Lots of  :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug: for Nancy!!!!

I was born in Montreal, Quebec....a lot of rude french people....good food and a beautiful city!

OMG, we woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow and it's still snowing!!! Hello, this is MAY people!!! What is going on???

If it isn't too much to ask, I am being selfish and asking for a few little thoughts and prayers myself this morning. I'm going for my 6 month cancer check up today...in about 1/2 hour. Wish me luck....please!

DH here: You have our many thoughts and prayers.:goodvibes We hope all goes great for you. Good Luck!:thumbsup2

GOOD LUCK NANCY!!!!!!!!

Freckled Lemonade is Strawberry Lemonade. And at Red Robin, it is the Bomb!

Get that and the A-1 Peppercorn burger and you will be in Heaven.

Note, the burgers are huge, so if you don't eat a lot, split a burger with someone. Suz and I will be doing this next time we go. Our problem is we each like different burgers.

DH here: Thanks for the great recomondation. I usually get the Bleu cheese burger or the spicy burger.:thumbsup2 What was even better is DW went with the Banzai burger and loved it. She hardly ever does anything but her usual .

Thanks

We are the Dairy state. I think we still produce the most milk. California is close, not sure if they took us over. We use to be the Beer Capital (Milwaukee) as well, but St. Louis is now. Flag day started in Wabeka, WI (my brother use to live right near there). I also believe the Republican Party started in WI as well (one of the two main political parties in the US).

And most importantly, and I'm sure you heard of this little company, Harley-Davidson is headquartered here in Milwaukee.

We also have Kohler (toilets, sinks, tubs) and Jockey (underwear) here as well. Trek bikes are from Wisconsin.

Wow, I didn't even realized until I started putting all this down what we have. I know there is a lot more companies, but I won't bore you.

Milwaukee is a small town with just under 600,000 people. Including the metro area, where Victoria, Cheryl, Nancy, Judy and I live (includes Waukesha, Racine, Ozaukee, and Washington counties - the suburbs of Milwaukee), there are a mere 1.7 million people.

I on the other hand, live in a small town. There is actually a farm right behind my house. The town I'm closest to is about 8,000. The municipality I pay my taxes to (further away than Hartland) is over 10,000 I believe.

I tried to find a picture online of Hartland's downtown (2 main streets) but I couldn't find one on Google. The center of town is quaint (Suz and I were just talking on Saturday that we'd love to have a house on one of the main streets). Once you get out of town a few blocks, it loses that small town charm - quick.

Any other questions?
DH here: I have a question...ever been cow tipping?:rolleyes1

We know all about rude french people when we visit Disneyland Paris:mad: - they simply havent learnt the art of queuing:mad:

I know nothing about Montreal - more facts please. Look what a good effort Jeff produced once prodded;) - You'll go to the top of the class if you can give me few more facts.:teacher:

DH here::firefight OK Nancy here you go. I am speaking for myself, because I would never speak for DW (might get myself into trouble).

I was born in Southern CA in a city called Van Nuys. Lived on Runnymead Street for 16 years. I moved to AZ when my Dads job transfered him to Mesa,AZ. I have lived here since. Mesa is known for being the snowbird (winter visitors) capital of AZ. We get so many from the Midwest and Canada that one can not go anywhere without meeting someone from somewhere else. There are not to many Native Mesa (DW being one) people so it is more fun trying to find out who was born and raised in Mesa. There are a few dairyies around our community and orange groves.

Mesa is the third largest city in the state with a population of 120,000 or so, might be a little more. We are located about 30 minutes from Phoenix ( the capital).Mesa was founded by a group of LDS (Mormans) looking for a better place to practice their religion. Also in Mesa from the months of Feb. to end of May we get spring training for major league baseball. We boast the most strip malls per capita then anywhere else in the US. And I think we are shooting for the most sports bars, too.

Side note: Naco,AZ On the broder of AZ and Mexico was the only place Bombed by a foriegn country in the continetial US by air. Also we had one Civil War battle fought out here at Picacho Peak.
Hope that helps, I could go on with the history lessons, but as DW would say "Stop you are boring me"

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: - They are everywhere over here.

That is what my Dad said when he was driving around there. He did pretty good, only banged up car once. Other than that he did OK driving on the wrong side or the correct side of the road. :rolleyes1

If you do not mind me asking...what are ADRs?

Thank you, its not boring at all - I find it fascinating finding out about you all.
The nearest we've been is to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon from Vegas. The state border at the Hoover Dam - I had one foot in each state:rotfl:

We are the same in Europe - they drive on the wrong side of the road there too;) When we're in US we have to remember on the first day that you can turn on a red light - you cant in the UK and it always catches us out on the first day and someone ends up tooting us to remind us:rolleyes1

ADRS - :rolleyes1 - "Advanced dining reservation".....organised people (AKA Brenda) ring up 180 days before they travel and book their restaurants in the parks and disney hotels and character breakfasts etc. If you turn up at most restaurants in the park and ask for a table that day they will probably laugh at you - (I think Le Cellier is one of the worst in Epcot Canada - booked up months in advance.)

I still havent rang and booked mine yet:rolleyes1 - I'll end up at a fast food counter service at this rate:rolleyes:

Thanks for the history, you kinda forget all that Wisconsin has to offer, until you put it down on paper.

We live in a small town of about 9,000 people, and are in the middle of cranberry country. I believe we are the #1 or #2 in the country for cranberries production. The Ocean Spray plant in on the outside of our town.
We have Fort McCoy also, which is a large military training facility. We mobilize units from all over the country before shipping off to Iraq. We also demobilize the troops when they return.

Whats a cow chip festival? - I'm intrigued:eek:

A Cow chip is dried P**p. :rotfl2: They see how far people can throw them.
Believe me, never touched one and never will, but I did watch, just to say that I did. I took part in the other festivities, eating and drinking.:woohoo:
