Was that actual Labor Day or the weekend? If we go, we wouldn't be going to the parks on Labor Day itself. We'd have to fly back at 4:00.

We would do the Pirate and Princess Party at MK on Friday night (maybe Typhoon that morning/early afternoon), Blizzard on Saturday, and on Sunday do AK, maybe a couple of things at MGM, and then EPCOT. MK has extra magic hours on Sunday night, but the parks are usually packed when they have those. Monday we'd sleep in, do the hotel pool and just relax.

It was both. They flew in on Fri and left i believe on Wed.

A faint faint glimmer of hope on the house move horizon:banana:

We now have a fax of the original mortgage offer document, so at least the solicitor can get to work, and the other issue re the house deeds is being sorted by friday:banana:

I might be moving next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Please throw a few Positive thoughts my way:goodvibes

Its going to be extremely difficult to type for the next couple of days cos I have every finger crossed:rotfl:

If I disapear for a few days it means my pc is in a big box waiting for connection in my new house:yay: I can log in from my gym to catch up every now and then, but I'll be busy unpacking boxes, so you'll have to keep me up to date with anything I miss.

Here it is: our new little house. Its teeny weeny compaerd to your big US mansions, but we're happy!

Thanks, but actually they haven't been doing too bad this month. They are still 40-31 and 7 games up in their division. They are 10-7 this month, but 7-3 in their last 10 games. Cordero blowing the game in Texas on the 9th (he is the best closer in the league right now) and the no-hitter thrown against them in Detroit on the 12th I'm hoping is their low point.

Even if they do win one, lose one for the rest of the year, they'd end up 85-77. That may be enough to win the NL-Central (the worst division in all of baseball).

They usually have two bad stretches in a year where they blow their chances. Right before the all-star break or right after. In years past, the slump would just never end. I'm hoping they stopped their slide on the front side, now just have to limit it on the back side.

They need to get back over .600 though. That would be winning their next 6 games (unlikely).

Hey Jeff, I thought I was doing a better job keeping up with them. I watch Sportscenter when I can. I did see the high/lowlights from the no-hitter and thought of you yelling "just 1 hit, please" My son keeps me up to date on the top hitters for them. With the work schedule I miss a few days of sports each week. Hope they keep up the good play and hit a couple of hot streaks along the way.:cool1:

DH here (scott) , Hello Heather. :wave2: Usually my DW is on this, but I sneak on when she is a work during the day. Usually it is me and Cass that chat late at night.

Karen, We are keeping our fingures and toes crossed for you. The house looks very nice and cozy. Can not wait to hear the good news when you get it.
pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: To you and the family.:shamrock:

Cardinal fan chiming in...

the Central Division is sooo bad... we in St. Louis still think that we have a chance to make the playoffs come October. As long as we stay within 6 or 7 games of first by the All-Star game, it's a distinct possibility.

Not that I'm under any illusions - we totally suck - but so does just about everyone else in the division. :lmao:

I give props to the Brewers - they're playing pretty good baseball these days. But I'm with Jeff - seen them fade too many times in the last tew years after the All-Star break.

Good luck Karen!! :goodvibes

Hi Karen, Scott here. I forgot about you being a Cardinals fan. My DS and I are big fans of Albert Puljos. I have had a few occasions to hear him speak on the radio, and he is a real stand up guy. Boy what fun if the Cardinals and Brewers end up neck and neck down the strech. Just remember no team are as bad as the other team across I70.

Ok, I'm intrigued, what's a button scrapper?

Heather

I think scrapper Jill is her name!:lmao:

Looks good Karen. Good luck for next week.
Heather

Thank you!

I

Just don't walk into the wrong house Karen. Do all the houses on your block look similar? Very nice crib!!

The 2 in the picture are mirror images of each other - the other 3 in the close are different. I like ours best cos it isnt being eaten by ivy:scared1:

Thank you all!

Karen, Scott here, I confirmed that there is a British grocery chain opening up here in AZ. I was at my Dads and he and his wife(they are the ones that have traveld England before) told me there was, but could not recall the name. I was way off when I said Nice and Easy before. Still researching it.

Ok Scott- I'll wait to hear the name. The only ones I can think of are asda, tesco, somerfield, co-operative, 7-11, safeway, waitrose ...erm... ..my minds gone blank!

come on ukers - what others are there?

I bet you'll be disapoined with the choice anyway - us english like your food better - especially your cheesecakes and steaks!:rolleyes1

I don't understand. :goodvibes

Put your mind in the gutter with mine and then you'll understand. :rotfl:

Don't I have to be at least 60 to be an old hen? :rotfl2:

Well if that is the case, since 40 is the new 30, then 60 must be the new 50, therefore, if you are 50, then you are 60. Confusing? :confused3

If you don't like that answer, then we can just refer to you as "Mother Goose".

It was both. They flew in on Fri and left i believe on Wed.

We'd be going Thursday night through Monday afternoon. If we go, we may have to go to MK for extra magic hours then on Sunday night. If it is that dead, we'd be able to get on the rides.

We were thinking of doing Donald Breakfast at AK that morning so we were in the park before 9 and closer to Everest than the normal people when the park opened. It was closed last time due to mechanical problems (never did open that time). If it is dead, we might be able to use the sit down option elsewhere and just go at the normal time that morning.
