Come on I need some motivation to get through the kitchen. I hate cleaning the kitchen. I like making it dirty just hate cleaning it. All the counters are done. I still need to clean the table, sweep and mop. YUCK

Jeff you think I can make 2000 before the cruise? I think I shot the 1000 goal out of the water.

way off topic

We have white appliances in our kitchen right now. We will slowly be changing them out for new ones. I was thinking I wanted black ones but now I am wondering if I go all black would that make my kitchen look smaller? Does anyone have advice on this. I really did not want to stay white with kids because it shows all the dirty hand prints to much, but now I am thinking black may not be the answer.

 Kitchen is done. I even did the top of the fridge. Now it is time for a fruit break. Then I am off to the computer/play room

Hey DIS time if off again. How misleading. I only have 45 minutes before DH gets up and I have to get ready for the day.

Not to much planned for today so that is good. Just returning a pair of Mackenzie's shoes to Walmart. They were the ones I got for pirate night, but they hurt her feet so we decided to take them back and look for different ones. Pay bills. I delibratly am waiting to do that until the kids are here because they hate how much time I spend on the computer. :rotfl: Then we might do dinner with friends tonight. Not sure yet

ok you all get a break from me for a little while. Time to go get ready for the day.

The only thing I did not get cleaned was the downstairs bathroom. Not to bad for 3 hours. Thanks for putting up with me.

Well, we're off to buy our travelers checks and to turn in our cash bucket. Every night we toss all of our spare change into an old WDW popcorn bucket. It's full to the top with change and even some small lottery winnings in it. It should pay for all the baskets I'm buying from Shirley at The Perfect Gift for the cruise.:dance3: I'll report back with the final count.:woohoo:

Later everyone....:flower3:

Mission accomplished. We ended up with $325.72 in our bucket!:cheer2: Cheryl, we do the same thing at the stores. I NEVER give them the correct change. Chuck needed 2 pennies the other day and I made him cash a dollar bill for it. :rotfl2:

Hi

I don not usually post I mostly just read the notes. Chris and I do the same thing only we don not give anyone change. I also get gas in an odd amount like $9.50. That gives us .50 for the change jar. I have a picutre of the Magic on the outside of the jar.:dance3:
Your note also caught my interrest because Iam a dental hygienist.Actually I usually refer to myself as a claening lady.:rotfl2: I went to school when I was 32. Is Kristin your daughter?

P.S. Hope the tooth gets better!!!
Lynn

Hi Lurking Lynn.:yay: Yes, Kristin is my DD (23). We are traveling with Kristin and her DBF Jesse (26), our DS Tony (26) and his fiance' Stacy (25 on Oct 21st). We are Chuck and Nancy (a.k.a Mother Goose).

I love your idea about putting a pic of the Magic on your change bucket. Good idea. We gave each one of the kids one of the DotD hurricane glasses from our first cruise to use as change glasses. They have filled them up a few times themselves already.

Hey do we have a QOTD yet?? Don't remember seeing one...

How about...

What time will you be arriving at the port on sail day????

We will be dropping our rental car off at Budget at 9:30 and should be at the port by 10 AM!!! :cool1:

Chuck and Tony will see you at the Budget Cass. The rest of us will be standing in line waiting to get in.:cheer2:

If we're all turning up around 10am - who is wearing their KK t shirts?

I dont know whether to wear it the day we board or the wine tasting?

I think Chuck and I will be wearing our shirts with our bracelets. I think the kids MIGHT be wearing their shirts too.:confused3

Thanks everyone!
As for DH, when he is on vacation he tends to try and put the badge away, plus the badge does no good on a cruise ship, thank god. He will however intervene in a situation if he sees necessary. Quick story, on our first trip to WDW(pre 9/11) we were on our way to the Tampa airport and got lost and missed our flight. Well another gentleman had missed his flight and was quite upset. After about 5 min of this guy ranting and raving on the poor airline rep, my DH got up and went over to to help the poor lady and told the gentleman that he needed to calm down or he was going to call security. The guy said some obsenities back to my DH, and DH instructed the agent to call security. The guy said for what, and at that point my husband raised his voice at the guy and loudly stated "for disturbing the peace". Well I got scared that DH was going to have to "restrain" the guy, but Security came and took him away, and we got fly
1st class all the way home!:cool1:

BONUS!!!:cheer2:

We might just be able to do it. We have some heavy posters here. :cool1:

Hey Susan, we're trying really hard to get out of the KK Loser Club. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ohhhh, that's not what you meant by "Heavy Posters"???:rotfl: :rotfl:

I think we will be wearing our t-shirts when we get to the terminal, haven't decided 100% but probably.

