You know Robin...it is hard to picture you in such a different costume... I'm so used to the Ariel...which I know is Mike's little icon but that was you when I saw it. LOL

Susan, ours came one week before cruising last time from AAA.

That is because most of you only need a swift breeze to "get right on with it."

Do you guys go and wait in the laundry room to iron things or did you sneak in a travel iron or did you send it to get ironed by staff?

Never waited to iron anything. You shouldn't have a problem unless you go five minutes before dinner. And sneaking in a travel iron is a no-no.

We are leaving late Saturday night & I told my sister that that would give us just enough time to hit DTD for Earl of Sandwich & some shopping! I'm addicted to that place!!

Danielle, after our first cruise, we went to EOS for my jerk sandwich. It was only 10:30 am but I had to have one.

Just a reminder to make sure and fly the flag tomorrow!

Still a little weepy. He misses Mom. When I got there, he grabbed me as if he were protecting me and said "Let's go down this way." That guy over there is trouble.

As it turns out... A new patient had just been admitted and he was of a different race and I think Dad was thinking back to war days. But he didn't want me anywhere around that person. The nurse thought it was a racial thing.

Who knows? Since he's had alzheimers, he does a lot of things out of character.

Thanks for the iron tips. I didn't think we are supposed to take one but I didn't know if it was going to be a long wait. I don't wait till last minute so I will be ok. I'll go at 6AM with my coffee in my pajamas. LOL

With alzheimers, it is hard to say what he believes. Could be something completly different than all of that. When I was a teenager I worked in a retirement home and we had one patient that thought I was her mom. When she would get freaked out about the Germans coming to take her to "camp" (she was not Jewish nor had she ever lived in another country..) they would call me to come in and calm her down. I would put her to bed. Very sad. So much we don't know about it and so hard to really know what it is they go through. {{Hugs to you}}}

Last night I was coughing and coughing and coughing so I finally got up and took cough syrup. Then I slept. But I did dream Disney Cruise style.

Only certain things about people stood out and that is how I knew who they were. Of course, in the dream, we were the only people on the ship.

But it was like all up on the deck and Rob was eating ice cream and Cass never did get to eat as she was so busy taking pictures of the food and video and holding Kira...(that is her diet secret I'm sure...) And Jeff was saying things like, "It is over that way 29 steps, the percentage of guests that eat that is 76%" Wine Diva was of course, sitting at a table doing wine tasting by the glass... she had 6 bottles on the table... Nancy had a big huge hat on with a cloth bow tied under her chin..mother goose style.. Anyway, no more codine for me....lol
