Boy I wish I could keep a secret like that. It would be so fun. Alas, my excitement always gets the better of me.

Well, I would have told him a lot sooner if I wanted to hear "are we going on our vacation today??" every day...

All 3 kids have known for the past 3 years. We did not hear to much about it from them. Mac just started talking about it at 30 days. Now that we do a count down chain she will talk about it daily. I am thinking Kelsey and Kyle were told by others that we were not actually going to go so they did not allow themselves to get excited about it. I still do not see much excitement out of Kyle, but Kelsey is starting to ask a lot of questions. Sad thing is they are all questions that we have answered before if she would have been listening.

Is he a bit like Donkey in Shrek?

Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

I'm sure they'll get really excited the week or so before...

I know I will!

Last year, my mom made the mistake of telling him 2 weeks ahead of time that we were going on vacation to Door County... he would bounce out of bed saying, "We're going on vacation today!" and then have a meltdown when I told him it wasn't time yet....

I think he'll be better this year...he's got a better concept of time. I can tell him it's 2 weeks away, and he'll understand it. I may make a countdown chart...Ack - one more thing to do before we leave!!!! :scared1:

I do like a cup of coffee/Grande Latte when we're on holiday, and usually from Starbucks. Rick doesn't understand...he says coffee is coffee, and calls it my obsession. The coffee in Cove Cafe last Sept was quite horrible. I'm going to try it again this trip, as I only have decaff now, so it might be better. I did read a mention about a coffee card available on the ship. Can anyone enlighten me on the cost?

If the coffee is still horrible, I'll switch back to english breakfast tea, and sachets of Nescafe Latte's that I'll bring with me.

I can't imagine that they will not have addressed that. So many people being so picky about the quality of their coffee should have forced that. Even the Cafeteria here at work had to upgrade their FREE coffee because of all of the complaints.

Morning? no, afternoon Steve

Yes but on the West Coast of the New World, we are still rubbing the sleep out of our eyes. (Californians are so laid back, we can't seem to get out of bed until 10 or 11:lmao: )

That's why I made our Paper chain. To avoid all of that. But I am convinced that my Daughter (3) does not really believe that she is going to see the Mickey Ship in real life. I'm sure that she thinks this is some elaborate delusion her old man has conjured up.

Happy belated Birthday to Rosie and Ryan!! party: :bday: party:

Good to hear from you Lindy Loo!!!! Holy freaking expensive cokes!!

Karen and Chris,
Do you guys pre-clear US customs in Heathrow like we do in Calgary or do you have to go through customs when you land in FLorida???

Are the boards running s......l.......o......w..... for you too.

I tried quoting, spent 20 min. typing and lost it. AAAAWWWWW!

Since it's running so slow. I'll just put all my thoughts in one post.

Regarding how I'm feeling. Very Fatigued, but after a couple of weeks on thyroid meds, I shoud be ready for the cruise. :thumbsup2

I've never had to take meds for anything and have gotten pounded this past week. Too much stress, I think.

Blood pressure, Water pills, thyroid meds. It sucks to get old. :lmao:

Just think... We'll all be stress free in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup2

Rest up Robin,
Hope you'll feel better soon

I look like crap in a hat but I don't really care, it keeps the sun out of my face! :thumbsup2

Okay, I just finished Dis Tag prezzie #14 :woohoo: Five more to go :thumbsup2 The end is finally in sight :lmao:

Be back later :wave2:

Same here Cass! starting #15

I'm getting a little nervous about prezzies...I'm not putting mine together until I am on the ship! They'll take up too much space in the suitcase.....

Hi Steve!

Kind of a funny little story about the check in at the Hyatt. I met up with another family of DISers and we had the same idea about getting first to the check in table. Another cruiser showed up from a different hotel and was all loud about where to line up. He was a seasoned cruiser and knew it all. He was first in line at this one table and told everyone who came in to line up behind him.

We were standing next to another empty table. Here comes the DCL reps and walked right over to the table we were standing at!! Guess who was first in line and guess who at the end of it??:lmao:

:rotfl:

My family will also be traveling Oct 20th. We will be arriving early Oct 19th and we are staying at the MCO Hyatt. There is myself, DH, DS 9, and DD 5. This is our children's first cruise. I can't believe that it is almost here!!

Hi! I'm Rose, from NY. Traveling with boyfriend Bob and son Sean 17.
Where are you from and what are your names?

No need to worry Paige. I also am "putting them together" on the cruise as they won't pack very well if they are all assembled. I think most people are doing that as well. I am working on the main ingredient of the prezzie now though so I can put them in bags when I get on the ship.

I think everyone is doing something different which I think is gonna make it a lot of fun!!! :woohoo: No worries, whatever you do will be fine ::yes:: Like MG says, it's supposed to be fun :cool1:

Welcome aboard!!! :cool1: I am Cass and I will be cruising with hubby Rob and daughter Kira who will turn 11 months on the cruise. Also travelling with us are Rob's parents, sister and her two kids ages 8 and 5.

Hope to see you at the Mickey Pool at 3 PM on the 20th!