We could have a mini DIS meet while waiting to get into the terminal :thumbsup2

Yeah, usually the early ones are DISers, so I guess technically it could be our first KK meet :lmao:

Is this to clear immigration before we get off the Magic?

If this is true it'll be great - or -will everyone have to go through immigration and then it'll take forever, which is not good.

Heather

I haven't heard anything but I highly doubt that it's changed. Since we are non-US citizens, we do have to clear customs, they usually come on board around 5:30am and the ship needs to be cleared as early as possible. If it does not clear, no one can get off the ship and they can't start unloading luggage and loading supplies until the ship is all clear.

I just hope the sailing before us doesn't have any problem clearing customs or else all of us 10AM people will be waiting in the hot sun for nothing :sad2:

DH wants to be at the port as soon as they will let us in. We are hoping the shuttle will go up that day, but I read yesterday that the current shuttle that just went up has a gouge in its belly. If the gouge is too bad then they will have to stay in space until they can send up another shuttle, no later than early Oct.. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't bad, especially for the safety of the astronauts.

I want to get to the port as soon as it opens as I would like to see if we can upgrade to a cat 9 or higher when we get there. I have read that you should be there at 8:30, but don't they open the terminal at 10? Has anyone done this?

Usually the port opens up at 10AM, but if there is a problem, it can be delayed. If you are there at 8:30, they won't even let you near the loading area, they make you wait in your car/taxi or outside the gate.

We don't know:sad2: We are at the mercy of the shuttle bus. From the airport hotel to the terminal. I am hoping it picks up early. But we have no clue.

If you are using DCL busses from the Hyatt, make sure you sign up for the earliest bus (can't remember if it's 9 or 9:30 departure? I think it's 9AM). I think you can sign up early where the DCL desk is.

We have a black stove and it NEVER ever looks clean, always has streaks etc. :sad2:

So if I see them there and say Hi, will they know who I am?? :lmao: Look Dad, some freak is screaming at us...must be one of mom's crazy friends! :rolleyes1

Just popping in for a quick lunchtime hello...

How in the world does anyone who sells alcohol in Florida manage to have anything shipped from a distributor if it's a felony to send intoxicating beverages across their state line? :confused3

Oh well... I guess that means that Jay and I have a lot of drinking to do in October since we can't ship anything home. ;)

AFEG... just send that case of champagne to my attention at the Beach Club Villas. I'll see that it gets a good home. :rotfl2:

Your at the Villas too? We are staying there the 18-19 & 27-28

Meet you at the hot tub

Judy:cool1:

Steve graet pictures of Stuart and Leah and great pictures on the yahoo site!

Thanks!

You are right, the terminal opens at 10am. I think people say that because you want to be some of the first in to score an upgrade. I've heard that they go fast.

We'll be leaving on the first bus from Hyatt MCO to the port. So I should be there at aprox 10-10:30.

We'll have our wristbands on, But Laura will want us dressed up for the boarding picture. So, no t-shirts.

Thanks for the advice on the black stove. Hmmm where is the DCL desk at. Is it at the Hyatt? Can I sign up for it before leaving home? I want to get there early.

Thanks!

Where is the Hyatt MCO, what does MCO stand for?

So we asked the kids if they wanted to dress up for pirate night and I think they said yes. Kelsey said it quick and kind of like sure. Kyle we could not hear very well and his answer was sure I guess.

So off we went to Goodwill, nothing for anyone. So we went to savers. Kelsey now has her costume. Scott will deffinatly be the most piratey of the bunch. Kelsey got a brown shirt that is baggy, and a black belt, and will wear her black pants. Still did not find anything for Kyle.

The Disney Desk in on the lower level, It's listed on the airport maps. I don't think that you will be able to sign up for it at home, I plan on hitting it shortly after signing into the hotel.

MCO is the airport designation. Hyatt is located inside the airport. probably the same one that you are scheduled for.
