I can't believe we haven't found this thread sooner. Me, DW, 3 sons- 9,7,4, friend's son 11, and the in-laws are cruising together for my wife's 40th and celebrating the fact that she is a 2yr Breast Cancer survivor.

Anyone cruising with children.

Hello and welcome! There are a lot of kids going and they have a thread as well. Kid Cruisers October 20th. We are traveling with a 11 year old son and 3 older boys as well.

hi guys. cinnamikes on 12 hrs. this week. extra $$$ for strawberry smoothies.
we havnt been on much lately. while we were at cassies fri and sat robins dr
called and wanted to let robin know her bloodwork came back and they wanted her to call. since they usually only call you back if there is a problem i was kind of nervous.
she has been getting dizzy and light headed a lot lately so she went to the dr last week to get checked out before oct.
today she called and they said her thyroid is out of whack and called in a prescription for her to see if they can get it regulated before we go.
(otherwise she may be a little loopy. and shes loopy enough already )

Hi everyone.

17 more sleeps - i am getting so excited that I just cant wait!!!

When our son was 3, he used to refer to days as sleeps too. I love it.

I hope we are not crashing a party or special group, if so please just ignore. but we are arriving 10/19 2:35P MCO Staying at Hyatt. It looks like there are many doing the same thing. Could be fun.

OMG! It's getting so close
I'm so not ready, but am throwing stuff that I need on the cruise
into my spare/computer room.
And everytime I open the door, my ferret Rikki
keeps stealing something and running off with it!
I have a collection of small items for the cruise under my bed now!
At least he's having fun!

I'm not anywhere near ready... My bedroom is going to get junked up real fast.

I love ferrets. Too cute.

My oldest is saving money and keeping room clean in hopes of getting a ferret... I am unsure about them as I heard they smell and we have two dogs and two birds and I don't want anyone hurt...

Thanks Carrie, but I sure don't want you shlepping along a hardcover book just for me. Thanks for the offer though. I saw her book on tv yesterday and thought it might be entertaining. I really do like Paula a lot.

Oh please. Taking a hard cover book with me is no problem at all. I might be taking it anyways just to finish it on the plane. I only have 70 pages left but very little time to read.

Since it's running so slow. I'll just put all my thoughts in one post.


Regarding how I'm feeling. Very Fatigued, but after a couple of weeks on thyroid meds, I shoud be ready for the cruise.

I've never had to take meds for anything and have gotten pounded this past week. Too much stress, I think.

Blood pressure, Water pills, thyroid meds. It sucks to get old.

Just think... We'll all be stress free in a couple of weeks.

Talking of books - has anyone read the Dr Phil books? If so are they any good? He talks a lot of sense on the tv

I have read all the relationship ones of his and liked them so much that I was highlighting things in them. I have even read his wife's book.

Nope not crashing at all. I'll be at the Hyatt in the late afternoon. I had planned to get up early before the family on Saturday to make sure that I hit that first bus to the port. You can join me there. I believe that they start the signups at 0830 and I plan to be hoovering about the area at about 0730 and I'll line up as soon as I see progress!

Ok... I got two bags packed. hahahaha But they were BIG bags .... Well... sort of.

One was all the boys dress clothes so that was a lot.

The other was all my tag stuff and all the pirate clothes for all 6 of us. So that was a lot. It also had the kids water bottles and pins and lanyards for trading.

And I have piles all over in all the upstairs rooms.

Yippee!

I just had a thought. It took a while. (my mind is mush) My thyroid has been too low. That's why I haven't lost hardly any weight after busting my butt all month.

Maybe I'll lose some extra lbs before the cruise.

We are on the 10:A shuttle from DCL. Are you using the DCL shuttle service.
It looks like you all are getting in much later than us. We arrive at 2:30P, but we are coming from VA so it is a short flight.

DW and I went to Cass's World and saw the list of families. Did you all know each other before planning this cruise?
