Good Morning Chris & Missy =) ::: checking her list twice::::

I need to call to book things and just feel like I am not sure which to book and do we want to book things or go on our own. Like with Palo... not sure what night to book so we don't miss too much... and is brunch or tea worth booking....

Also thinking about doing the small Mayan Ruins and beach so the boys will get a little education in without doing the whole day thing going into Mexico. Has anyone done that excursion?

At Castaway Cay I think they all want to snorkel so that is easy enough.

Everyone says, "What ever you want us to do..." So that leaves me holding the bag. hahahahahahaha

Susan,

I've never been to the western caribbean so I can't offer any advice on the Mexico thing.........

Palo is fantastic...i loved it! (but I've only eaten dinner there). I think you will find differing opinions here though! As to what day or night to go......thats tough. The dining experience on DCL is something that you really don't want to miss. It's more than just dinner......it's entertainment! (We waited until our second time through the dining rotation....we didn't want to miss anything in any restaurant on the first night!) It is very popular, and books up quickly, I do know that. We took our chances and waited until we got on board to book our dinner....we were lucky!

How old are your boys?......Is it your nephews that are in their teens?

Missy

Heather,

Forgive my ignorance but why is it cold there? Is it your fall or winter? Here it is summer and blistering heat everywhere right now!:scared:

Just to clarify on DIStag. That is 16 total, so you bring 15 gifts unless, of course, you wish to tag me twice!!:yay:

Good Morning Jessalynn!:) How are the kids?

very excited - we just put up one of those soft-sided pools that everyone is getting these days. We had one before and the kids loved it but it was only about 2.5-3 feet deep. This one is much bigger and closer to 4 feet deep.

Problem has been is that our backyard is not very level- has a real slant on it to toward the sides. So on Monday night I laid some roles of sod on the side to give it height - we then filled up the pool (took hours and hours) but it still slanted a lot. So we then emptied the pool all day Tuesday and put more sod down last night and filled it again.

LOOKS GOOD NOW. Spencer couldnt wait to get into it - he doesnt realize yet that the water is right out of the tap so will be freezing. He will probably still go in! Should be a lot of fun for us and both neighbours.

and of course the BIG excitement - Harry Potter tonight at 645 - WOO HOO

The pool sounds heavenly!! The boys would love to have one but unfortunately our home owners association will not allow any above ground pools......STUPID!!!!! (I'm actually surprised at myself......I usually buck stupid rules like this........;) )

Have fun at Harry Potter tonight!!! I'm soooooo jealous!!! PM me at let me know how it was and how Spencer liked it and handle things!;) Cody is really excited..........a little upset that we have to wait until Saturday.....but still very excited!!! This should give them something to e-mail each other about over the weekend!!:thumbsup2

Missy

My sons are 11 & 16 at the time of cruise, and my nephews 18 & 20. I tried to tell them that they HAD to dress like a pirate...hahaha didn't work. The 18 & 20 year old are worried they won't have anything to do.

Tell them its great fun!!! They have a deck party, all you can eat food and a best dressed pirate contest!!!! Tell them my 44 year old husband, 38 year old friend and 34 year old friend are all dressing.....renting costumes in fact!!!

Here is a pic of two of them from a previous cruise:

My 18 and 23 year old nieces went with me on a disney cruise 2 christmases ago.........they had a ball!!!! There is so much for everyone to do!! If these two "don't have anything to do" it is their own fault. There is so much to do you can't do it all!!!!:)

That is soooo neat! My little one is dressing. We got him the Pirates dress up kit for his birthday. On our last cruise he didn't dress up like anything and said he wanted to find boy costumes this time. That was one of my favorite things at dinner, seeing all the little girls dressed up like princesses. What a fabulous way to include them in the dinners!

No dear not funny trust me the weather here is rubbish...:rotfl2:

As I was reading your posts I realized that I was reading them with your accent...(not done well by any means). Isn't that the weirdest thing? I was not even aware of it at first.

I'm sure they will have a ball. It will take a little to get them to put down their "I'm so intelligent and not a kid anymore because I go to college." attitudes enough to just have some fun. I always tell them to have a little fun, they won't pull a muscle smiling. Not really sure why they want to grow up so fast...when you finally do, you just want to enjoy life like a kid again anyway.

Another good reason to go with the early seating....I am going to try and get the family to Port Caniveral by about 10am on boarding day - hopefully I can get us switched to early seating

Yes i am still reading way, way back... How early can we board?
