Hey Victoria, just wanted to thank you for the recommendation on the book last night - I haven't read it but I've added it to my lengthy wish list at Amazon. I'm always looking for a good book to sink my teeth into. :goodvibes

Brenda--you are more than welcome--I have always wanted to pick this book for my book club, because I really liked it, but some of the people in my group don't really like historical books. This book is historical, but reads like fiction--it really is amazing how the OED came into existence at all.

ps. PM me if you want to discuss HP7!!

Robin here...

I'd like to help you out, but it's 10 PM, I just finished working out at 8:30 and I'm off to the shower.

Mike's going to take over for me to keep the posts going.

Don't believe anything he says. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank goodness--all I want to do is go upstairs and watch the finale of Hell's Kitchen, but I am determined. ;)

Of course, when you watch Hell's Kitchen you have to eat something--you can't watch them around all that food and NOT eat something. I am thinking a little lemoncillo would be nice. Anyone want to join me--I have a bottle in the freezer?? :thumbsup2

Speaking of Lemoncillo...Brenda did I read once here that they make a yummy drink on-board with it? Do you remember what else is in it? Or was it some kind of sorbet? We just started selling it at our little wine store and it is majorly delicious--especially in the hot weather.

Speaking of books... have you read The Historian? I'm not usually a big fan of the "vampire" novel but this is a fascinating "fake" history of Dracula with a great mystery thrown in as well...I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

I'll definitely have to PM you later about Harry. There doesn't seem to be a way for us to talk about it in the Yahoo group without other people getting spoiled. So short of starting a new group just for HP, I guess the PM is the way to go.

By the way... I meant to ask earlier... how in the world do Florida alcohol sellers get their booze if the stuff can't be shipped across their state line? That's really been bugging me on a purely academic level. ;)

Victoria are you still there? I'm back my sister called and interupted my DIS time , how dare she :lmao:
Boy Jeff should be proud of you. You sure are working hard to get that 20,000 post! Good job!

Yup, 26th is the big day...make sure you guys get here by 1pm please, that's when we are starting :rolleyes1 We have two big trucks so we just need the bodies to do all the lifting. Mike, you're in shape right??? :yay:
:r

oh yea. but the only thing i worry about is all the women checking out rob , chuck and myself while we are lifting furniture. i know how you girls love your diet coke breaks.

Ooh, I might have to remember "The Historian" for book club--sounds like something one member in particular would enjoy. I will answer your next question in another post--have to keep our numbers up!

The last time we were at Palo at the end of dinner they offered us a tasty little drink with lemoncello, vodka, and champagne... I think. It was like a half-formed sorbet and it was delicious.

You should ask Heather about it - she remembers more than I do about and even knows what it's called. :thumbsup2

Of course I am still here--it's like I'm possessed or something!! :rotfl2:

YUMMY! Vodka is my favorite spirit and champagne is my favorite wine--lemoncello is my new favorite liqueur. I am going to have to start experimenting!!
