Did any of you see the story from last week?

Russian Mother gives birth to 10th child weighing 18 pounds! :scared1:

I would say the 10th child part is bad enough, but 18 pounds is heavier than a bowling ball.

That is crazy! Could it walk?

But babies are growing faster and stronger earlier. My friend's baby is 5 weeks old and turns over already.. not throwing a fit either...just nosey. Didn't babies usually wait a couple of months before doing that?

Anone ever had one of those?

I'm afraid.

Ok, I know this is a taboo subject for the boards but what do you do?

I'm tired of shaving and shave bumps...
I'm going to try the Nair bikini again, I've tried it before but can't remember how well it worked, how long it lasted and how irritating it was?

Ok.....
survey says............................

What about wax? :confused3

Not a Brazilian, but more in the area you are looking to take care of.

Hey Jessalynn, I had a friend who had her first baby in 20 minutes. 20 minutes from beginning of labor to delivery. My first labor was 40 days and 40 nights long!! :rotfl2: (Sure, I can laugh about it now. It wasn't so funny some 26 years ago though). :sad2:

Wow, seriously?
How is that possible?

Although I had novacaine, I have to say that the one root canal I had was kinda cool. He talked to me through it and said what he was doing. Much better than that darn drill for fillings.

:scared1:
NO WAY!
I won't have one!

Last time this was mentioned I said no way and had them pull the tooth instead, much cheaper too, and they knocked me out for it!:thumbsup2

:scared1: Dont forget me!:scared1:

I sure hope I understand the midwestern accent - I have Jeff for a tablemate - could be a lot of polite "what did she say"nodding going on if we dont understand each other:lmao:

Bring a pad of paper so you can write each other notes! :lmao:

I'll play :yay:

Great--I will need the help!

Once again - you'd be welcome

You're welcome too but the spring rolls are all gone:rolleyes1

Too bad!

Rather a personal question I thought! :rolleyes1

I was bought a fondue and a chocolate fondue and I must confess I've never had them out the box. I threw the chocolate one away when we moved. It always seems a lot of hassle.

It is really very easy--don't need to buy anything from a box--I have some really good recipes. It all goes together in less than 20 minutes and then the eating part is FANTASTIC!!

Well done on the milestone:banana:

How many days until the next one?

You're so drugged (sp?) up when they do it, you don't feel it. They take little files and go into the root canal. I found it very fascinating.

Pulling a tooth hurts a lot more and the pain stays with you. When you do a root canal, they kill the nerver, hence no pain.

We held our own ressie. Not sure who dropped them off, I was in the shower when the doorbell rang and Belle started barking like crazy, that was the fastest shower I ever took, I had to make sure it was our docs and not someone else ringing the bell. They were laying there on our front stoop :) :) :)

Congrats Cheryl!!!!

Did you hold your own ressie or was it through a TA?

Well I am off and running. Hope you all have a great day.:cool1: :cool1:

Guess what

OUR DOCUMENTS JUST CAME

:
All you Wisconsinites be on the lookout for yours!!!!!!

Cheryl,

This is so funny: When I sat down at the computer about 45 minutes ago I thought I heard the doorbell, so I ran upstairs (not thinking about docs) and I didn't see anybody at the front door so I tried the back door. Thought I must have been hearing things so I went back downstairs. So, I just see your post and I race upstairs and sure enough--my documents are laying outside the front door!!

:dance3: Congrats Cheryl, & Victoria, how exciting. :yay: :cheer2: Now I can't wait to be done w/work so I can go home to check, and it's only lunch time. This afternoon is going to DRAGGGGGGG.:sad2:

Not mine.
Got a torsion of my left ovary 5 months pregnant. That was painful!
Stupid doctors thought I was having gas for 2 days.... told me I didn't know since it was my first child. By third day I had to go to emergency room then surgery and they removed my ovary while pregnant!
Almost went into labor then. But Sean survived.

He was late for 2 weeks, I went in to be induced and 2 days more of nothing but nurses telling me to push... etc. Son's father kept yelling at me. Me crying tired. Then C section.
Come to find out, and I was pushing hard! that I had a contraction ring in my uterus that no matter how hard I'd ever push, he never would have come out, he was stuck!

I was so pissed at those nurses and son's father afterward for yelling at me to push:headache:
Just as I was at those other 2 docs who told me I had gas when it was a torsion!
I never went to them again. My ob/gyn who practiced with them and had delivered my baby, and was the sweetest of all of them, left that practice and works by himself now. I followed him out of there.

I have heard so many bad doctor stories - its hard to believe these guys dont get hit with mal-practice suits more often. i guess people are just so glad its over that they move on.

Glad all worked out in the end
