Susan,

I was thinking of doing that small Mayan ruin thingie too. Tulum is just too much for our 5 year old, but I think our 10 year old would love to see some ruins. He has said for years that he wants to be a geologist. I know it's not the same thing, but he loves science and history. The small Mayan ruin tour does NOT get good reviews in the Passporter, so I'm not sure what to do.

I have heard that the larger ruins in mainland Mexico were very long, hot, and boring for kids. I don't think that ruins are great excitement for kids but it does give them a taste of it. I'll have my 11 year old with me on it too so at least the kids could talk on the ride. Then there is a beach thing afterwards... isn't that the neat beach with the water trampeline?

Hi Robin!!! How are your parents doing? Hope all is well!;)

I wish I knew! I called there Monday evening... my dad answered. I asked to talk to mom. It took him a little while and came back to the phone and said something like... she didn't get it done? (What? I just told him... that's ok, I'll talk to her later. At that point Mom picked up the phone & I said... Where's Claude (My brother), her response was "at work" Needless to say he left them alone.

I said "I knew he was going to do that?" She said, Oh we're fine. I said "You can't even remember where you are half the time and you start walking and forget to use your walker. You almost fell on Friday."

She said, You just leave that boy alone, (he's 46, for crying out loud.), and then said, you guys have him a nervous wreck. I said, "If he's a nervous wreck, it's his own doing. We have done nothing but try to help! He wants our help, but only on his terms". (We have to stay with mom & dad every night from 5PM when I get off work until 12 midnight) because he works afternoon turn.:headache: :headache: :headache:

I tried to get some home care in there but he said he's got it covered. ( I new what that meant) And I was right. He left them alone.

The fact that she was defending him tells me that he went crying to Mommy once again. And she, once again, sided with him. (Some things never change) I tried to call there tonight, but dad answered and really couldn't understand what I was telling him, so I just said I would talk to him tomorrow.

I'm not sure if that's the beach--I should go look in my Passporter, but that would require a trip upstairs and I am feeling a little lazy--I will look later. :)

OK, I know I'm a bit behind here - but WELCOME to Momof2boys! :yay:

We've decided to do the Grand Cayman Island Tour through DCL, then book the Seaworld Explorer directly through Atlantis Adventures. DCL's website is acting quite strange. I've been trying to access my res all day, and just keep getting a message to "try again in a few minutes." Glad this didn't happen on Saturday when I was booking my Palo ressies! Talk about some stress!

Let's see, I still need to pay on our pre-cruise Poly stay, book our transfers (resort to port, and back), and finish booking our excursions. It's getting so close now, I'm starting to wonder if I'll have it all done in time! Ha-ha! We've had this cruise booked since March 06, can't believe it's just a few months away! :woohoo:

Yippy  Cable is up and running. I am so excited. I have been on about 30 minutes now and I have gone to Netzero to try to disconnect service. Couldn't do it because their system is down. I have gone to my bank site and balance my check book, I have checked my email, and gone to the dis cruise site just to see how long it took to load. I am so productive now.

:cheer2: CONGRATS CARRIE!!!:cheer2: I'm sure it seems like a totally different world to you now!!!:)

Scott here, Thanks. Other way around, she has treated me like Prince Charming. :cool1: Really I do my best, just ask cinnamike.

Yah just ask cinnamike what Scott has to do to dig himself out of the whole he keeps digging deeper and deeper.

If you look to the left, where our avatars are, you'll notice some people have quotes in color. That's the Tag Fairy's doings. The TF is a magical being who sort of monitors what people have said, and I guess if it's funny to her/him, we get tagged! My understanding is the the TF reads some boards more than others. If you spend a lot of time on the community board, for example, your chances to get a tag are better.

Robin,

I'm sorry things are so bad for you......and I'm even more sorry for your parents (especially because they are in a situation where they have no idea what is good for them). Did you ever contact the agency about the elderly?? I truly hope everything turns out okay for you and yours!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

And where is Karen? She must be laid out in the middle of her boxes with an empty wine bottle and cheese cake crumbs all around.......:upsidedow

We are happy today as we put our remaining balance on our Disney Visa today. :thumbsup2 If if wasn't for this dumb roof we would have it paid off by now. Oh well, we are still going and that's all that matters. Cheers!!!
