Robin, isn't it nice when you meet so many great people on board? Did you two, Cass and Rob, and Walt & Di, "meet" each other on a DISthread before the cruise?

We also met so many wonderful DISers on our first cruise Oct 15th, 2005 (right before yours). Brenda & Jason (Oybolshoi) and Jo & Danny (Perdidobay) were the two couples that stand out in my mind. They were all going to cruise with us but in January Jo and Danny had to pull out and then Brenda & Jason had to cancel. I really hope that one day we can cruise together again. At least you know that you have one thing in common. DISing!!!:yay:

We all met on the dis boards. We were all asked to join another diser for dinner on the ship, Cass & Rob had other plans but Walt & Di and Mike & I ate with them. We really bonded with Walt & Di, going on excursions together. (We haven't heard from them for about a month. We're wondering if they're on vacation or something.)
Like Cass & Rob, they are a great couple and we have kept in touch since the cruise in 2005.

When we arrived at the terminal before the cruise, we recognized Cass & Rob outside and approached them. That's the neat part about the dis boards and the "Who's going" page, you recognize everyone and are able to talk as if you've known them all along. During the whole cruise we ran into them and enjoyed talking to them. We have some good pics of them pirate night.

Robin

I heard that photopass will be ready for fall '07 I don't know how this will affect our cruise.

Hey, I need an invite to the KK yahoo site. I had one at one time, but I didn't use it right away and now I think that I lost it when I built my new computer.

My family's life is extremely busy these days, y'all. I know this is the case with most of you with kids in school. So I just want to take this time to say thanks to all you KKers for posting and giving me a reason to decompress.........This board has been great! Cass-I bet Kira has changed since we last saw her......How 'bout another pic?

much rather be on the cruise with you all than at home with my lazy, computer addicted, arrogant teen.

Been there, done that. believe me... they do get better. Our son had his days, but is now a great guy.

It'll get better.

Robin

NANCY, please dont encourage robin to tell our stories:rotfl2:
by the time we cruise ill be the laughing stock of the ship:lmao:
its ok, i can take it:thumbsup2

Nancy,

I think we need to tell Mike to mind his own business. :rotfl2:

(he knows I'm only kidding. )

Robin

think this has alreay been answered, but yes, you need 20 gifts that will go to 20 different cabins.

Yes, Jessalynn. I was trying to get an extra Tag gift from everyone. :rotfl2: (Just Kidding).

GREAT NEWS, NANCY!!

How are you going to celebrate?

Well, I thought I would celebrate with an Ice Cold Miller Lite, but everyone deserted me for Kick Boxing work outs tonight. Looks like it just me and the dog until they get home.

....let's just say paybacks are sweet:love:

Sure, I'll send pirate: Jack to your stateroom...after I'm finished with him:rotfl:
Sadly, I still won't be sailing in October.........

but I'm still hoping we will all cruise together again someday!!!

Me too, me too!!

Way to go Nancy!!!!!!!! Wooooo HOOOO!!!!!

Thanks Cass!!

Anybody know when Linda is due back?

I think she said it was a weeklong vacation, so I'm thinking she's home by Sunday.

That is great news Nancy, now do you get to wait 1 yr for checkups??:woohoo:

Thanks tons Janice. Yes, no more check ups until next year.

thank you I will go check that out. So are we looking at just the adults doing shirts or the whole family? Are we all planning on wearing them on the same day or just whenever? :confused3

Carrie, I think we were planning on wearing them for the DISmeet picture before the Wine Slamming Exhibition. (OKA--Wine Tasting):rotfl:

GREAT NEWS NANCY!!!!!. maybe ill go get cinnamon and do a happy dance for you. (or let her do one for me)

Thanks Mike but I'll let you keep Cinnamon all to yourself. :cutie:

I enjoyed my Bud Nancy:goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed the Bud. I'm having mine tonight yet.:thumbsup2

Nancy, the passport agency told us that they were dedicated to getting them processed within 10 weeks but we've heard people say they've gotten their's at around 12 weeks, so by my count they should be receiving them within the next week to 2 weeks....the April one should be about July. Still you'll have them way before the cruise.

I'm not too worried about Kristin's, Stacy's or Jesse's because the website said they were being processed. I'm a little confused on Tony's though. He applied almost a month before Jesse and when I look up his it says that nothing can be found. I would think that if they cashed his check, that they should have it. We'll check back in another week or so.

Yeah Nancy:banana: :thumbsup2

Thank you, thank you Rose. Don't be a stranger. Hang with us, we'll make you happy.:yay:

CONGRATS NANCY!!!!!

Very good Nancy so glad to hear that everything went well. Now you can have some piece of mind. :jumping1: :mickeyjum

Thanks ladies! Now if I could only win that lottery. That would REALLY give me some piece of mind.

NANCY, please dont encourage robin to tell our stories:rotfl2:
by the time we cruise ill be the laughing stock of the ship:lmao:
its ok, i can take it:thumbsup2

Mike, I read all the stuff that Robin writes and it reminds me of Chuck. I think you guys are brothers. :rotfl2:

Nancy-
TERRIFIC NEWS!!! Thank goodness!

