Cass,

When you take all those cool videos and pictures on vacation do you use one camera? Our digital camcorder also takes still shots and I may be using just that camera this Oct. It is a lot bigger than my digital camera, but if I can eliminate some equipment, I will.

Do you use dvd-r or dvd-ram disks in yours?

Nancy can you add Rosie to your list for DISS tag please or is she too late?....:confused3

Hi Chris. The AFEG family wants to play tag?? :cheer2: :dance3:  :thumbsup2 YEAH!!!! Nope, it's not too late. I'll move your family up on the food chain (oooops, I mean tag list).

I actually take TWO digital cameras and a camcorder. The camcorder does take still shots but only at something like 2 megapixels or something, whereas my cameras take 7 and 8 mp. It's a lot of extra equipment plus batteries and cards and chargers etc but it's worth it for me.

I have a digital SLR, which takes great pics but is so big, last time I just used it on the cruise but with kids on this trip I am debating bringing the SLR into the parks as it takes lots of pics quickly whereas our digital elph (fabulously small!) takes awhile to take a single shot and by then I've missed the moment. We will have a stroller this time, as well as a backpack with Kira's stuff so I just might bring the SLR and stash it in the bag or stroller when I am not using it.

So...last vacation I took roughly 6300 photos....(yes that's right 6300 in 3 weeks ::yes:: that's not a typo! :rolleyes: )

Who wants to guess how many pics Cass takes on THIS trip??? :lmao:

Kinda like guess how many jelly beans :rotfl2:

I'm guessing well over 10,000 Cass. :yay:

Wow, that is pretty ambitious Nancy! Although I am spending most of the 13th on my own taking pictures of the parks...so perhaps I could reach 10K :rotfl2:

I think I will go through the batteries that day!! :rolleyes1

Oh the main reason DCL gave was that with people ending up missing off of the ships, that they need to have your birthdate to give to the officals. This is their way of getting your age without comming right out and asking how old you are. Also they said if the ship was to ever go done they need the information for that purpose also. That and if you get injured on land and seek medical treatment on land they need it for that also.
Minnmick,
DO you know how old your parents are? If you have an idea or the easiest way to trick them into telling you is wai a few days and then ask you mom about her weeding. Moms love talking about their weeding, then you slip in the question of how old she was when she got married, now you have the year of the marriage and her age at marriage and you can figure birthdate easily from that. Another way is to ask her how old she was when she had you and subtract to get the birth year. There are many ways to figure it out. Just ask the same questions about your dad. If she is not feeling well she will probably not figure out what you are doing. Then call DCL and tell them. AS a last resort go to their house look in her purse and his wallet and look at the driver's license.

Good luck,

Judy

What does FO mean?

I met another cruiser yesterday, she works with me and has been lurking the website bt I think she is shy about writing, Hi Lisa. We both work for the sae company and she was talking to her friend, my partner, and mentioned she was going on a DCL, I asked which one and guess what it is ours.

Nice to have a nother DIney addict at the office

Judy:thumbsup2

Susan I can't wait to hear about your trip to Niagra Falls when you get back. We are thinking about doing a driving vacation next summer and Naigra Falls would be one of our stops.

You got it Ma'am! I'll give it my best details... We are in Pittsburgh for the night. Went swimming and had to yell that someone's kid was drowning in the jacuzzi. They were too busy talking to watch him. Scared the H*LL out of me!

I got to munch my little nephew today:cutie:

He's such a sweetie. He gurgles and chuckles now and sits up on hs own.

Neil and I were fighting over him to see who got the longest cuddle:goodvibes

His parents were like...erm ..can we have our son back please ...we wanna go home now:rotfl2:

Now that is funny!!!

What a small world! HI LISA... don't be shy...

Well, since you asked for one:

If you could pick one DISer from our thread (so a KKer) to have as your tablemate for the cruise, who would it be and why? (you can not pick anyone you are traveling with or who you already have ressies with)

Note: Everyone here would be fun to dine with, this is just a question of if you could only pick ONE person, who would it be. Please, no hard feelings if you don't get picked by anyone. It is just a fun question. Plus, I'm sure everyone will pick me anyways. :rotfl:

My answer to yesterday's question: St. Lucia and Antigua. I'm tired of St. Maarten and really don't need to go there again. St. Thomas would be o.k., just for the fact that we'd do Trunk Bay on St. John. The boat sails slower than full speed on the Eastern (19 knots vs. 23 knots) so I think if they speed it up, we could make those islands. St. Lucia looks really beautiful and Antiqua has beach for every day of the year (365). Not sure if St. Lucia would be a stretch to get to or not, but Antigua would be doable.[/QUOTE

I would be happy to sit and chat with any of you... and yes, Jeff, I was thinking of you at first but didn't want to wait in line... so I would have to say MinnMick01 or Averysmommy since that is who I am often chatting with after killing the thread with my great abundance of posting.

For instance... right now I am alone here right? Sooner or later one of them will come on here if only to tell me to STOP posting. They think i do not need a whole page to myself. hahahahhaha
