I'm pleased you had a good talk. I know sort of how you feel. I used to have quite a good job, but it was full time and with Neils job taking him all over and for loooong hours it meant I was doing everything - gardening, housework, decorating etc and we had no life. I went part time and then got made redundant a week before I went on maternity leave

- great timing eh! I had a little part time job for a few hours for a while but it didnt work out so now I'm at home all the time. I cant travel far cos I would be too worried about Ellis if I couldnt get to him in time if he had a bad allergy reaction (over protective mother I know, but I'd never forgive myself if I wasnt there for him). I would like to get back to work. I took a 3 year classroom assistant college course while Ellis was little so I could get a job in a school as a level 3 one to one assistant or classroom assistant, but the jobs are very few and far between so hard to find, so I'm still looking.

I dont have to work for hte money, but it would be nice to feel like something other than a mom, housewife, cook, etc
I'm not complaining - I have life easy - I get to the gym most days and shop when I want, but theres only so many pairs of shoes a woman can buy......

- did I really just say that!

- wash my mouth out with soap and put me in detention. A woman can never have enough shoes,... I repeat - a woman can never have enough shoes....phew!- dont know what happened to me there...I came over all funny and started sounding like a man
Seriously though, good for you trying to sort out your lives - it will make things better for all of you and benefit you all as a family.
