:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That is hilarious Nancy. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good QotD! I'll have to think about what the funniest thing we ever saw was.

QotD:

Just helping Jeff out again as he's got a busy day today.

"What's the funniest thing you ever saw on a Disney Ship or, if you are first-timers, the funniest thing you ever saw on Disney grounds."

Mine had to be the time I saw a lady standing in the disembarkation line in her husbands shoes, and a nightie. Her DH was competely dressed but it looks like someone forgot to leave some travel clothes out of her suitcase for the next day. He was just smiling away and she was wearing a "Bitter Beer Face". :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I will phone Heather ( if this is ok mate?) and get an update on the dis tag stuff nearer the date. Sadly my first lot of gifts are now very very wet!!! so Iwill have to go shopping again! I wish we had booked a palos brunch, our time slot was just HOURS after being flooded. and as we have no internet now, we will have to wait till we board and beg a space then.

You are more than welcome - ring away. Don't be put off if a grumpy old man answers - it'll only be Rick!:rotfl:

He hates answering the phone as he says it's always for me, and it must be one of the old foggies (old ladies) from my flower arranging club.

Heather

Give Elouise a  from me, and Wayne if he needs one!

Definately Donald Duck and the way he mucks about. On one of Rick's videos at the Tropicalifragilistic Deck Party, he falls flat on his face. Rick has a chuckle when he sees that.

Anyone not seen out two videos:

briliant video of your 2002 trip - I will have to shwo the family tonight when I get home. LOVE THE MUSIC. Well done.

Anyone planning on playing Bingo whilst on-board?

Heather

I will for sure - my 15 year old loves BINGO and it will be one of the things that she and I can do for our "one on one" time.

She gets so into it - it makes me laugh

Haven't done Bingo since 2002. I'm sure Bev, her mum and I will join in a few sessions. You get hooked!

Heather

What with Bingo and Team Trivia, we won't see daylight.:rotfl:

A FO?

Heather

Count me in for BINGO. I don't normally play but I have seen a sample of some of the prizes and I think it could be fun to play. I normally spend time in casinos so without one bingo is my next best option.

The funiest thing we saw was last year when we were walking back to the Magic on the pier in Cozumel and there were 3 people walking, no the more appropriate word would be staggering, down the pier carrying multiple gigantic"drinking" glasses each. The Carnival ship that docks right across from the Magic was pulling in their lines and anchors and these 3 were saying how they had hours yet until their ship sailed. As we turned the corner on the pier they noticed their ship was getting ready to leave and they started shouting "don't leave without us" and running. They were quite a sight to see running down the pier :lmao: . This doesn't sound very funny but seeing it was quite hilarious!!!

Talk to you guys later. Rachel has an eye doctor appointment this afternoon and we have some more school shopping to do.

So Van Halen has finally announced a tour with David Lee Roth. I want to go but they are in Toronto on our Thanksgiving....wont go over with teh folks if I have to leave dinner early to go to show.

Who do I take with me - I might call up an old friend from high school who I saw them with in 1984 (WOW that was a long time ago). Or I might take Spencer - he loves rock music.

I cant believe they are charging almost $200 a seat - ridiculous.

Any other rockers out there??

Ouch! $200. That'll hurt. Might be fun to see them. I heard that Eddie's son Wolfgang has been singing with them.

Thank you to my darling Nancy :hippie: for the lovely cards and contact messages from you all

And thank you so much for the card from Heather too, and we even managed to have a breif chat, when I called from work on Sunday... I have to use the works phone as we have no land line and the mobile bill is HUGE!!! Being on the phone to the insurance compant, loss adjusters and builders for so long sure adds up !

The update on the house is... surveyor is out Thurs to see what has to be done! ie walls knocked down etc.... we have been told we are out for at least 6 months! we have rented an apartment (only a 2 bed one on the 3rd floor... nice and trendy great for a couple but not too good for a family in practical terms!)

We are soo looking forward to the holiday!

I sooo miss chatting to you all.... Im borrowing the computer at my friends house ( she goes to Florida on 29th Sep ) I will try and get on line now and then.
Take care everyone.... Linda xxxx

It is so great to have you back, glad you and your family are safe. Houses can be replaced, but not lives.:cool1:

Wolfgang is replacing Michael Anthony the Bass player - he is just 15 years old. I am not sure I would want my 15 yeard old kid on a rock tour with David lee Roth:rotfl2:

I loved their music as a teenager - might be a bit of "reliving my youth" to see them again

There has been no tears. But DH said that he got tears on Thursday of last week when he dropped her off. She is very excited about and I am really enjoying the time. Granted all I do is work while she is at school. But we are in a good pattern and I enjoy reading while waiting for her to get out of schoo.

That's good to hear--I hope I enjoy the time as well, but I am afraid it will be a little lonely around here--especially around lunchtime.

No "L":sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

"Oct. 23 + STS-120
STS-120 will be the twenty-third mission to the International Space Station and deliver the U.S. Node 2."

that si really too bad - so the launch that was scheduled for the 20th is now going off on the 23rd? do i have that right? which means we will be in grand cayman.

I guess now I wont have to worry about traffic issues on the morning of the launch (always see the silver lining)

Just got home from 6 1/2 hours at St Luke's Hospital with DH Dave. He started having chest pains, sweats, and arm numbness and drove himself to the hospital. After hours and hours of test we find that his heart is in great shape, so are his lungs, and they has absolutely no idea what is causing the pain. They feel that it is probably a chest wall problem, now he needs to see his internist to follow-up on the problem. I am so relieved that it is not his heart, it was really scary getting that kind of call at work.

We are so busy right now that the days are just flying by, My mom's 70th B-day is Friday, Kaitie's 13th is on the 30th, our 16 Anniversary is the 31st and Sean's B-day is Sept 13th. Can you say overwhelmed!! School is just another addition to our list of things to deal with.

Well I thought I would just say hi and commiserate on my good/bad day. Good that he is not really ill and bad I spent 6 hours at the hospital and can't wait to see the bill.

:scared:

Judy:sick:

Judy,

I got the same kind of a call at work in January from my husband. He wasn't having the numbness in his arms, but he was sure from the pain in his chest he was having a heart attack. He is only 37 so I was pretty freaked. By the time I got to the hospital he was comfortable. Turns out to be GERD--reflux--so now we are on a bland diet--but not on the cruise for me. :rolleyes1
