Don't forget to account for the weight of his books. We forgot all about that with Kelsey and she is only in Junior high. 2 weeks before we go is fall break so they have a week off. I am hopeing she can get most of her work done during that time.

Her PE teacher just wants her to journal each day what activites she does and how they affect the body. Pretty easy, just have to bring along a journal.

However we have not heard back from any of her teachers except that one.

Well, Sean is responsible for his own suitcase handling and I know that he tries to take out really heavy stuff so it's not too hard to handle. I'm sure he'll find a way to go lightly on his schoolwork, if possible. Unless he's got a lot of reading to do in his textbooks, then perhaps I'll pack one and Bob can pack one, to split up the weight.

Dont put youself down. I do it out of necessity not cos i want to.

Its only because I freak out every so often when the house reaches a certain point of messiness and I have to blitz it or go insane.

I'm sure your tag gift will be fab - I hope mine meet up to all your high standards - sounds like you've all put a lot of effort into them. I on the other hand have had to shop for small and light items -hope you wont all be disapointed.

I have days where I can barely make dinner then I have others where I just cant stop. It helps me having a deadline or event to work to. I just keep thinking that by the time we're home from our hols it will nearly be xmas and I havent put a single thought into a single gift yet (well, actually I got my baby nephew his today - but thats the only one I've bought.

I like having all my decorations up and sorted by Dec 1st, I start 23rd November so thats my next deadline.

Carrie amazes me though - She wears a cape with a big S on the back

Believe it or not I do have my down days and things that I start that don't get done and things I want to do that I never have time to do. I just really concentrat on what I get done because it makes me feel better about myself. Self esteem has been an issue for me lately and I take pride in myself when I can accomplish things. So that tends to be my motivation. When I accomplish something I have to tell someone. Latly it has been all of you because Scott and I don't see each other very much.

Do the girls get ID cards at school? Or if the school runs off a system like we do, when we pull up a child it has their name, home info, and a pic of them., they could print that page out. It maybe better than risk losing a SS card.(although knowing you there would be no way in heck you would let that happen.)

Just an idea, if you have access to a copy machine, make copies of the pages she will need and leave the books at home. That and the fact you are not at risk of being liable for paying for a missing book if it gets lost. (again knowing you, not likely to happen)

You are right that I would not let that happen, but I forgot that Kelsey has a picture ID for school now. I will make sure she brings it. The other 2 do not have one and the school does not have a system with pictures.

Actually on this one it could happen. I am not very into Kelsey's schooling because 1) she does not want me to be and 2) her mother would perfer I am not. So I would forget all about the book on the ship or plane. You have another good point. I can get free copies also so I might have to have her take her book down and get copies.
