Wow, Nancy! I hope I'll get ours before we sail then.

If not we can always still go with just our birth certificates, passports aren't required yet unless we have to fly home from one of the islands in an emergency.

Are passports positively not needed? I probably should have read forward to make sure that it hasn't been talked about so forgive me if I am beating a dead horse. I read the stuff in the welcome book and it specifically states that not only yourself, but all family members will need a passport for the cruise if sailing on or after December XX, 2006. I can't recall if it was clear whether you did still need passport if booked well in advance.

If it has not been posted already it sounds like Bush is going to whack needing a passport all together on out bound trips, you'll just need standard items and a receipt of your passport application. It also sounds like that might only be that way through September.

The way it stands right now is you only need a passport if you are flying out of or into the country. All cruise passengers can still use birth certificates for identification. The only way it would be an issue for you is if you needed to fly home in an emergency. This is not supposed to change until January of 2008. Disney Cruise Line did have info regarding this on their website...not sure if it is still there......and they were suggesting you go ahead and get one. I'm not worrying with it this trip. Hope this helps.

Has anyone ever been to Key West......we are having such a hard time deciding on an excursion here. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the place.........anybody have any memorable experiences here??? (other than the frozen, chocolate dipped, key lime pie......I already plan on doing that! )