Abby

Not only did I thank "goodness", I thanked everyone and everything imagineable. I even gave the receptionist at the office a big old hug! (I'm such a wierdo)

Cass & Nancy,

If it's not full, Mike & I will join you guys for the wine tasting. We don't drink either, but it'll be fun to hang out together. Do you have to pay anyway?

I missed this conversation earlier.

Ahhh, now that's the ticket!

Nancy,

I think we need to tell Mike to mind his own business. :rotfl2:

(he knows I'm only kidding. )

Robin

Yeah Mike, what she said. :) More stories now please. :yay:

Robin

Robin, just send Lindy Loo a PM. She's is handling the whole thing for us. I think she also heard that non-participants don't have to pay. Even if we do, it's only $12.00/person. For me, that's a small price to pay to see my fellow KK's drink themselves into a stupor with me close by with a camera. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

BIG NEWS IF ANYONE IS FLYING AIRTRAN

I just went on their site to check out flights for Labor Day weekend and they have an icon to see seat availability. This is new. You use to not be able to see it.

Then I see that they took away the "seats assigned at check-in" from the "deep discounted fares". Also, those are now called "more advance purchase".

Anyhow, I went to my reservation for October and you can now select seats. It cost $5 more per seat per flight, but you don't have to wait until 24 hours in advance. Furthermore, Exit Row is available for $15 per seat per flight. We can't do ER because we fly with DS, but it's nice to be able to book it.

So, if you want to get your Air Tran seats assigned, do it now. I'm sure this will be emailed over night. This wasn't there last night and I can't remember if I checked this morning.

HELLO ALL!!!!!:yay:

The second half of the "Virginia Duo" has returned and oh how I have missed each and everyone of you!!!

Let me tell you my story........

Last Friday a.m. my DH called me at the office crying (yes, crying) in pain. He was trying to drive himself to the ER while in excrutiating pain and hanging his head out the window (if you know what I mean). Scared to death, I told him to pull over and call 911.....well, you know men, ......no way! So I told him to stay where he was and I would come for him......

I got him to the ER where they immediately put an I.V. in him and pumped him full of pain medication. They then took him for an abdominal ultrasound. Turns out he had gallstones, one of which he tried to pass. Unfortunately it had lodged itself in his bile duct causing inflammation and infection of his pancreas! Poor man. He was, of course admitted. Over the next several days he was given heavy doses of antibiotics and pain meds to try to improve the condition of his pancreas. After this was accomplished he was then taken to surgery where his gallbladder was removed! It was only just last night that I was able to bring him home. I don't know who was more relieved him, or me!!!

Anyway, to make a long story short.....I have been shuttling back and forth between home and hospital, trying to take care of our kids, myself and my husband, the best I could for the last several days........I'm glad we are finally on the road to recovery!!!!!! I'm exhausted!

I know that I have missed much.......I spent several hours last night and this a.m. trying to catch up........

I know that I cannot possibly reply to all that I have read but here is an attempt:

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL YOU JUNE BABIES!!:cheer2:

Mike: I'm glad your mom is doing well!!;)

Karen: Sorry to hear you had to go through so much turmoil about Ellis and his Epipen. What a worry for you all day! My oldest son is allergic to peanuts and must carry a pen with him......it is surprising that some people and places are so ignorant when it comes to the life or death of child.....hang the rules and give my son the shot if he needs it, thats what I say!!!!! (great pics from that day by the way) I also love the idea of a group picture....what a great keepsake....I'm there wherever, whenever.....:thumbsup2

Carrie: I'm still praying for Mike's bosses son......and his mom. Hope is what helps us carry on.....I pray she continues to hold onto hers. As for you, my dear, don't let your mom and her situation ruin your excitement and enthusiasm for this trip! We are ALL going to have a blast.......you never know, by the time the cruise comes round, your mom might be dancing circles around you at Rockin Bar D!!!

Linda: Hail Dorothy!!! I put my names on the Yahoo spread sheet. Thanks for all your efforts!!! (With the week I've had, I wish the tasting was tomorrow!:yay:

AFEG: You little fibber!!!.....You need to change your DIS name to AHEG!!!!! (Did we get to SEE you before Brenda did???) (She's really in for a treat when she gets back!!!);) And your children, gorgeous! I was ready to believe that they got their looks from Hazel but then you posted your pic....:cloud9: !!

All KK Losers: I put myself on the Yahoo Spread Sheet (Jeff...you're a god!) Great job everyone!!! We are gonna be the best looking bunch of cruisers on the boat!!:cool1:

Cass: LOVE the shirt idea.......whatever design or logo, count us in!!!!!:woohoo:

Jessalyn: Please tell Spencer that Cody is not ignoring him.....we are finally getting our lives back to some order and he will be emailing him soon!!:)

and last but not least.........

Nancy: AMEN!!!!! I am sooooooooo happy and relieved for you.......Way to go!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: By the way, how's the finger?

I hope I haven't left anyone out......I missed you all just the same!!!

Well, I guess I better stop yapping and post this already........Glad to be back....

Missy:yay:

Wow, look how late it got while I was writing my novel......I'm off to bed for some much needed rest....that is if I can get the hubby into a comfortable position for the night........I'll be back chatting tomorrow......night all.
