those who are bringing their laptops (not sure who all is):

Jeff - if I wanted to use the PC's on board, just to type up my trip report and then save it to a USB stick, do DCL still charge if I'm not using the Internet?

I don't recall at what point you need to enter your password (whether it is to get on the system or the internet).

Further, I'm not sure what word processing software they have on the ship. You may have to use WinWord or NotePad or something like that. I doubt they have Word on their computers.

I also don't know if you can access a USB port with them. I don't remember if it was monitor and keyboard only (box being somewhere else).

Sorry I don't have more answers.

My problem now is my laptop power button is completely not working now. We had an issue with it sticking before, but now it won't turn on at all. I've called the warranty company this morning, but the techs don't get in until 10 EST. Not sure if I'll have the home computer with me on the trip. I may bring my work one, but it is much heavier.

Thanks Jeff - We won't have the luggage allowance to bring a laptop, just thought I'd take advantage of the PC's on board. I'l bring a USB stick with me, just in case.

Hope you get your laptop sorted out in time.

We're taking a loptop as a carry-on. We usually have an electronics bag anyways (DVD players, Cameras, Video Recorder, etc), so it will just serve as that, except for maybe the Video Recorder which is bulkier than a camera.

I would definitely take the flash drive with you. It doesn't take up a lot of room and if they have a place for them, great. If not, if you see me up in the Quiet Cove Cafe with my system, ask to borrow it for a little while. Although, supposedly they have wi-fi in the rooms now (I read that on one of the Med reports). We'll see.

There might be a glimmer of hope for my personal laptop. The lady this morning said it was a point of purchase warranty and since I got it from the mail order place work goes through, they may come out and fix it. That would get it done before I leave.

If I have to send it in, I will just take my work one with me then. Battery doesn't last as long, but long enough for DS to watch a DVD on the plane and for me to use it up on deck. Otherwise, it will be plugged in, in the room.

Here's another interesting story that I found during my surfing...

For anyone who ever dreamed of being part of Captain Jack Sparrow's pirate crew, Disney Cruise Line has designed the perfect family activity. "A Pirate's Life For Me" is an all-new game show inspired by the myths, lore, characters and fun of the extremely popular Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
In this highly interactive activity, two lesser-known members of Captain Jack Sparrow's crew have been assigned to aid the eccentric Captain in his search for additional deck hands for their next unique adventure. All who wish to participate are divided into pirate crews that must undergo numerous tests of skill and pirate savvy-ness as determined by the "Wheel of Destiny." Each spin of the ship's wheel brings an additional chance for aspiring pirates to prove they are worthy to serve under the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow—and collect a piece of the treasure. The first crew to collect all the pieces of the treasure wins the game.

Sounds like fun!

It does sound like a lot of fun Steve.

That means one week after that I get to finally meet my Schnoogums.

If they had weather like we had in Wisconsin yesterday, then the day was beautiful.
I'm sure she'll be around to post pictures soon. :bride: :groom:

Isn't it kind of hard to pour coffee into those flasks Karen?

Great job Jen! They all turned out great!!:thumbsup2

:cheer2: Happy30th Birthday Carrie!!:cheer2:

We have done the trolley multiple times in Key West ( and San Diego and Washington D.C. and Savannah) and we like it because it is a great way to get around because you can get off and on. I have the map in front of me from last year, there are 9 stops that you can get off and on at in Key West. Like Jeff we just walk over to the trolley booth that is just a short walk from where the Magic docs to get our tickets and board and off we go.
