My wife is so paranoid about the behavior of our children at dinner. I tell her that our Kids are angels compared to the children I see day in and day out at the emergency room. Besides, If the children do misbehave on occasion, we will probably get nothing but understanding glances from the other parents who all fear the exact fate.

I am not concerned about my kids behaviour at the Dining Room Tables - but I am concerned with how much work it will be to get them to the Tables. if they are having too much fun, they wont want to stop to eat.

I don't even recall any children that were terrible when we dined on the last cruise. I think they are kept pretty busy watching people and such. The kids wearing the little princess costumes are busy seeing how else is wearing them to eat even. hahaha My son was so busy trying to figure out how to get those cherries out of his sprite to notice much more than that. He was 7 so he would count them and then drink some of the sprite.. then look around to see if anyone was watching... trying to fish them out with his fork and avoiding my look of scorn... Our waiter just winked at me and hold up so 7 fingers to show Trevor how many he puts in. I say, don't worry about it.. they will do fine once you tie them up to get them clean and ready for dinner. LOL

Does anyone live near Chicago? Does anyone have any advice on what to see while there? Scott and I are going there in a couple of weeks. I know I will be going to the American Girl Store.

Chicago is a GREAT town--we live about an hour from there. There is great theatre, museums, restaurants, and of course, shopping!!! Navy Pier is always fun in the summer too. Have a great time.

Good night everyone. Good luck to the Losers tomorrow.(Do we have any left?)

I'm still working at losing. It's slow going now though, I'm losing about a pound a week. 193.6 today. (That's 88 kg for you Canadians out there):goodvibes

Hello Steve...i feel like we've just been "visited"..:worship::worship::worship:

Speaking of peoples favorites........I still need to know some more favorite Disney songs!!!!!!!!! Keep 'em coming!!!!

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes--mainly because when our son Teddy was in first grade he sang it as a solo in the !st grade musical dressed as Prince Charming. I will post a picture some day when I learn how to do that!

Mine won't really be any different. They're good kids. My wife is pretty proper though and worries about little things like not using your fingers and the such. We have young children and I figure that much of that is to be expected.

Cass, Good luck with the new house. I truly hope this one works out for you all. And congrats on the weigh in. Weigh to go!! (That was lame, huh?):lmao:

Welcome Home Karen and Linda!!!

this is your home right???

You were both greatly missed here!! Glad to have you back! What a great day, both our UK ladies are back!! :woohoo:

What'd ya buy? What'd ya buy? Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me please! lol

You will just have to wait now little miss!!! No peeking!!! :sad2:

All this time I kept seeing the FO here and there. At the very first sighting I saw the words Fresh One and the lovely picture of Kira.. so I thought her mom was a bit odd announcing diaper changing in some odd way. LOL Then I kept seeing it and thought it was a clean form of cussing on the boards because I saw FO or FU asked a few times. So even seeing fresh one I thought what are they talking about? Re-reading to see if someone said some comment that seemed flirty or FRESH. And all this time it just meant a new page. First to post on the new page. I feel like such a detective. LOL

That is too FUNNY!! :lmao: :lmao:

Is it always 15 posts to a page? Does it vary with the size? lol thinking that this is a Loaded question on this board...

That is the standard, but you can actually change it in your user CP to have less than 15.

Yeah Cass!!!! Does you new place have AC????!!!!!:rotfl2:

Sadly, no :sad1: But I will cope somehow. We really only need A/C for about 2 months of the year so I will look forward to September :dance3:

Very busy thread today, got to see Karen and Linda and even Steve graced us with a couple of visits :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

By the way Linda, great pics!!! ::yes:: Looks like you all had a blast! You look stunning in your dress as did all your mates. I'm sure Chris will agree ::yes::

So happy for E, hopefully this turns out to to be a GREAT experience for her! :thumbsup2

Steve, good job on the weight loss yourself. Hang with us some more.:yay:

Speaking of peoples favorites........I still need to know some more favorite Disney songs!!!!!!!!! Keep 'em coming!!!!

My kids are partial to Grim Grinning Ghosts.

I've always loved the Pirates of the Carribbean Theme.

My wife is transfixed by the Main Street Electrical Light Parade Theme.

No worries, just sit next to us, we'll have an 11 month old in a high chair for almost 2 hours :lmao: Your kids will look like little angels!!! Oh and my 4 year old Niece Shyra has a VERY good set of lungs on her and she's not afraid to use them.....bet those KKers who are sitting near us are rethinking their choices :rotfl2:

Thanks Nancy! I already did my weigh-in for today....finally a decent week

Will it make the record as the longest thread ever on the boards? Do they shut them down at some point?

As long as you post every so often (I think once a week or every other) it will stay open (unless you get a mod that closes it on you for some reason).

Good morning everyone!

First things first...WELCOME BACK Karen and Linda!!:cheer2: :cheer2:
I miss you two. So glad you're both back and that things are winding down for the both of you.

Busy night again for the KK thread I see. It took me forever to get caught up this morning.

I have the day off because we are finally getting our new roof. Ladies, I did check out the roofers for any "Diet Coke Break" hopefuls and did find one worth keeping an eye on. :cheer2:

Now even better than the roof, I had my 2nd DISmeet this morning. Jeff dropped off his son at piano lessons only 2 blocks from my house and stopped over for a meet n greet. All I can say is that you are all in for a treat! You think he's funny here? Wait until you meet him!! What a wonderfully funny man. :yay: Karen, I'm a tad bit jealous that you get to have dinner every night with him. You are all going to just love him!!

A few of you wondered about a quiet awkwardness once we all meet. NOT GONNA HAPPEN PEOPLE!!! I just don't see that happening.

Looks like the dog wants to go out again. Of course I must supervise him and sneek a few peeks towards the roof. BTW...Victoria? I also invited the guys to help themselves to sodas/beverages in the fridge and bathroom breaks. (Beats thinking that they are peeing in soda bottles in their cars!):rotfl2:

Nancy,

You are apparently so much nicer than me. ;) My MIL was babysitting one day and asked whether any of the roofers would need to use my bathroom and I didn't know how to answer. I never really thought of it. :rotfl: I'm glad you got a hottie. We had two masons here yesterday and they were definitely NOT hotties--what with missing teeth and all. :scared1:

Was that the lead guy on the job? Did you have Rum in that Diet Coke? :lmao:

O.K., the official words out of her mouth after they pull up and the main guy gets out, "ain't no Diet Coke moment with this one." Then there was some comment about him being an old something or other. :rotfl2:

Awww, thanks Nancy. It was really great getting to meet you finally.

I thought of this as I was dropping DS off at the zoo for his zoo camp today (15 minutes early), I should have stopped back up with him so you could have met him.

I don't either. This group seem more easy going than my Jan '06 group, and we all got along pretty well. I think we will all have some really good times when we hook up on the ship and I'm sure several long-term friendships will emerge after the cruise.

We do too, arriving around 9:30pm!

Victoria,

Are you flying out of O'Hare? If not, how are you getting in so early?

edited because I'm an idiot again today and didn't read the post properly. I now see your in, in the evening. Duh!
