Am sorry i said anything now,can we all just agree to wear clothes of some sort while at the dinner table?....

Here trousers are a version of mens pants/slacks. Our onesies are normally short sleeve and don't have legs or feet. The just snap with 3 snaps between the legs.
I actually read pole dancing the first time round![]()
- I had to re-read! Might seem a silly question, but what poles are you painting?
Happy pole dancing..I mean painting![]()

Karen, Pole Painting is an Ancient Chinese Ritual.
No, not really. All 42 of them are now a bright cherry red.![]()
Chuck and I just witnessed a horrible motorcycle accident!!A man and his wife were riding side by side on two separate bikes when he hit the curb and lost control of the bike. He ended up sliding under a car which was waiting to exit a driveway.
Very scarey! Blood all over and the man was not breathing until a woman in the car behind us (a nurse on her way home from work) performed cpr. His wife was just freaking out!!
The accident was so bad that they had to call "Flight for Life" to come to get him to a hospital. (Flight for Life is a helicopter medical service reserved for critically injured people who may not make it to a hospital in time if they had to resort to a regular ambulance).
Slowly, each family member showed up and everyone was in hysterics. After an hour and cutting off all his clothes, they finally got him onto the stretcher and into the helicopter.
We spoke to the nurse and she said that she didn't think he would make it. He had multiple skull fractures, two broken legs, and more than likely multiple internal injuries.
HE WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET!!![]()
I like the idea of sitting close to you Cass, if I dont like any of the desserts I can just chomp away on Kira's cheeks![]()
Pants over here are mens underwear not trousers. If you told Neil he had to wear pants to get in Palos he'd be![]()
Really? Haha, that is one I didn't know!!
Isnt it strange how everything is so different and yet we speak the same language!![]()
It is funny! My brother-n-law says some things that just crack us up!! The other day he was talking about something being "close" (as in distance) and he said "It was a bug's d**k away" OMG I almost lost it!!![]()

We're all going to have fun whatever we call stuff, but I'll always cringe at the word fannypack. We call that a bumbag.
I will have to remember to YELL WAY ACROSS the terminal..."Hey Rob, do you have my fanny pack??? No, wait, it's ok I found my fanny pack!! Do you have your fanny pack??
We also say "get in the queue" rather "get in the line" - that always catches me out too.
That one is easy cus they use "queue" a lot in WDW. Although for the longest time Rob kept saying "queue line"It really irked me..."Honey, it's either QUEUE or LINE...not both!!!"

One more thing while I'm at it - the toilet doors in America - you have big gaps round the hinges like an inch gap and the door doesnt reach to the floor- we find that really stange over here - our doors fit really snugly with no gaps and are from floor to the top of the cubicle. It takes me ages to get used to that - In fact - I never get used to it! Especially when you get some little kid peering under the door while you're erm....
! - sorry! - rather graphic I know but a very funny smilie!
I always thought that was a very silly thing about public washrooms, we have the same here in Canada. Although some places like McDonalds and Moxies (restaurant) have doors all the way to the floor with no gaps!

Should he wait until Robin leaves before he comes over Mike?![]()
I remember buying Ellis some Pyjamas from America once - they were Toy Story Woody ones, but when he got them out of the packet the trousers (bottom part) were really tight and skinny legs - almost like tights without the feet! - our bottoms are loose and a bit baggy. He hated wearing them.

Saturdays are very long and lonely for me. This is wedding season so Rob is out DJ'ing every Saturday and he leaves around 2pm and isn't home until about 3 am.
By the way, do you UKers use that name a lot, dolly? I call Kira my dolly cus I know that if my mom were still alive she would be calling her Nanny's little dolly and mom was from Scotland and people look at me weird when I call her that, so I was thinking maybe it's a UK thing?![]()
Mike update
He has been in a rehabe center for the last week and a half. He got his hair cut. He is regaining his strength and walking more, assisted. They think he will get released to go home in the middle of next week. His long term memory is unaffected, but his short term is gone. However it is gradually improving week by week. His vision has been affect also so they need to see someone about that. But overall he is ready to go home.
Update on my mother.
I think this will be the last update on her. She is doing very well. Actually, my uncle and grandmother are in town this weekend visiting with her and she actually wants Mackenzie to go over and spend the night tomorrow night with all of them. She is still taking about a 2 hour nap a day. But she is out and about doing things as long as my father drives. The drs are looking at taking her off of one of the heart medications within the next month. She does have some memory loss, that I don't see correcting itself but I just realized today that I need to tell her about the things that are different so she can work on them. Who knew.
