I have to tell you something that happened to a friend of mine....

they went to WDW in June for the first time with their kids (ages 6 and 9) for one week. On the day they went to Magic Kingdom - they got pulled aside and was awarded one of the Special Prizes that they are giving away this year.

So they all got to wear special passes for the day that got them to go to the front of the line on any ride at Magic Kingdom all day. Each ride they wanted to go on - they went up the exit line and got to go on the very next ride.....they said people were coming up to them all day offering to buy the passes from them. Even as they were leaving at night people were offering to buy them. They said it was a magical way to spend their day at MK - they got to see everything and do everythign even though it was pretty busy.

Wow - would be nice to win that prize

time for kickoff. back after the game.(or halftime if we are getting killed):sad1:

Steve can't wait to see pictures of your decorations this Hallowen and Christmas! Your past Christmas pictures are beautiful!

Thanks. I'm kinda looking forward to it too. although, I will only have a few days to prep for Halloween because of the cruise, so I will need to work fast. I'm trying out my Light-o-rama controller this Halloween so that I know what to do for Christmas.

We payed for the dining paln for the last leg of our trip in June. I thought it would be a good time to try it out because we were only paying for 3 nights an dwe were only going to be in the parks 1 of those days. We decided we will never pay for this again, especailly with the change sthey are making for 2008. We felt like it was just way too much food. We ate a few places that we wouldn't have if we didn't have the dining plan but we actually said we felt like we were uncomfortably stuffed more so than on the cruise :lmao: On the last morning we were buying things we could take home with us to eat on the plane so we made sure to use all our credits too :lmao:

I doubt that I will be buying the dining plan anymore either. Last year I saved over $400 on the dining plan (didn't feel too stuffed because we were always splitting the portions between us because Leah was too young to qualify) But with the changes to the plan, I don't see the savings anymore. So I'm going to take Jeff's advice and only do counterservice on future trips. I kinda like that a bit more anyway. We had to have ressies everywhere we went and as a result needed to be working on a schedule. I missed somethings because I had to be to dinner at a certain time. I'm a No-Schedule type of guy.

Suz and I are usually the same way. We're up until 1:00 only to have to be at the airport by 6:30. I think the excitement keeps us up also.

None of that for me! I'm having the packing done early and the night before, I'm taking an Ambien to make sure that I get one good nights sleep before all the craziness. (flight, layovers, settling in at the Hyatt, waking up early to make sure I beat everyone to the bus for that coveted 1st bus to the ship!)

And you can see the animals from your balcony? OMG my kids would love it.

I thought of going there on our next trip to WDW. We can splurge on the AKL, go where we are comfortable (CSR) or go cheap (POP) I haven't made up my mind yet.

This one is for you and your computer issues you have been having

What kind of list are you making there anyway? Am I on that list?

When I joned the thread I did myself a list of who was who etc and then added to it as more people joined.

Then it got so out of date as people joined then left that I gave up:rolleyes1

I am trying to get the little things organised like birthday cards etc for people who are celebrating onboard.

I have you on my who's cruising list, but not on my celebrating list - are any of your party celebrating aniiversary or b'day in October? If so please tell me.

I also dont have who you are travelling with in your party.

Can you list them for me so I can update it please:goodvibes

chuck? is that you?

Is that you Chuck?????

Yes, that was my Charlie Tuna. To claim your prize, just see Beef.

Oh what fun!! Good for them.:cheer2:

Susan, I think Karen is looking at the list I sent to you last month (or so). Actually, a new and final one is being worked on today and all taggers will have one emailed to them.

None of that for me! I'm having the packing done early and the night before, I'm taking an Ambien to make sure that I get one good nights sleep before all the craziness. Steve, we were first on the first bus out of the Hyatt in 05. Once you get to the meeting place, there will be an empty table sitting there. Park yourself in front of that table and don't move. If the kids get ants in their pants, make sure Laura stays at the table. No one will be there yet, but that will be the table where they will register you. You should only have your carry-ons at that point too. You tag your luggage with the Disney tags AFTER you pick them up in baggage but before you set them outside your room in the morning. Be sure to tell the Hyatt clerk that you are on the Disney Cruise and she will be mark your room for luggage pickup.

The line at the Hyatt will be long as others are gathering there too from other hotels around the airport. Once you get to the Port, you have the choice of leaving your carry-on behind too for them to take onto the ship. We kept ours because it held our cameras and Chuck's c-pap.

On the whos celebrating list there is a listing:

Jen Birthday Oct 17th

I cant find out who this is?

Forgive me for asking but whats her disname?:flower3:

someone else may have already answered this but I think it's millerjm or millerpjm or something along those lines. I only remember because her birthday is the same as mine! :thumbsup2

I had planned to go down and stand in line early while Laura and the kids get ready to go. Thanks for the advice. I never thought about having to beat others to that table as well! Maybe I'll be there a bit earlier than I had planned. I'm going to need more e-books.
