Hi Janice!!

No, I wasn't working today and neither are the roofers. They showed up this morning but left because it "looked like it might rain".

I actually baked 9 Zucchini breads, 3 chocolate, 3 regular and 3 cherry almond. I still have another huge zucchini left over. Guess I'll be taking it to work to unload it on someone else.

Yes, it has been quiet hasn't it? Is this the calm before the storm?

Lots of catching up to do.....

Florida was great, very very hot but great.
F.I.T. was great too.
Animal Kingdom was great and
so was Epcot!

I was SO MAD when they took the "2000" down but I was glad that they at least put something similar up to replace it. Now that's gone now too!

It looks so bare without it!

Cass, I saw this So sad.

And since they were taking it down, Spaceship Earth was closed.
We really missed seeing that again.

I'm Tyler the oldest son of momsof2boys.......
to answer the question she is not on the top of my favorite people list....we don't ignore her though ..we give her the respect she deserves as an adult...but thats about it. My brother tends to like her more than i do, but not by much.

Okay I've regular & chocolate, but never cherry almond, that sounds good. I planted late, so I don't have zucchini ready yet, is your's from your garden?

Welcome back, Rose, glad you trip was nice. If my memory recalls me correctly, you were checking out some school for your son? How did that go?

Wow, you have an excellent memory.
My son Sean really liked the school, except that it's in Florida...
he isn't the outdoorsy type and hates the heat.
But it is a great college, very small so he'd get lots of attention and
help.
He realized though that his career choice may be a lot harder than he imagined. Astronomer/Astrophysicist.... he's facing the reality that he may not be as smart as he thinks he is( boy does he need this lesson )
Anyway, he is still willing to give it a shot.... or check out other good alternatives at the same school...
New program starting this fall....Astrobiology..... Scientists who study and search for signs of any biological life on other planets.

So, he did put in his application already If you applied during the interview, they waived the $50 application fee

I think he can get in this school, but we'll have to see if he can stick with that very difficult curriculum.

Susan, You can bet that I'll be watching out of my peep-hole to catch your nephews. And I WILL make them sing some cute little Disney Princess song to me.

My DS Tony read your post and said that if he would catch them, they'd be buying him a beer because it lasts longer than a song. (Will Paul be 21 by cruise time?)

No he won't be...LOL (Not that he hasn't drank his share already at college from what he tells me...) he will be like 62 days shy of 21. hahahahahahahaha

Yeah, he's very into science and the idea of how life really began.
My son really doesn't believe in God and is very interested in learning more about space, black holes, string theory, etc...etc....
He has a part time job at our local Museum of Science and Technology and has been doing the planetarium shows
He's been the best of his class in Biology and Astronomy, close... in Chemistry....

But..... his math skills have been going downward the past 3 years.
( he used to be top of his class in that).
And all those careers involve LOTS of heavy duty math.
So, I'm about to hire him a tutor to catch up.

No... My kids are respectful to all adults. When the new wife tries, she can be a great step mom. But most times she is too sick to try. cough cough, a reason to stay in the room away from the kids. Sad really because I know I am not just bragging.. I have great kids.

He's 15 now..turns 16 in September before the cruise. I think he was hoping to lure some of the teens to the kids boards. hahaha

Worst story about him:

A few years ago article in the paper told of how sweet and caring of a man he was....
rescuing stray cats from his neighborhood...

I thought.... How wonderful! A fellow cat lover! (my DS and I volunteered at a cat adoption home for 3 years)

Then the paper later told of how he wasn't such a nice guy....
Turns out he was grabbing all those stray cats to use to practice his surgical skills out on them at home!

Horrible, terrible man!
