Jeff, If I remember correctly the new thing onboard is that you pay for your minutes (no more unlimited usage) and you get to use both your computer AND the ship's computers. However, I know you can't upload anything to their computer so Cheryl, you won't be able to use your flash drive I don't think. I'm pretty sure though that you can print stuff off. There is at least one printer at the internet cafe but they charge you $ for each sheet.

Yeah, I think they did away with the unlimited a long time ago. It wasn't available in January. And I don't believe it ever was available for wireless (maybe wrong on that one though).

It looks like they have two different prices though for wireless and Internet Cafe. My figures came off of Castaway Clubs website. They had the Internet Cafe fromt he 9/8/07 sailing and the wireless from after that, so I don't know. Either way, we're going for 100 minutes.

I hope we can get on to print off using the existing minutes. If not, like I said, online check in is only 5 minutes max, depending on how fast the pages load.

Hi Karen, bye Karen.

I'm off to finish cutting the grass. Spent 45 minutes last night before the sun went down. Got about an hour more to do.

Then start cutting all the plants down.

Mike,

I expect you to greet me like this:

BTW, for anyone interested:
To get around the "no loading things on the ships computers" rule: (i.e. usb drives, floppies or CD's) You can email the document to yourself then access the ships computers to open said document and print it off.

Brenda - thank you so much for this info. I took your orginal advice and did some seraching on the www. Came up with the same result - ABC Fine Wines. Going to try the one at The Loop, as it looks like they stock this wine.

Thank you again and it's a shame that we won't be meeting up this time, but perhaps in the future...who knows!

Have a great vacation.

Hello all,

ABC is a good chain, with a nice selection and very good prices. The one previously menitoned on 535 is just up the road from the Palm Pkwy. The one at the Loop (Osceola Pkwy & John Young Pkwy) is also a good choice, and is easy to get to. There is one on 192, near the WalMart on Bass Rd, but it's a bit sleazy and there always seem to be some shady characters hanging around. If you can get to downtown Orlando, there is a great store, Total Wines & Liquors, which is huge. It's on East Colonial Drive ( SR-50), at the intersection of Bumby, and is easy to get to from the 417. Total has an immense inventory, and better prices than ABC.

Hope that helps,

See you on the cruise..

Bill

So, if they lose that piece of luggage, you guys get chocolate croissants as your tag gifts :lmao:

I just checked the 5-day forecast for Orlando and it's pretty exciting because we will be THERE on day 4 and 5 :cool1:

Hi Bill!

At this rate we won't hit the next milestone until after I'm off work! Everyone must be perusing their docs. (You know, those things that are sitting in my TA's office out of my reach right now)

Anyone else have nightmares about their upcoming trip?????

Last night I dreamt that we were going through security at the airport and someone stole my fanny pack AND my backpack :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Which had the following:
ALL my ID
All my US $$$
credit cards
park hoppers
sea world tix
all my confimation papers

Thank goodness it was only a dream!

I've had two already but they were awhile ago. I'm sure in the next two weeks I'll have more though.:confused3

So, if they lose that piece of luggage, you guys get chocolate croissants as your tag gifts :lmao:

Sounds good to me Cass! I L O V E those croissants!

Hi everyone,

Just got back. There was no getting ready for the cruise today.

Ready for the FO hat and a pic of my Mom & dad at Octoberfest at Windsor (nursing home)

Hold on.

Pics are coming. :woohoo:

Mom & Dad today. It was a good visit. They look so happy and they enjoyed the festival. :woohoo:

Mike's FO hat. It's a little blurry, but you can still see it.

I don't have mine either, Steve. I got an email today. They will be delivered Tuesday. The wait is killing me..:rotfl:

Emily started her glucose testing today. Not fun for her. She sees those little sticks as huge needles. She tests a half hour before meals and two hours after meals--so 6 times a day. We record the numbers but have no idea what is a normal blood sugar level. :headache:

Hey all!
Been lurking here and there, boy what a slow day. Got the hair done, and now working on packing.
Cass- no bad dreams just the pit in my stomach that I will forget something important

:bday: Carrie :bday:
