Kelsey's promotion (graduation) went well today. Boy has school changed since I was a kid. She made honor roll, which is a first for her. :cool1: With everything that has gone on in her life this yaer I am really proud that she did so well in school.

:cheer2: Good Job Kelsey!! :cheer2:

Now, if I may brag myself alittle. Kristin just looked up her grades and scored straight A's!! Ended up with a 3.986 GPA (one A-)for this last semester. Because of her grades she hopes to be approved to carry 17 credits this fall to assure graduating in December. Turns out that she needs only one class to graduate next May if they don't let her take the overload. It would be a shame if she had to go until next spring just for one class.

:cheer2: 2 more sleeps for Brenda and Jason:cheer2: I think I am looking forward to this vacation for them more than they are. (Emmm, maybe not.) It means a great vacation for two great people and yet another fabulous TR for us to read when they return.

Actually, two new TR's as I believe she is doing one on food porn also.

Nancy, congrats to Kristin.

Any chance she could take a class or two over the summer? What about at a univesity that will transfer? Just nice to lessen the load if possible.

There are 4 classes offered this summer. She only needs one of them and is taking it starting next week.

Awww... you so nice to me.

Congrats to the all the smart schoolies out there in DIS-ville! :thumbsup2

Technically, three reports (great...eh maybe, lengthy...absolutley!) because the Argie isn't finished. BUT...I did post an update from the Steam Train tour we took. I'll have to finish that segment tonight, but it's about 2/3 done if anyone wants to take a look.

I quoted Karen in this one. ;)

Have a good day everyone - it's gonna be busy on my end. :upsidedow

I just got on and see that I don't even have a whole page to catch up on since last night. I need my morning fix of reading. Where is everybody?

Jeff--I wanted to let you know I pm'd Sean and asked about the bracelets. My DD10 and his DD11 talk often and we stay in contact. I told him to let me know or to pm you if they are interested. If I hear from him I'll let you know.

Good morning Carrie. I know what you mean about the posts being slow lately. We all need to do better or we might get in trouble with Jeff.:rotfl2:

Come on I need something to read, everybody elses life is what gets me through my day. It is going to be a rough day at work today. I have to work in the freezers which means I will be cold all day and the day will drag. I know someone is out there and has something to share.

Good Morning Lori. It just is not the same when no one writes. I think they all forgot that we have a goal to make with our post numbers. :goodvibes How are you today?

You have every right to brag, that is a great accomplishment.

I may have joined after this was discussed, what is her major??

When do you expect your tests results??

Good morning everyone  I didn't have a chance to get on here the last 2 days and it looks like I have quiet a bit of catching up to do again.

Good Morning All!!:wave2: :wave2: Just wanted to jump in and say hello!

CONGRATS TO KELSEY AND KRISTEN!!! :rainbow:

Not much happening here in Virginia. Same old "run the kids around the county" kind of stuff. :crazy2: Last night we had another baseball game and did'nt get in until 8:30. After putting the kids to bed and getting the house cleaned up there was little time left for anything but going to bed myself!!!:faint:

(I was pleasantly surprised that I did'nt have more pages to catch up on here!!!)

Well, I am at the office and there is work to be done!! Touch base later!
Have a good day all!

Nancy I know I am late in wishing you good luck but I hope and pray all went well and I hope I find an update to this as I continue to get caught up here! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

If it isn't too much to ask, I am being selfish and asking for a few little thoughts and prayers myself this morning. I'm going for my 6 month cancer check up today...in about 1/2 hour. Wish me luck....please!

I am really enjoying reading about where everyone is from!

Jeff did a great job of summing up WI!

I live in Muskego which is southwest of Milwaukee. I actually grew up in Muskego, Al grew up on the "south side" of Milwaukee. When we got married we lived in Milwaukee for 5 years not far from where Al grew up and then we built our house here. Muskego isn't really known for anything and we don't have a quaint downtown or main street. When I was growing up Muskego was very much a farming community but now many of those farms I would ride past on the schoolbus are built up with subdivisions.

Cheryl

We are the Dairy state. I think we still produce the most milk. California is close, not sure if they took us over. We use to be the Beer Capital (Milwaukee) as well, but St. Louis is now. Flag day started in Wabeka, WI (my brother use to live right near there). I also believe the Republican Party started in WI as well (one of the two main political parties in the US).

And most importantly, and I'm sure you heard of this little company, Harley-Davidson is headquartered here in Milwaukee.

We also have Kohler (toilets, sinks, tubs) and Jockey (underwear) here as well. Trek bikes are from Wisconsin.

Wow, I didn't even realized until I started putting all this down what we have. I know there is a lot more companies, but I won't bore you.

Milwaukee is a small town with just under 600,000 people. Including the metro area, where Victoria, Cheryl, Nancy, Judy and I live (includes Waukesha, Racine, Ozaukee, and Washington counties - the suburbs of Milwaukee), there are a mere 1.7 million people.

I on the other hand, live in a small town. There is actually a farm right behind my house. The town I'm closest to is about 8,000. The municipality I pay my taxes to (further away than Hartland) is over 10,000 I believe.

I tried to find a picture online of Hartland's downtown (2 main streets) but I couldn't find one on Google. The center of town is quaint (Suz and I were just talking on Saturday that we'd love to have a house on one of the main streets). Once you get out of town a few blocks, it loses that small town charm - quick.

Any other questions?

:grouphug: pixiedust: Mike and Robin keeping you and your mom and dad in my prayers. Hope all is going well!

Cheryl

This is Robin...

I am finally able to get on here for a few minutes. Thanks so much for the sprinkles.

Our next few days are going to be rough. Mike's dad has emphyzema and has to carry oxygen at all times. He walks about 20 steps and has to sit down. So, I think we're going to have to take him to and from the hospital because he's not going to be able to walk from the parking garage to his mom's room. (Not to mention changing his oxygen tanks.)

When he gets upset or anxious he gets worse, so this week is going to be tough. We're hoping he doesn't end up in the emergency room. (At least we'll be at the hospital.)

I had a funny story to tell everyone, but I'll tell it to you after all of this is over. Now doesn't seem to be the time.

Once again... Thanks for the Pixie Dust.

Robin
